In my opinion, the MM are playing a game to shake-off weak hands from their positions in the goldmine. Flour even going by consumption by the growing Nigerian population enjoys more patronage of its products and the flour market is still very much undersaturated despite the many players in it.

Never ever fall in love with any stock. That might cloud your judgement and make you not to notice glaring "red" flags. Just saying though....

If only FCMB has dropped to same level as Diamond, would have jumped in knowing that "they" will always adjust their Q1 result to be "tantalizing".

The week is still young though. Pa Buhari might blow one error before leaving the country!.

Sometimes absence of dividend or little of it might imply impending capital appreciation in terms of share price appreciation.

I truly agree with you but based on feelers, everyone seems to be expecting a bumper dividend. Mouth watering dividend to say.

Seplat released a good result but didn't declare any dividend. Everyone knows that they need the cash for expansion.

We will watch and see how market responds to it.

Well, if you looked closely at the posted screenshot you would notice that the trades started before 2.28 and that our friend's post captured trades that occurred at about 2.28.

I guess you also didn't know the period this happened. Market makers are the one's allowed to add/remove bids from 10.05am till market opens for trading by 10.15am They are also allowed to bid once the system is about to cut off at 2.29pm (sometimes even after 2.29pm though I think NSE has stopped that one).

During pre-bid, they were buying up all units to open FCMB at +5% and subsequently closes same stock neutral at end of trade. This went on for a long while at N2.00 - N2.10, before they drove the price to N3.6+ and then left it to return to base.

I don't speculate.

The last 5 minutes of trading can be very interesting. Someone mopped all available offers of livestock and left some for the veecovees to sell into

Another bought GTB all the way from 41 to 44.

Some were desperate to see Zenith close at #29 but someone else ensured it closed at the highest available offer upon close of trade.

Not to mention the drama with Fidelity ati be be lo

I would say far better result than 2016. They made profit. Q1 will give direction for this year. Until we see the nitty-gritty of the result shaaa.
