usbcable:Looks like Varane would love to learn the hard way. . . Didn't he see Canales, Pedro Leon? Why would any young player join Madrid? It's suicide IMO. I guess this also means bye bye to Garay. |
usbcable:We are actually making profits. The club is only trying to clear debts owed from way back, that's why things appear a little tight as per finances. We are trying to be clean and Green. Seems we've lost out in the race to sign Jose Valdes to Roma. Our defence is where needs reinforcement the most and going by our activities in the market, it seems it's where would be the least strengthened. Milito and Maxwell are most likely gonna be shipped out this summer and with Puyi's injury worries, we need to bring in one or two guys and promote some of our B team defenders like Muniesa, Bartra, Montoya to have enough cover at the back and avoid a repeat of last season where Busi and Masch had to become emergency CBs. . . Montoya, from what I saw at the U-21 tourney is ripe enough for the first team now and would be a very decent back up for Alves. The deal for Kiko Femenia is almost complete. He's had his medicals and should be putting pen to paper pretty soon. I think he's going to be for the B team as a replacement for Nolito. Meanwhile, one of our Juvenile players, Gael Etock, has joined Chelsea. In the last couple of months, we've lost: Gai Assulin(Man City) Ruben Rochina(Blackburn) Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral Harper(Arsenal). . . Now, we really have got to do something to prevent clubs poaching our young players. |

Dolphins close gap on Sunshine Dolphins have equalled Sunshine Stars on points at the summit of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) following a one-nil win over Kaduna United on Wednesday. In their own rescheduled game at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe, Sunshine Stars suffered their second heaviest defeat in this campaign. Gombe United ran over the league leaders 3-0. The win for Dolphins means they go on same 57 points with Sunshine Stars but the latter edge them on a healthy goals difference. But Dolphins still have an outstanding game to play and a win would see them overtake Sunshine Stars by three points at the time. Playing their home games at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt due to the ongoing National Sports Festival at the Liberation Stadium, Dolphins started brightly. It took just seven minutes for the 2004 Nigerian champions to open score through Osita Echendu. And the goal turned out to be the winner in a game that Dolphins lost too many scoring chances while Kaduna United nearly got on level terms at the death. But Sunshine Stars were soundly beaten 0-3 in this rescheduled Week 26 game by Gombe United to stretch their losing streak at the ground of their hosts to three years. The duo of Adamu Mohammed and Sanusi Sani got the goals for Gombe United. Mohammed opened the floor for Gombe United's rout on the leaders on 43 minutes. And 10 minutes into the restart, Sani got his first goal of the season. Sani was on hand to poke home his second and Gombe United's third of the afternoon on 69 minutes to down Gbenga Ogunbote's men. Gombe United are now on 38 minutes after playing 29 games. http://naijaligue..com/ |

Ocean Boys banished, Chukwudi banned Referee attacks have led to Ocean Boys been banished to Abuja and Sharks defender Fortune Chukwudi banned indefinitely by the NPL. At the weekend, fans of Ocean Boys assaulted female assistant referee Grace Agodosi from Anambra State after their team forced visiting Kwara United to a 1-1 draw. The fans apparently blame Agodosi for disallowing what they described as a good goal against Kwara United. Match officials also reported that former Nigeria youth international Fortune Chukwudi attacked the referee during Sharks 1-0 loss at Enyimba in Aba. “Ocean Boys have been banned to Abuja and Chukwudi banned until the NFF disciplinary committee meet,” NPL executive secretary, Tunji Babalola, informed MTNFootball.com. “Fans and players cannot take the laws into their own hands and as such they have to face the music.” Ocean Boys are hovering around the drop zone on 35 points from 29 matches, only five points of the relegation pack. Sharks have hit a bad patch lately and are now eighth in the standings with 44 points. http://africanfootball.mtnfootball.com/live/content.php?Item_ID=46052 |

duke4ever:Apparently, you listened to FRCN commentaries. . . We had not even a single shot on target, we could hardly string together three passes. Our girls had no clue, none at all. |
Different toilet, same sh!t and its fucking insane. They're contemplating removing subsidies from fuel and increasing electricity tariff just so they can pay the 18,000 minimum wage and yet our lawmakers are spending billions on accomodation. . .This is just so sick. |

Syenite:not true. he still played for the U-20 team in 2007 with Sagio Aguero's setagain, not true. Ahmed Musa is a very good player and he has the chance of representing Nigeria at different levels, nothing wrong with that. Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll do the same for England. |
^^ oodles of junkities. 2000-2011 champions league: La Liga - 5 EPL - 2 Europa League: La Liga - 4 EPL - 1 Doesn't this simple fact above put the UEFA co-efficients to shame? This is a much better metric to judge which is a better league and not the bogus UEFA co-efficients that don't mean nada. . . I bet you don't know how they calculate the co-efiicient points, no? |
Rice is my fav food. I eat rice everyday. I think why we love rice so much is because there are a lot of things you can make out of rice and it's also cheap and easy to prepare. We don't have a lot of options as regards food which just makes eating rice almost inevitable in this part of the world. |
Pele scored those goals playing in the Brazilian league and the MLS. . .He really needs to shut up. |
I suggest we pull the plugs on the Sanchez deal. Sanchez is a very talented player but is quite unproven. . . Even the 38m we're rumoured to have tabled is way too much but I'd swallow that since the transfer market is soiled and Sanchez will be a great addition to our squad but 50m? wtf? Anything over 40m is madness. At this rate, I really don't mind if he goes to City. |
Stealthy:Been a while man, welcome back. |
honeric01:He played for Plateau United, he grew up in Jos. |
honeric01:Insurance of Benin, I guess. No clue about the number 2. What's your own with jersey numbers nah? ![]() 3> Name the local club Taiye Taiwo played for while in Nigeria and also include his shirt number |
debosky:€69m was splashed on Ibra and Bojan was benching him towards the end of the season. €16m on Keirrison and he's yet to make a start. €28m on Chygrynsky, €16m on Caceres. . . Barca can splash the cash if they want to. I think this Cesc thing is more political than anything else. The fans want him, the players want him, the media are all up in the frenzy. . . Any president that brings Cesc has sealed his place in Barca's folklore and then, elections are coming up - you've have to win over the fans. If Barca wants Cesc, they'll splash the cash. They're about to sign Sanchez who is quite unproven for around €40m and can't pay a little over that amount for a Cesc they've been chasing for God knows how many summers and winters. |

Leonoel202:This has nothing to do with skin colour. I thought Warner promised a "tsunami"? Well, he's been shut up and we will never get to what's been happening behind the scene. A mafia style job. FIFA is irredemably corrupt. Shame on everyone of them. |
