I have always argued with friends about Messi and CR7 . CR7 have been in 3 leagues and he has proven to be one of the best in his generation even at country level, a one man horse. But Messi have been in spain since 11yrs old and many still say he is better than CR7. If he is, he should come to EPL and prove his worth in front of shawcross, samba, emerton, Vidic, JT and co then i can say he is the world best.

He hasnt done anything good for his country thats why they love Tevez more than him. Messi in Argentina is nothing but CR7 remains a warrior.

As for Barca, Wen PEP spoke at the news conference before the match, i tot JM would pick his plan but he never did. PEP told the world that everything would settled on pitch  in another fashion and i knew they were going to force the ref to award some silly fouls. If you watch Laliga would see that They have won through this tactics many times. Am not saying they arent good ooooo but Busquest, alves are spainish actors not footballers and UEFA need to look into their play act.
Messi has won the Argentine Footballer of the Year award, 5 times in the last 6 years - they must really hate him in Argentina.
Messi has scored against Man Utd with Vidic. He has scored 6 goals against Arsenal. He retired Asier del Horno from Chelsea - and these are EPL's best teams. I can't even imagine what he will do to your very much revered "shawcross, samba, emerton".

@topic,
why was everyone in the barca team rolling on the floor as if they had knife cuts? at the end of the day, how long did it take dani alves to return to the team? who among the barca players had injury in the game.
uefa under platini is a shame.
Didn't Di Maria also dive or you didn't see that?

and I ask you all,  please answer this question

was Pepe's foul a Red Card offence?
Ever heard the term 'studed challenge'? I'm sure you saw the pictures above. You don't show your studs when making challenges, if you do, you'd get a red.
It's the same reason Scholes got sent off against Man City in the FA cup semis.

MeGaStReEt:
lol @Busquet. This guy have no business with football. I saw this guy fell down, hold his face as if he was elbowed, but when I watched the replay, we saw that did not even make any contact with his face, rather his leg, but he (Busquet) hold his face and start rolling around, with the ref surrounded with all Barca players and the rest on the bench about to enter the field to join in the protest, the ref gave the Maldrid player a yellow card.

Barca play some good football, but, why would they have to cheat to get their opponent booked? I thought Dani Alves was never going to play football till next season. its just too bad
And Di Maria didn't dive?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Must Barca Cheat To Win! by medjai(m): 10:16am On Apr 28, 2011
In football, you don't show your studs when making a tackle, that's why Pepe was sent off.
Scholes was sent off for a similar challenge on Zabaleta in the FA cup semis.
Y'all had better go learn the rules and stop complaining.

Hi Cules,

I really do not bother about past statistcs, can any team come out and tell us that it has not been receiapients of some margins of error officiating in  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ past?

Fast foward to  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ present and todays contentious match, Can JMouth tell  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ world that a table-forehead-shaped Ade is better than a Kaka, Higuain, and Benze?? No out and out striker in  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ 1st half and  Y☺u have a 250milla bench? He got it all wrong and and met a stiff resistance in a ref that knows his onions.

Come to think of it, we played and won  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ last 4 classicos prior to his moving to Madrid with his ghana-must-go, all those wins were clean with no reds (I stand to be corrected), why is it that since he packed in, red cards started flying  hither-thither?? He was extremely lucky to lay his hands on d CDR, if Abidal had been around and Villa was @ 50% best, it would have been a forgotten issue.

I look forward to Di Stefano et all having a running battle to save  ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ leagcy of Madrid, this is no soccer from Real Bullocks
Mou is one gaffer that has really benefitted from poor officiating.
In his time with Porto, when they played United in the CL, Scholes had a clean goal that was disallowed. If that goal had stood, Porto would have been knocked out and Mou would have been an unknown element in the coaching world today.
With Inter last year, Milito's offside goal was allowed to stand when the played us in the semis.
In the Copa this season, Madrid would have been knocked out by Sevilla if Fabiano's goal was allowed. The ball clearly crossed the line.
It's really annoying when Mou keeps ranting and ranting about the "scandal of Stamford Bridge"

Did you see dat too? God bless Pep, he has learn how to stop Mou silly tactics. With our back 4 like dat there is no way Madrid will counter. We need to trash dat Jose Muniru again come tuesday. I will like a 6-0 score line.

