PoliticsRe: Abiola And Awolowo Who Is Greater?. by mensdept: 5:31am On Mar 05, 2012
Why should it be a matter of who is "Greater".

As for Abiola, even though he's not regarded as a "national" or even "regional" hero, he is the single most important reason why there is a democracy today- even though the democracy is mainly a come chop and give small democracy.
SportsRe: Onigbinde Quits Nff Committee by mensdept: 5:51am On Mar 03, 2012
Well said. I wish the entire NFF can excuse themselves out of their unqualified post and players like Yakfufu so we can progress.

Insult to the nation.
Nope. Ibori is an insult to the nation. Even Yar Adua insult to the nation. Add in the Super Eagles and entire NFF who thought that changing from NFA to NFF was going to improve their minds. They forgot that the N still stands for "Nigga.Area", and you see, 0-0 with Rwanda lol.

D coach bashing and pimping has begun again. "Sack Keshi he is useless", "we should have kept Sia1 he was d special one". When will we realize d decay in d entire sports structure in Nigeria goes further than these frivolitites. Until we address d root problems we continue to paper over d ever widened cracks.
You are totally correct.

I supported Sia1 and after seeing that he was going to end the same way descent local coaches (Christian Chukwu and Eguavoen) ended, I knew he was to go.

Now Keshi comes in anyhow and of course, looks like another makeshift timeframe that wont again accomplish what we need.

You notice that everything in this country, that is, all our institutions are resembling the government: Bad leadership, bad programs, and bad followers. Add in the fact that government loves to recycle old leaders that have not done anything, re-rigg themselves into power, and blame anyone and everyone except themselves for the stinch in the country. Yet no outcry.

Keshi blaming players, players blaming the pitch, NFF will of course blame fuel crisis or maybe Ojukwu's burial.  Instead of having a comprehensive friendly match schedule against quality opponents, modernizing and utilizing the local leagues for men and women, building good soccer facilities, bringing in 23 NEW Uncapped Players, they decide to reject calls for Sovereign Nat'l Conference, don't build modern Health Care Centers, reject the monopoly of foreign airlines carrying their own people to and fro their papa land,

woops, NFF and FG are one in the same lol.
SportsRe: Super Eagles Can Kill Someone!: Keshi Laments by mensdept: 5:19am On Mar 03, 2012
What is Keshi crying about? What he supposedly told the team at half-time was bs.

He chose the squad, including pulling an only "Nigerian" stunt by fielding the Yak goat. Yes, Yakubu again.

The president was right about dissolving the soccer industry, and you see, instead of us understanding that we righfully needed to be banned in 2010, we continue to pretend we are a "country" and cried out so our Oyibo friends wont be laughing at our Owambe EPL watching behinds.

Guess what? They are still laughing.

2 years later

And we are still not serious.
PoliticsRe: .. by mensdept: 5:12am On Mar 03, 2012
If this post is an attempt to encourage people to overthrow all the illegal and corrupt institutions in the country (similar to what happened in France and somewhat now in Egypt) then yes, thats great.

However, military men overthrowing the government as oppossed to the people themselves often ends in prolonged autocratic rule. If these Middle Belt officers has instead led secession movements, then I'm sure their legacy would have been more valuable than coup.
PoliticsRe: Who Is The Best Governor In Nigeria And Why? by mensdept: 5:08am On Mar 03, 2012
There is no "Best Governor" in Nigeria as we speak. We have some governors who are making impacts here and there, but all these praise singing before the band has started to play is one of the reasons our leaders have been reckless without check for years.

Shouldnt there be calls and actions to jail some of the thieves like Ibori, Daniel, and Orji Kalu?

That Shell spokesperson should be chased out of Nigeria! This a company that has never done anything good in the nation. From Wikileak's proof of it having eye in top government positions to frowning at the environmental pollution in Niger-Delta area. I wonder why the company is still in the country? It should be kicked out as soon as possible. It is a leach on the oil resources of Nigeria.

Chinese should take over construction of refineries in the Nigeria and let this SHELL of no good to the nation burn in hell.
ABeg sharrap.

Let Shell Oil stay for another 40 years. In fact, the U.S. should come and take over all the oil producing areas of the country.

Yes, I said it.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Votes N3.9 Billion For Governor’s Office, Civic Centre . by mensdept: 4:49am On Mar 03, 2012
You know this story has to be fake. But then again, this is Ekiti State we are talking about.

Do you guys know that as we speak, there is no modern health care center in this state, no modern highway system, university, Naija owned Mall, airport, stadium, movie studio, nothing.

And yet we have so many folks there eager to attend the next Owambe on Saturday, then Pastor service on Sunday.

Our kids arent going to have a future.

Haha, look at the great county called Nigeria. A Joke.in the eyes of the world. We cant even beat Rwanda lol.

The CIA is right, but dayum, even in soccer a total collapse.

We didnt qualify for nations cup, no big team wants to phuck with us in friendly except Liberia, and we have brought back Yakubu just like we bring back old politicans- from governor, then they go enter ministry, after they go head embassy, then come back and become Senator, go head Committee on FUFU affairs, then after termS, na they go contest for party chairman.

PoliticsRe: Senate: Call for SNC’s Recipe for Anarchy by mensdept: 7:01am On Feb 29, 2012
Of course this fool called Abaribe is from, thats right, ABia state. Abia state is one of the few states that ALL their national assembly men were "re-elected" for four more wasteful years.

