49 goals for Messi. Breaks Zarra's record of most goals scored in a season in La Liga. He's been all about this season.
The Messi haters should start looking for another irrelevant stat because Messi has scored against a Mourinho led side grin

The game has failed to live up to it's billing so far, entertainment wise. You'd be forgiven if you thought this was an EPL game, no thanks to Mou's 3 DM's tactics.

Hi guys, I just joined the game - bad weather and stuff.
I'm surprised to see Puyi on the pitch, he only just got back.
What in the world is Mou up to? 3 DM's?? I've never seen this all my life. The game is just too rough.

Dude has been getting alot of negative media attention lately:
First it was that he stole "holla at your boy", then, it was rumoured that he was arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into the UK, and now this.
There's nothing wrong with dropping out of school, it will give him more time to concentrate on his music.

^^ Don't mind the Messi haters. Messi must leave Barca before he can be acknowledged as the best - what an inane idea!
I guess the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paolo Maldini, Frenec Puskas, cannot be considered as greats because they succeeded at one club?
Anelka should be regarded as the best player ever for being a journeyman.

Cruyff: Barça only need two Clasico wins

Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff believes the Catalan giants only need to win two of their four possible meetings with Real Madrid as they close in on a potential treble. The two sides meet in La Liga, with Real eight points adrift of Barça with seven games left, on Saturday with the Copa del Rey final coming just four days later.

The rivals are also almost certain to meet in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League meaning they will face a quartet of mouthwatering clashes within 18 days. But former Barça player and manager Cruyff, who recently returned to Ajax in an advisory capacity, does not believe Pep Guardiola's side need to concern themselves with trying to win all four games, pointing out that it is highly unlikely given how closely-matched they and Real are.
Can Real or Barça win all four games? Is it probable? On the contrary, it is very unlikely.
Johan Cruyff, Barcelona legend

Cruyff said in his El Periodico column: "Can Barça or Real win four direct duels in 18 days? No. Because they are two very good teams, two very good competitors, and they are going all out to try and win silverware. Can Real or Barça win all four games? Is it probable? On the contrary, it is very unlikely."

Cruyff believes that Barça would be better off focusing on winning the Copa del Rey final and the home leg of the Champions League tie. "You do not need to win four straight against your great rival to prove you're the best," he continued. "At least from the standpoint of Barça. Coming from where you came from, to earn what they've won, play like you're playing, your goal is not the full four.

"Your goal is to win the appropriate games of which there are two: the final of the Cup in Valencia and the return of the Champions League semi-final in Barcelona. One is worth a title, the other a place in the final. If the club were to win the Cup, even win three of four games, but lose their place in the final at Wembley would Catalans be happy then? Surely not."

Barcelona claiming €6 million in damages from COPE after doping allegations
Catalans take Spanish radio station to court after insinuations in March that the club were involved in illegal doping related practices.

Spanish giants Barcelona have demanded a little over €6 million in damages from radio station COPE in the wake of their recent insinuations that the Catalans are involved in doping practices.

The broadcasters quickly retracted the initial comments, that also accused Valencia of similar treatments, but the Camp Nou club have moved toward legal proceedings.

"FC Barcelona has today presented to the civil courts in Barcelona a lawsuit against Radio Popular S.A. (COPE) for an attack on its honour deriving from the comments made by the journalist Juan Antonio Alcala in the programme ‘El Partido de las 12’, on March 13 this year, which linked sportsmen and medical staff from the Club with doping practices," a statement on the club's official website reads.

"FC Barcelona considers these comments to have damaged its image, prestige and reputation and that they constitute a clear attack on a constitutional right which this lawsuit will attempt to redress.

"In line with the technical valuations used to quantify this type of injury, the club is claiming €6.190.090 in damages."

Barcelona are currently preparing for the league match away to domestic rivals Real Madrid on Saturday evening.