I wouldn't take the predictions of Octopus Iker serious. I see it as some of sort of Madrid propaganda aimed at dealing a mental blow to our players. These psychic octupuses aren't always right. Octopus Paul predicted Germany winning Euro '08 and Spain went ahead to win it.
I like the fact that we head into this game as the underdogs. It takes pressure off us.
We already know what to expect - Mou will once again play Pepe in the middle to try to stifle our play and with Khedira injured, he will sacrifice either Di Maria or Ozil for Lass and also play Alonso in the middle - which is good news; no more hide and seek games. I also expect Mou to play Ade because of the aerial threat he poses. I think Madrid will be looking to use their aerial strength to full effect.
We also know what to expect from Pep. The only challenge now is the defence but I believe we can hang on. We've played with a make shift defence for major parts of the season.
I think we can get a good result at the Bernabeu, a win possibly. Madrid will sit back and allow us play and try to hit us on the break. Tactically, I think that's suicidal because they're at home and they should be the ones attacking. If they sit back and let us play, we will press and press, unlock their defence and get a goal.
Just as I had predicted before the game. Mou played with 3 DM's and started with no striker despite having Benzema, Ade and Higuain, all fit and it backfired.

I also have been following Spain after France 98 to this moment but sometimes i feel opportunities should be given to those that it is due. I am not arguing here that valdes or reina are better than iker or iker is better than the others including upcoming de gea. When will those players ever get the chance to represent their country if some old players do not leave the stage?

Iker should leave after the next euro nations cup or next world cup so that the other ones can do their bids as well. Raul, morientes and guti affected the emergence of the other stars just like xavi, senna and alonso is somehow affecting the chances of cesc, carzola, juan mata, valero and busquets. Sodaldo and lorente also need to wait for a long time before they will become regulars, even thiago alcanranta is on the waiting wing with david silva still very much around.

Still so many young stars coming up littered in the youth teams of barcelona and real madrid when the likes of granero, negredo, caceres, bojan, pedro, pedro leon and canales do not even know where they belong right now. The defence is fairly okay with ramos, pique and arbeloa coming up but who is going to replace puyol when he leaves?.
Spain have a surplus of talent and the squad is relatively young. The oldest members of the world cup winning are Capdevilla and Puyol, both 33, they may retire after Euro 2012. Xavi is 31, David Villa and Xabi Alonso are both 29. There are many talented players that may never get to represent Spain in major tournaments.
Spain has alot of very good players and they will dominate world football for many years to come. Their 2nd, or 3rd string side can even win Euro 2012.
This what a 2nd string Spain line up would look like:

------Reina------
Iraola---Marchena---Albiol---Arbeloa---
---Martinez---
Navas---Fabregas---Mata---Cazorla---
---Llorente---

There's no space for the likes of Valero, Soldado, Negredo, Joaquin, Granero and a whole of other guys.

so how are they going to calculate the aggregate scores huh
I'm not really sure but normally, it should be 3 goals awarded to Kaduna United. It's usually 3 points and 3 goals awarded to a team in a case of a walkover win.
I heard Etoile are challenging CAF's decision to award Kaduna United a walkover win. I don't know how it will pan out in the end because the match was moved to Ijebu Ode and the Kaduna United players were present at the match venue and also the match commissioner appointed by CAF.
Meanwhile, TP Mazembe were beaten by Wydad Casablanca. If they fail to turn things around in the 2nd leg, they'll not make the group stage. I'm tired of TP's dominance of the CL. . . I pray Wydad gets a draw at Lubumbashi.

Valdez is spain number three and so shall it be until iker and reina retires or must the first eleven come from barcelona? tongue
You sef know say Casillas' days as Spain's no. 1 are numbered. I can't count the number of times Valdes have won us matches. Three Zamora Trophies and another one coming at the end of the season. Very soon Casillas won't even have a place in the national team grin David de Gea dey wait.

Yeah thanks. But then, he played in the Portugese league, not very competitive.
I really hope the Caceres story is true. . . we're seriously in need of defensive cover.

Well, we don't know the extent of Maxwell's knock yet. Incase he doesn't recover in time for the classico, Alves would be our best option to play at left back. He sometimes plays as LB for Brazil so that Maicon can play at the right.
Puyol, if fit, might then play as right back and Masch and Pique would pair as centre backs.

2-0 in the end, an okay performance. They just went there did what they had to do and got the three points. You guys were right, Pep was right to have started Villa. He ended his goal drought and that will boost his confidence going into the classico.
Kudos to Valdes for making that game changing save in the dying minutes of the 1st half. . . I wonder why he isn't Spain's no. 1.
Messi hits goal number 50. I don't think anybody has ever scored these much goals in a single season. Maybe, Mario Jardel but I'll check it out.
