PoliticsRe: Fayose Distributing Bags Of Rice To People In Ekiti. Photos by mencer(m): 9:10am On Dec 24, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
I have been witholding my position on Fayose's style of 'governance' all these whÍle. I think it's time to express it.

With due respect to Governor Ayo Fayose and his supporters, I think the Governor is abusing governance and is damaging the psyche of average Ekiti indigene on the responsibility of government by his actions.

His stomach infrastructure program has made government to be a "come and chop" affair. Instead of devoting such resources towards capacity building that will boost the human development of Ekiti people, and also wealth creation programs that will empower Ekiti people to be able to increase their financial capacity and build Ekiti economy, the governor rather spend it on non productive stomach infrastructure.

This pattern of sharing rice, cutting animal skin(kpomo), buying seasoning etc doesn't help the state go grow. Has he asked himself, "after eating the rice, what next for the people?" Will he feed them three times in a day? Will he give them money to buy cloths? Will he give them Shelter? Will he 'dash' the people automobile? How can his people get these without real empowerment?

I pray the Governor doesn't carry this form of governance(misgovernance) into the new year! He may not be the worst Governor but he needs to change...
He's simply after the welfare of his people....

Christianity EtcRe: Women Wearing Trousers: Conversation With A Brother by mencer(m): 8:33am On Dec 04, 2013
In Nigeria you find people mixing and teaching their personal ideas /experience as gospel. That's why most of these ministries only have Nigerians in their churches abroad.
We must love one another and stop promoting our selfish views as gospel
Those who think they are the only one that's holy because of selfish views are hopeless.

Christianity EtcRe: Should Christians Celebrate Christmas? by mencer(m): 9:17pm On Nov 22, 2013
i think we should not argue about some of these things and pull each other down the bible says we should esteem other believers as better in Christ
the history of Christianity is less than 100 years in most part of Nigeria we are coming from various idolatrous cultures but the church has existed for centuries in many parts of the world ......
if the forerunners of the church did not include this periods as Holidays for example in Christmas in December and Easter how will it be if those holidays were not recognized in our nation ? even the people that argue against Xmas or Easter do special programs in this periods will they be able to have them ?
probably the only holiday we would have would be when the Muslims are having their idel fitri & etc....

i think there is no scripture that is against celebration of Gods gift of salvation .

Christianity EtcRe: LADIES IF YOU GO TO HELL AFTER READING THIS THEN YOU HAVE YOURSELF TO BLAME by mencer(m): 5:27pm On Nov 22, 2013
Some of these people from the occult world or underworld have their understanding darkened about many things.

We should live by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God and not by someone esoteric or mystical visions.

Life after death is a mystery humanely speaking but those who believe in Jesus have the promise of eternal life.

Our world lies in all manner of wickedness
But

It is of the Lords mercy that we are not consumed because of his unfailing compassion.

Christianity is not more than 100 years in many parts of Nigeria so we are coming from idolatrous roots into the light of Christ....... May God help us o.
Christianity EtcRe: A Deeper Life Woman End Up In Hell For Using A Rubber Thread by mencer(m): 8:56am On Nov 22, 2013
Christianity is about 200 years in some parts Nigeria and lesser than 50 in some areas . it's in Nigeria that you hear people making doctrines out of their vision...... The people that brought the gospel did not come with the type of heresies people are following today.

Making people live in a particular way and putting the fear of hell in them if they dont is questionable.

Was this the way the gospel was presented by the Apostle and prophets....... Were they preaching about hell fire visions or telling the women all these things we are hearing

I think this is another gospel.

Christianity EtcRe: Wearing Of Trousers, Earings And Make-up By Ladies Will Not Take Them To Hell. by mencer(m): 9:11am On Nov 20, 2013
Most of these things are of the fear of hell
Things we do because we don't want to go to hell not because we know God.

As Christians we should love God and His Spirit will teach us the right way to live.

But if you're under a pastor that ask you to dress in a particular way you're obliged to obey.
