wanaj0: N40m is tuition fee to school abroad as international student
NSE go still collect Tuition fee this time around. Everyone is now an expert! We go collect testimonies later.
Happy Investing. Oga Wanaj0, N40M in 2008 was far more that international school fees abroad. I pray none of us in the forum will pay NSE tuition fees this year. Worse case, let it be broker fees. LOL. But on a lighter note, you can't afford not to take risk in this life. It's more risky not to take risk at all. We must play with NSE, either we lose or we gain. |

RabbiDoracle: This isn't possible and that was why Sir Isaac Newton said : He can calculate the motions of the planets but he can't calculate the madness of men.
Managing emotions isn't it. People want to buy, people want to sell. Some are even in love with what they buy. Some get hysterical during bull or bear. Hence you can't when the dominoes will start falling and you see people rushing for the door.
An analogy is this: when you see people running from Ojuelegba towards Yaba, naturally you must run. And when running, you will be asking the others running with you what is chasing them. The usual reply is: I ran because I saw you run too.
And as many people run, those who see them will run faster triggering a mad rush. They will run and ask questions later.
This is how crashes start, then the dominoes keep falling on themselves.
I pray we will not be there when the crash starts. I will be taking my 4th bottle of Heineken with Nkwobi. 2008 is still so fresh n my mind. And that fear seems to be cutting short of my profit during this bull but I no fit complain. I have been locking in profits now and then, at the slightest provocation. Preservation of capital. I cannot come and carry last again. I still remember what I lost after 2008. I remember on that our old "home", one guy that took a facility of over N40M and dumped it on NSE. I have forgotten his name! |

MSCI started their activity for the year by going for a selection of some banking stocks that were already in their portfolio
Caution: Investing is a risky venture. This is just my opinion and I cannot be liable for any loss suffered as a result of following this recommendation All data used are assumed to be correct, but you may need to verify some of the figures independently. You can check data at https://www.globalxfunds.com/funds/nge/ for the movement in the MSCI Nigeria fund I don't entirely trust information they post on their website as regards stock position. They don't always add up. |

Sir Peter,
Please I need your advice.
Am trying to consider buying NB stock but I need to know if you have any unit of the stock. If you don't, do you plan on buying a unit of it this year?
Please advice. I don't want to lose money nor enter a stagnant price moving stock.
Thanks. |

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mendes911: 4:14pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
pluto09: My projection is that a stock like access should not be selling at a forward p/e of less than 10. You can extrapolate that with their q3 results to arrive at a figure for fair price.
I have put a cap on the number of units I can buy in access as I am not too comfortable with the price action in recent times. This is called "politically crowded answer"! In naira and kobo Sir, what's your fair price for access? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mendes911: 4:07pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
pluto09: That is why some level of diversification might be healthy for investors. A stock might have all the parameters that make a good buy but the price will not move as expected . If you have other stocks that are doing well you don't have to worry yourself about access .At its own time, the price will reflect the underlined fundamentals. My portfolio was widely diversified until I locked in profit. Am only being human by complaining about Access, though I understand why it has refused to move but am yet to understand the motive behind the sustained dumping. Well, someone dumped Diamond at N1.00 (I do wonder how this person will be feeling by now) and made it possible for us to embark. Let this Access guy do and leave. |

For the entity to have the mind to dump about 7M at market open says a lot about him. Access might retest 10.50 again by Friday. We will keep waiting. Such a silly stock. |