How much ground must you cover before you can score?
How much ground did Stankovic cover before he scored against Schalke at the San Siro?
Is it until you cover the length and width of the pitch before you can score?
Useless stats. Typical 'cry wolf' English journalism. Why didn't they tell us how much ground Rooney covered during his goal drought.

Yes! Hala Yellow subs!!
FC Twente 1 vs Villareal 3. Rossi netted his 9th EL goal of the season and his 26th of the season. They'll now face Porto in the semis. I wish them luck.
The other s/final is between Braga and Benfica.

For United and England, of course. Torres' scoreless run for Spain and Chelsea is less than that of Rooney.

Rooney played 1081 minutes without a goal, Torres, less than 800 minutes.

Kwara Utd show Kpakor, Osagie exit door

With few days to the kick off of the second round of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), the management of Kwara United has placed 12 players in the transfer market including the duo of Kelvin Kpakor and Monday Osagie.
SuperSport.com had reported in mid-March that the club will offload 12 players and shore up its playing personnel with six new players.
It has been learned that teenage attacking midfielder Kpakor, who is son to former Nigerian international, Moses Kpakor, has failed to impress head coach, Kadiri Ikhana.
Young Kpakor’s disciplinarian record at the club has also come under focus, as Ikhana is said to be unhappy with the player’s anti-club activities.
On the other hand, Osagie has been declared absent without leave since he was suspended indefinitely earlier in the season for misconduct.
Coincidentally, Kelvin Kpakor was one of the six players suspended indefinitely by Kwara United.
SuperSport.com has also gathered that two other big name players – Sibi Gwar and Soga Sambo – have been told to seek employment elsewhere by the management of the team.
It was learned that among those thrown into the labour market by the Premier League club include Sakiru Adetona, Mustapha Salihu, Yemi Olanrewaju, Benjamin Nwaogu, Lekan Agunloye and Chinedu Ajanah.

Bazuaye seals N1.92m deal with Lobi
Former Enyimba player, Daddy Bazuaye, has agreed to join Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Lobi Stars, ahead of the resumption of the second part of the football season in the country for an annual wage of N1.92 million.
SuperSport.com has learned that Bazuaye, who moved from Minna-based club, Niger Tornadoes, is expected to earn as much as N160,000 monthly at Lobi Stars.
The deal is expected to run for 12 months, it has been gathered.
A club official revealed that the monthly pay of the player is that high since he brokered a deal that did not include a signing-on fee.
“I can tell you that Daddy Bazuaye has agreed to join Lobi Stars. But he will not be getting any signing-on fees from the club. Instead he will be become one of the highest earners in the Nigerian league because Lobi Stars will pay him N160,000 per month as salary,” the Lobi Stars’ official confirmed to SuperSport.com.
The attacking midfielder has had a difficult spell at Niger Tornadoes since he joined them before the start of this season.
But the former Under20 Nigerian star is not the only player to be signed on by Lobi Stars in the mid-season transfer of the Nigerian topflight.
The Nigerian club have also signed on three other players to strengthen their playing personnel for the restart of the league.
Midfielder Otanwa Otanwa has been added to the playing personnel of Lobi Stars on a one-year deal.
Otanwa, a former player of Akwa United and Enyimba, was signed from Wikki Tourists.
Two other players – Ebele Okolo and Oliver Nsidibe – have also been signed on a year deal each.
Okolo, a youngster from Inter Enugu joins from Heartland while Nsidibe comes from Royal Forces in Makurdi.

Oops! My bad. I thought it was greatest CL matches. My eyes have been on holiday lately.

Greatest final:
Real Madrid vs Valencia in 2000- Morientes, Mcmanaman and Raul were all on target for Real. Real played some badass footie that night.

Barca vs Man Utd in 2009 - Barca simply outclassed United.

Most boring final:
Juve vs Milan in 2003

So Torres should single handedly turn around Chelsea's fortunes, eh? Well he could, if Chelsea weren't filled with deadwoods like Lampard and Anelka.
