To write your name get there by 9am and for your walk-in also get there by 9am on the date you are asked to come. You can’t just walk-in in ikeja.
Will you pay immediately you write your name or is payment on the day of walk in?

Good evening Good People. I have got good news!

Decided in January to give Studying in UK a shot, so i jumped on this thread and learnt from 0 to 10.

Applied to 4 different universities for Msc Fintech in February; Got admission in 3
I chose University of Gloucestershire because of the placement attached to the course.
Got an unconditional offer from the same uni after fulfilling the required condition (English language requirement)

I paid a deposit of £3,300 in March.

Did TB test in May together with my family (Mum, Dad and Two children)

Started counting my POF from 4th June to 2 July 2021

Applied for all 4 on 6th/7th July 2021. (Priority)
Did biometrics on 8th July 2021 at TLS V I. ( I got a date for 8th for myself and did walk in for 3)

Got two mails from UKVI on 9th; (a) To scan my TB test to an email cos they couldnt see my test rest. (b) The generic not straight forward email.

All the while, i was tracking our application on the TLS site. Got a collection mail on 14th July 2021, went there today and all 4 passports had the 90 days vig. (Visas approved).

Thank you for the great insights shared on this thread. It was indeed helpful. I am open to questions. May those waiting be wowed too. Amen. Selah!
PS. no agent was used.
Priority visa for all members?

Did you do priority visa for all members of your family or just the main applicant?
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by Melahou(m): 9:16am On Jul 18, 2021
TosinKate:
The first one was the main applicant, I selected 4 days biometric date. Though there were other close date but due to the number of family member and I submitted the application one after the other, I knew it might not be possible to get close date for all of us. By the way, we used VI.. I will advise you to choose VI...

I selected same date for others too but different time. However, we all did at the same time.

Another option, if the fund is there, you can select any available date for each member and you go for Walk-in.
Thanks so much...will do just that. Will I be attended to same day for walk in or I should go a day before to fill in my details and come back next day...how does it work..

Preshyi:
Biometrics date are selling out fast and same date may not be available when you finish all applications, so your best bet for getting same day appointment is via walk in. Ps: if your agent is confused, why are you paying him then?
Okay thank you...I will explore that avenue.

Based on what has been said previously on this thread

Book on TLS for all of you, pick whatever date is available then go for walk in after

You'll pay 42k per person at the center
Okay thank you.

Yes.
Any idea how I can book biometric for the whole family?

Is it through "walk in" ?

Because my agent seems to be confused

Babababy:
As an alternative, you can explore the option of priority for the adults and standard for minors. I don’t see a way they would treat the priority for adults and leave the minors.
That's another angle...This makes sense

I suggest priority should be selected for only the main applicant.

However, I would advise that biometric should be done at the same time/day.
Is it possible to choose the same date for biometric for all members of the family?

I don't know if I have the mind to take that shot...cos so many things are involved if there is a delay for more than 3wks.
I just need to be certain
Thank you

Visas Received

Main Applicant: Priority
Dependant: 3 (Standard)

-Biometrics: 09.07.2021 (all)
-Decision and collection mails: 15.07.2021 (for all)
-Pick up: 16.07.2021 (for all)

Gratitude to everyone on this platform.

God bless you all.
Congratulations!!!
So does it mean it's adviceable to do priority visa for main applicant while dependants do standard visa, since decision will be made for all same day instead of priority visa for main applicant and dependants.

Cos am planning to do priority visa for main and dependant as well.
What's your take

Please guys I need help on the following:

My wife is the principal applicant and we are a family of 4. Our POF is in our joint accounts + another borrowed fund in her own name. Pls hope this will not be a problem when applying for visas?
Also the 28days POF period, does it include weekends also or just working days.
Thanks
It's not a problem and yes it includes weekends

When you print the pof, do not include the date you transferred the money into her account. Count the 28days after the transfer and you'll be fine
Then no need for sponsorship letter then .

Gurus in the house please I need your candid advice.
We are a family of 4 while my wife is the Applicant.
I have already transfered all the required funds from my account to my wife’s account while we await for the 28day POF to clock.

But my Agent is requesting that I prepare a Sponsorship Letter stating that I am sponsoring my wife simply because I moved the funds from my account to hers.

Please what is the implication for this?

Which of the Favours of my Lord can I deny? None whatsoever.

3 dependants
Submission - 11th June (Priority)
TB result delayed biometrics -22 June
Biometrics - 25th June *Ikeja
Collection email- 2nd July
Picked up - 2nd July

Visa approved.

Some personal observations wt the application.
The TLS contact app tracking app was not functional throughout.
The applications were better tracked via online. The online track status may be the most quickly updated for now. Online
"Application transferred to VAC" first observed around 11:30
"Application received by VAC" first observed around 14:42

Via email:
Application assessed and document ready for collection came in quick succession around 14:40.

Summary, it is better to track online than via email.

Thanks to everyone holding the forte by sacrificing valuable time to answer questions and guide others. Thanks.

Best wishes everyone.
Congratulations to you

Please for your dependent (minor) did you add a consent letter as part of the documents submitted?

The docs 'I added' to support the application of my dependants.
1. Letter of consent for each child to apply for the visa signed by both parents. Preferably, the letter should explain your relationship with the child, that you have sole or shared custody of the child, that you consent to the child applying for the visa, and it would be good to add that you (both parents) are satisfied with the accommodation arrangements made for the child.

2. Letter of invitation (I was resident in the UK at the time of their application). Stating that I am a student, the course I'm studying and the university. My relationship with the applicant and my wish to invite 'them'. The Accommodation arrangements I've made in preparation. That I have also attached evidence for their support to their application.

3. My evidence of permission to stay in the UK ---Copy of my BRP (I don't think you need that if the main applicant is also applying at the same time). Data page of my passport (I think you'd need that).

4. Evidence of relationship -- birth certificate for child, marriage certificate for spouse.

5. Evidence of necessary funds as stipulated.

Plus the TB clearance certificates etc

At the point of submitting the application, I was prompted to fill another 'family consent form' permitting the funds in my account to be considered for the visa application of my dependants.

Best wishes
Thank you so much...I really appreciate your explanation

You are welcome.

No please.
Kindly wait till your proof of funds matures (reaches at least 28 days) before paying for IHS or Visa.

Doing otherwise may lead to a visa refusal.
Thank you

Yes I think it's possible But don't make payment for ihs and visa fee, when your money is matured for 28 you can then log in again and continue, make payment. This is because the day your payment enters is the date they will use for the oanda currency converter of your pof. So be careful.
Okay thank you

Thank you...but can I start the registration process for main applicant and dependant now while await for my 28days to elapsed before I upload documents and pay for visa?

There are still dates available for this month in TLS Victoria Island Lagos, you may want to consider that option.

Kindly note that it comes with a fee of £55.
Please when is one supposed to pick a date...before visa application or after visa application?
