Politics › Re: Wike Promises A Transparent Govt When Sworn In by megacity: 5:54pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
akinsadeez: He must be kidding himself if he thinks that sham of an election would stand. I won't be surprised at all if the election in Rivers is cancelled by the court. All the local and international observers have come out to say that the elections in Rivers did not meet the minimum standard of conducting elections anywhere.
All Patience jonathan and the crook of a Rec have done is ensure that Wike is sworn in on May 29, but they won't keep him there forever. By the time the case gets to court, Jonathan and his wife would be out of power. Wike will soon experience what Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the likes experienced. Rigging can only get you into the post temporarily, it wont keep you there. Its reasonable to say that Wike won the electon. It is not easy to rig every polling unit and every local govt in a big state like Rivers |
Politics › I Expect Amaechi To Congratulate Wike by megacity(op): 4:57pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
Even if wants to challenge the results, I expect Amechi to congratulate Wike
One the margin is very wide Two it is practically difficult to rig every polling station and every local goverment, especially when you are running against a formidable opponent like an incumbent governor Three Wike has been declared winner by INEC |
Politics › Re: US Embassy Alleges Massive Rigging In Rivers, Akwa Ibom by megacity: 4:20pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
Amechi and Dakuku can go to court. I expect Amechi to know that anyway, it was the court that made him governor in the first place.
We just need some quiet now the elections are over
The American Embassy is of course correct about Rivers and Akwa Ibom, unless you dont like the truth |

dinachi: True to predictions, Rivers state gubernatorial elections is full of surprises. As I write, there is palpable tension in PDP camp with patience Jonathan moving back and forth between okrika and Inec office in Aba road. While wike and corhorts were busy celebrating victory in a few ikwerre LGAs, Dakuku was busy doing the needful in riverine areas and port Harcourt. As of now Dakuku is leading in 17 LGAs. what is the source of your info? Are you the state REC? |

Politics › Re: How The Igbos Shot Themselves While Blindly Giving Block Votes To The President by megacity: 10:23pm On Apr 09, 2015 |
Marvelle: With the just concluded presidential and national assembly election result announced, many voted for the national assembly candidates inline with the party of the their preferred presidential candidate, also those that rigged the election were tuned to this ideology.
With the upcoming political dispensation, out of the 109 seat available on the upper chamber of the National House of Assembly, all but 49 are from the President-Elect political party APC, and it happens that no South-East representative is from the political party that will be at helm of affair.
As APC shops for the new Senate President, a position which ought to have been zoned to Igbos to ensure diversification of power and equity, there is no single representative from the south-eastern region, as such they have lost a pivot role in the Buhari-Osinbajo led administration. The bitter truth is that they gave block votes to President Jonathan and also blindly rigged themselves out of the incoming government without a foresight of the consequence. For details click http://marvisairemwen..com/2015/04/how-igbos-shot-themselves-while-blindly.html You don't need to cry louder than the bereaved my friend. The Yoruba's did not occupy any of the top seats at the centre these past four years President - NIL V, President - NIL Senate President - NIL Deputy Senate President - NIL House Speaker - NIL Deputy Speaker - NIL Are Yoruba's not still alive and well?? The position of Senate President is not as important as you think. The senate President is more like a class prefect and only gets to vote on issues when there is a tie .... The SE did produce plenty Senate presidents during Obasanjo's time and it didn't get to make any difference for them, did it?? David Mark has been Senate President for some time now, what difference has that made for NC or even his native Benue State?? Understand that the most important thing is for whoever is Senate President, irrespective of his / her origin, to do a good job for the benefit of the entire country. All the zones in Nigeria cant produce Senate President at the same time! |

it's all about standing for what you believe, and the SE have never believed in Buhari; it's now left for Buhari to prove the SE wrong, by his performance, that he is deserving of being Nigerian president. Even SW just voted him the first time, the fourth time of asking, and he will have to prove that he deserved that support |
