The shocking clip obtained by The Sun which has now been handed to investigators probing the crash, shows the moment the aircraft took off from the centre circle at the King Power stadium on Saturday night, before it spins out of control and came crashing down to earth at a terrifying speed.

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has snubbed a move to Real Madrid because he wants to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

This is according to Italian journalist, Govanni Guardala, who claimed that although Real Madrid are tempting the former Juventus boss, he wants a move to Man United.

Real Madrid confirmed on Monday that the club has agreed to terminate the contract of head coach, Julen Lopetegui, after just 14 games in charge of the club.

United boss Mourinho has been tipped to leave the club following their poor start to the new Premier League season, and Madrid are touted as a possible destination.

Conte, so far, has emerged as the overwhelming favourite to take over the reins at Real Madrid.
But Guardala claimed that the Italian has instead cooled his interest at taking over because he likes the prospect of managing United.

“There are many rumours about his future,” Guardala told Sky Italia.

“Real Madrid is tempting him but Manchester United is a team that Antonio Conte really like.
“There are players like Paul Pogba, whom he coached at Juventus, or Alexis Sanchez, Herrera and Lukaku, three players he’s always wanted to sign.

“At the moment nothing is decided with Real Madrid.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) announcement that it is going to court to challenge his West African School Certificate (WASC).
Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity said it was a waste of time because the record was available, as well as those of higher qualifications obtained by hard work and truly merited by Mr. President.

A statement he signed Monday night read: “This certificate story is an old one. As Femi Adesina stated clearly, it is a settled issue in the courts.
To approach the court to pursue a matter long settled by the temple of justice is an abuse of the judicial system. It is shameful, disgusting and disgraceful.

“It is clear to all at this time that the PDP, facing an imminent humiliating defeat wants to sow division and chaos by seeking the destruction of the institutional structures that support our young democracy.

“They are attacking the courts and the police, they are molesting INEC commissioners. They are theatrical in spreading falsehoods against persons including the President.

“By doing these, they assume that they can take away attention from the discussions on issues gaining momentum in the country; the issue of internal security which has been jeopardized by years of near-zero investment under 16 years of the PDP;

the provision of long-delayed infrastructure which the President is pioneering; corruption to which the PDP is incurably tied and the sustenance of the prevailing good days in the economy, a business-friendly government working day and night, creating more jobs and affordable life for the poor.

“This election isn’t about the settled issues of certification. No matter how honeyed their sweet words, don’t believe them.

“Their evil record can never be washed away. The PDP set a record of murdering opponents of government and corruption on a scale never seen anywhere before.

“They put the national security at stake by diverting huge budgetary allocations to service their greed. Don’t believe their honeyed promises."

Official spokesman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo SAN, has told the supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari what to do ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

The senior lawyer called on the supporters to focus on the performance and character of candidates jostling for the presidency.

President Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will be slugging it out with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and others in the presidential election.
In a tweet on Monday morning, Keyamo stated that Buhari has achieved a lot completing projects abandoned by the PDP administration.

He tweeted,
“Dear PMB supporters, we urge you to focus on the issues of performance and INTEGRITY of the candidates.

“FACTS as to international indictments are NOT INSULTS. After you show them all their abandoned projects PMB is completing, then discuss the issue of CHARACTER. That is AN ISSUE.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recorded 172 convictions from January to date, the acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, said in Gombe on Monday.
Magu, who said this in Gombe at an event to mobilise the people to take ownership of the fight against corruption, added that “as I speak, EFCC has recorded over 172 convictions since the beginning of the year and we expect the figure to improve significantly before the end of 2018.”

The chairman emphasised that every Nigerian should take ownership of the fight against corruption, adding that “this is the right time to act to stem the tide of corruption as the 2019 general elections
approach.

“As we move closer to the general elections where Nigerians will vote for the present government or a new leadership to take control of governance, it is time that we all must be vigilant.

“We all must be careful as citizens to ensure that only people with proven records of integrity are elected into offices.”

He, therefore, called on Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) religious organisations, traditional leaders to help in sensitising voters to vote right and not to compromise.
He said “voters should not fall into the temptation of selling their votes.”

According to him, voters must be educated to realise that their voter cards represent the ticket for their future and healthy living if they use it wisely.

The anti-graft commission chairman was in Gombe to mobilise the people to take ownership of the fight against corruption.
