nobody realized these players were average under Amodu, m o f, when he declared that SE were a congregation of average players, hell was let loose. Now that the cookie has crumbled under Oyibo Lagerback, they are now quick to declare that we have average players. Its funny how we accomodate Lagerbacks ineptitude and run down Amodu's technical genius and hard work |
even if you give Lagerback a billion years, he wont do better than he has done. Lagerback na 'Olodo'. He had 8 years with Sweden and what came out of it? 2 consecutive second round places in the WC, One 2nd round finish in Euro 2004, with a talented Sweden side that has Kim Kalstrom, Ibrahimovic, Elmander, Ljunberg, Mellberg and even Larsson that came out of retirement. Now that he has failed in flying colours, when now realize that we have average players whereas Amodu with these players qualified us for the WC and met his S/F target at the nations cup. |
^^^how was it Amodu's fault that Martins could not convert about 4 clear chances against Ghana in the nations cup? I guess Lagerback must have believed he could work some magic or wasnt he aware we had 3 months to the world cup when he signed his contract. His rapacity could not make him make the right decision. There's no excuse for Lagerback's failure. Now we are blaming the players as if it's not these same set of boys that played when you all were calling for Amodu's head. I hope you all now realize we are getting nowhere with a foreign coach. |
just 2 grand slams on grass when we have 3 grand slams on grass in a year. |
i guess Yakubu put the two goals behind our net or it was Yakubu that gave away the freekick that the led to their second goal. Even if Yakubu had scored that sitter it would have been two all at that point and the Koreans wouldnt have been so silly to give away a penalty. Always looking for a scape goat |
If we had won the world cup would you leave Lagerback out of the glory? If this performance came from under Amodu no one would spare him. Lagerback should be sacked. Give him a billion years in charge of the Super eagles they wont do better than this |
always looking for who to blame. now its Yakubu. Did Yakubu give Korea their two goals? |
shut d hell up! must you always blame someone? was it Yakubu that put two well struck goals behind Nigeria's net? |
thank goodness there is no Kaita to heap the blame upon. |
There's no constitency in female tennis |
I dont think Uruguay will score any more goal. They probably scored that not to make it look like a conspiracy. Its up to SA to score 2 more goals |
Uruguay with a goal. If it ends likes SA wont be going through |
nothing on earth justifies a death threat. Is he the first player to get a red card? Sending offs' are a part of the game. The people sending him death threats are deranged. Havent they seen teams that have gone ahead to win games despite being a man or two men less? What if Yakubu or Obasi had converted their chance? These people are just looking for someone to heap all the blame upon. |
Gallas is playing, isnt he one of em rebels? |
I dont know if France will field a team. South Africa is to poor to take advantage of the ructions in the French camp. Prediction: 0-0 |
^^^yeah, you are right. Nadal is only good on clay and playing those masters series. Outside of clay, he doesnt exist |
just like playing football manager. guess it's to late to join |
Swiss cant top the group and their qualification will largely depend on how Spain and Honduras goes. If Spain beats Honduras by a wide margin then Switzerland will face tough task qualifying because they are not a high scoring side, they are a very defensive. The goal they conceeded today is their first in 6 world cup matches. Spain on the other hand will have a brighter chance of qualifying if they beat Honduras by say, 3 goals, because they'll likely face a second string Chilean side. I think its gonna be Chile and Spain |
now Spain just needs to beat Honduras. Chile will rest its big players and play a 2nd string side against Spain so Spain will win. |
Yes! Fed has done it. Who be Falla, sef? 5-7 4-6 6-4 7-6 6-0 |
@ boombell i think we have very good local coaches. We dont have to go outside of our shores to get a good coach. If we give our local coaches the neccessary support and time and are also well motivated, they will do great. The few times we have given them the chance, they have not done badly. |
I hate this Swiss team, they just refuse to play football |
Falla really gave me a scare. Fed is leading the 5th set 2-0. |
I cant believe this. Whats happening to Fed? Anyways, its like Falla is having a problem with his leg |
means CIV are out |

I love the Pomo tomato paste ad. 'my mummy is the best cook in the world' the delivery is too on point. As for MTN's E-presence, the add is too unreal. Was the guy waiting to surprise them? And where were the other company big shots when the device for the MTN E-presence was being installed in the office? |
In as much as i am a proponent of continuity in our football set up, i dont think Lagerback is the right man and his contract should not be renewed. In his short time in charge, Super Eagles have made their worst performance ever. There's nothing promising from Lagerback. |
cant believe i missed this game. |
The organizers should have waited till the end of the WC. Anyway, I'm with Federer. Federer will win because: 1. Grass court: Federer owns the grass court. Federer has only lost twice in 7 years on grass court. The second defeat was two weeks ago to Hewitt at the Halle Masters, Germany. He has a 76-2 record on grass in the last 7 years. 2.Form: Nadal lost to Feliciano Lopez(30) in straight sets in the q-finals of the Aegon masters while Fed. made it to the final of the Halle Masters and lost narrowly, 2 sets to 1 to Hewitt(26). 3. Wimbledon: Federer is to Wimbledon what Nadal is to Roland Garros. Federer has played in 7 finals winning 6 and only losing to Nadal in 2008. |
They are just looking for a way to 'chop' money which was why they hired Lagerpay in the first place |
After two rounds of group matches, this is how the teams stand: P W L D F A D PT PAR 2 1 - 1 3 1 2 4 NZL 2 - - 2 2 2 0 2 ITA 2 - - 2 2 2 0 2 SLK 2 - 1 1 1 3 -2 1 |
