Phones / Re: 5 Ways To Save Your Phone When It Falls In Water by megawax8: 7:23am On Mar 08, 2017
For phones with non removable batteries, It doesn't make much of a difference soaking in rice when there's power in the battery......It only worsens the case. It may have worked for you, but it's very risky.

Try as much as you can to take the battery out or at least disconnect it.

Take the phone asap to an engineer.

Worst case scenario, break the back of the phone. It's cheaper replacing a phone cover than replacing an entire phone.

Business / Re: Nigeria Stock Market Bounces Back, As Investors Gain N33.9bn by megawax8: 10:02am On Feb 17, 2017
dammy13:
The persistent losing streak on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, was halted, yesterday, as investors gained N33.9 billion propelled by positive activity in Nigerian Breweries Plc, Dangote Cement Plc and Forte Oil Plc.

This came as the NSE launched Lagos Chapter of Nigerians in the Square Mile (NISM). NISM, established in 2008, is a membership organisation and think tank made up of outstanding individuals in the financial and professional services sectors in the City of London and has become a quietly and increasingly influential organisation advancing the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians in the world’s leading financial centre.

At the close of the day’s trading session, the market capitalisation of all listed equities rose to N8.697 trillion from N8.774 trillion on Tuesday, representing 0.4 per cent increase.

Similarly, the All Share Index, ASI, rose by 0.4 per cent from 25,460.45 points to 25,130.26 points. Performance across sectors was mixed as three indices recorded price gains while two declined.

Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique

Na wa o...... This news is just filled with misleading details.

First, the NSE lost approx 27Billion yesterday.
Next, the last time the ASI was as high as 25,460.45 was on Feb 8, 2017 and yesterday was Feb 16, 2017.

How can the ASI even rise by 0.4% from 25,460.45(the higher value) to 25, 130.26( the significantly lower value)?

Please OP and mods, take note and always verify reports.

my uncle want to get a owse at ilogbo buth its marked with a red colour..nd its not on d main road.o..shld he still go ahead...

Could be for any of many reasons

Among other reasons you've been given above, if the location is in Lagos, I also know of houses that are marked because they are deemed not safe due to its decaying state without renovation. A simple renovation would do else the house would be sealed by the state government.

There will soon be cars. Abakaliki today is the rice hub of Southeast and South-south. With Buhari's favorable rice policy and resultant rice revolution I see Abakaliki growing further. BTW aside the flyovers there are so many other completed and ongoing useful projects scattered across Ebonyi State.

Mention few of the projects and their location.

Do you know how many local governments that are not motorable? Or the constant cholera deaths that occur due to the lack of potable water in many villages? Or health centres that are decayed?

As much i recognize the fact that the work is solid, I still wonder how one totally abandons obvious problems and decide to build a landmark he'd want to be remembered for. This is ill-governance if i must say. To think that there aren't even cars not to talk of traffic in the state capital just makes me feel sick.(Heck, the cars parked at shoprite- Ikeja on a busy day is far greater than the total number of cars in Abakaliki).

omolorlarh:

thank you but she too have been brainwashed

I don't believe in this brainwash thing, I just think they are desperate to get a form of income no matter how small and would dream without thinking.

A friend of mine was into it vigorously and I kept telling him to submit his CV's in various firms but apparently he already has been doing that and was now frustrated because he wasn't getting called.

Instead of looking for the root cause to a problem or getting advice from professionals as regards solution, they just give up and be happy with the paltry sums they can at least last hands on.

I just playfully edited his CV and submitted to one bank opening I saw, he did the exam, got the job and starting yapping about not knowing what he was doing all along.

Yes, some make it as they convert their desperation to determination to succeed but for most it's a summation of desperation and frustration and the latter always rules the day on the long run.

First of all the girl that made that guy travl all the way to Lagos is mean..she ought to have directed him to our branch there in Ilorin bcs we have branches in almost All the state
secondly the reason why they use false way of bringing people into the business is bcs most unlearned people have given lots false impression about GNLD so once people hears GN they won't wait to hear the remaining LD and as a distributor in the business we need people to succeed...Success in network marketing is determined by the number of people u bring to the business
It's not scam, not illegal bcs if it is then the government would have done something about them long ago cs they boldly build branches everywhere even close to police stations
Lastly b4 I joined the business I did lots of research about Networking marketing and networking marketing is a vry good business for long term financial freedom..I joined GNLD out of other network marketing company bcs they have solid marketing products and have been in existence for more dan 50 years without folding up and bcs my frnd joined and he is a director making above 100k in a month...I am a senior manager in the business though making little money like 30, 35k but nxt step is director and as a director minimum amount is 80k
forget those people wearing rags,i also wonder why someone will choose rag as atire...I have many of them and that almost discouraged me from joining but I took courage and joined after analysing the whole concept and making my research....So NL's, If u wish to join me email me so I put u thru
and ask me any question I will answer

I understand, you're glad you have a source of income but in order to make certain decisions you need to carefully analyse.

1. Where do you see the business leading you in 5 years?(be realistic) and leave all those director, CEO tapes they put on repeat in your head

2. Are you actually selling the said company's products or you're just happy because you're gaining by dubiously making people join and making them part with their money? What are you really marketing?

3. With a simple calculation, what is your take home per month? I.e less expenses because many of you are happy with 40k forgetting you journeyed round Lagos on a daily basis. Let's not forget the calls you make and the fact that you must eat?

Don't get me wrong, different strokes for different folks but ropping someone in with deceptive details while forcing him to part with his cash is a NO NO.

The Funny thing is that you don't know how much harm your 'motivational' talks does to people without focus.

One shouldn't forget to think because he's desperate.

Never become so desperate that you'd neglect what common sense should point out during a job search.

Every firm has an address. If it's a firm that outsourced, the recruitment firm also has an address. Not to mention a functional website.

Be smart, even when desperate.

Best of luck in your future endeavors OP.

HTC 5 my sis used and swore neva to near HTCs ever battery, heat, touchpad u go regret

Which phone is HTC 5?

Most phones heat up during usage. At least I can say for the Samsung and HTC I've used. As for ba3, the capacity is always written but we expect it to last like car battery even when we turn on data, share hot-spot, turn on GPS, browse and listen to music at the same time.

My view is that longetivity of phones depend mostly on usage.

Install only needed applications, charge with designated charger, DON'T charge and use at the same time, don't be used to dropping your phone anyhow because if you as a human being keep falling down, you'd have bruises and some falls could be fatal.

The problem I have with that infinix hot 4 pro is the fact that the ram is 2gig. I can't use a phone with less than 3gb ram.

I'd also like to buy a phone within the Op's budget but with 3gb ram.

Haba, is that even possible? Except it's a used phone though...... Nigerian used.

Good news to you electrical guys. I later found out the reason why the interview was cancelled. All the electrical guys earlier invited for the Lagos interview scaled through the test hurdle as against what obobocee posted earlier.
I already knew you guys will be invited again for your own interview because Dangote group is one of the few companies in Nigeria that can conduct recruitment transparently especially at entry level. At Dangote you don't need to know any person to get a place in the Academy as long as you scale through all the stages of the recruitment process. You don't also need to know any person in Dangote to get absorbed after the training, if any vacancy exists after the training.

What really transpired in Lagos was just a case of poor communication system. Thank God everything was well resolved.

BEST WISHES TO YOU GUYS!!!

Please, has the chemical engineering applicants that wrote in Lagos for GETS being invited yet?