You see the security threat of the country. Fools like him in the Senate.

Since May of 2011, what legislation has he signed or co-authored that has brought much relief to his very poor folks in Abia, or for the nation at large?

Does this fool know that if he gets into a serious accident (the people beat him welll), he will have to go abroad for medical checkup?

Does he know he cant fly from Los Angeles to his home state, and instead has to go thru Lagos or Abuja. If he goes thru Kano he may have a bomb deservingly blown in his face,

This current Senate is the WORST in 9ja history.

It is not necessary. when state start getting into this sort of business I fear. he should focus on mass transit programme, and create enabiling environment for private firms to run such things
Its very necessary. You know for sometime its been state policy to not allow for any international airport in the Midwest/Middle Belt/East. WHy?

In the Western World, the most important MASS TRANSIT are airports and Sea ports. They bring in the big bucks, and almost automatically change the landscape of a region or state.

9ja knows this, but of course, you cant keep people enslaved for ever, no matter if you are Rome, the British, the Soviets, etc.

Look at Enugu airport ,the FG is just B.S'ing, as another 10 years will go by and nada.
PoliticsRe: Terrorism Is Biggest Threat To Nigeria After Civil War – Omeri by mensdept: 6:44am On Feb 29, 2012
Fools

The biggest threat to Nigeria is Corruption. You rig in unqualified people to pretend to be governors (Gbenga Daniel, Ibori, and now Theo Orji) senators- who can only make useless comments from time to time without having made any real legislation (David Mark, Ngige), and then decide to re-rig them in again.

You have previous leaders known to have embezzled, and they are walking around free from hostility.

You have leaders and their first ladies refusing to develop medical centers and instead die abroad after spending millios from the Naija Delta oil loot.

You have soccer officials who are willing to slice and dice millions with rejected European managers, who refuse to schedule and plan serious games and matches, and yet, Sani Lulu and co are still enjoying their loot.

You have incompetent policemen, army men, who cant defeat any other country or deal with Boko Haram, yet they are there cllecting n20 at head bridge Onicha.

You have a film industry that cant produce any modern movie with modern production, instead are corrupting the culture the more with monopolizing the industry and using foul language as dialogue without any meaningful purpose.

You have a govenment that cherishes the fact their people fly from and to their papaland on British Air, Air France, and Dubai Emirates, so they can make small gain for their aristo chicks.

Yes, even the proliferation of pastors who are in for money and power are not spared from the CORRUPTION that will and soon, collapse this country,
PoliticsRe: Imo State Government To Start Airline Soon by mensdept: 6:34am On Feb 29, 2012
Hope this info is true. Can fly from Bini/Lagos to Owerri lol.

Why cant the AGPA governors come together and modernize their states ( Imo Airport and drill a Seaport at Onicha) without looking for PDP crooks to promise this and that from Abuja. They have the funds now, unlike the days of Ohakim and Ngige/Mbadinuju.

Next time the good people of Abia State will grab and beat the hell out of this fraud called Thief Orji and ALL the re-rigged representatiives in one of the poorest states in 9ja.

The audacity for Orji to even open his mouth and pretend to be a statesman/governor is an insult to every Black AFrican of today.

His days are numbered

Yes. It will get worse. Seems that Ojukwu afterall was right. A country that refuses to hear word, that refuses to answer their father's name in preference of the White mans name, a country that loves the EPL more than themselves, a country who's people fly home on white mans airlines and seem content, is a country that will surely collapse.

PoliticsRe: Ribadu’s Appointment Is An Insult – Tinubu by mensdept: 4:33pm On Feb 17, 2012
Nothing wrong with Ribadu talking the position except that when we look at our government, its often a recycling of the same old same old.

Nevertheless, Tinubu has no case here. Talking to Ribadu alone is like talking to ACN, and I didnt know that people can be the "property" of a political mango party.
PoliticsRe: Do You Know The Meaning Of Nigeria? by mensdept: 4:25pm On Feb 17, 2012
Beaf:
It is a sign of our mental and moral paralysis that we have been unable to change to a Nigerian name in all the years of our existence.
Many smaller countries with self pride have done it, even here in W.Africa there are examples like Bukina Faso and Ghana.

I suggest that we name the country after the smallest ethnic group we have.
The best post of the week by me.

Whats in a name you ask= Everything.

You wonder why our people go a long way in naming their children names like Nifemi, Nkiru, Arigo, Omonefe, etc., with ceremonies, feast, and galantry, yet we have joined our grandfathers to answer Nigeria without even thinking about it. Not EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT.

However, the whole world sees the name Nigeria and knows EXACTLY what it means= NI.GGA AREA. And low and behold, see how the country has been and continues to be.

Even neighboring Rep. of Benin (wow that sounds familiar Nigga/Dark-Areans) took a proper name, but us- no. We cant wait for the next Chelsea match or Pastor night vigil.

PoliticsRe: South East Gets Lowest Allocations Compared With to the North, Why? by mensdept: 4:12pm On Feb 17, 2012
ranlaen:
The allocation depends on 2 factors population and oil producing status (well when the original formula was made it was exporting capacity but since nowadays all industries but oil industry is dead we can call it it oil producing )
If you factor this 2 things in you see the formula is about right.
I swear if it was igbos who had the oil we will not hear word on this forum!
Allocation is fair to all, apart from the people who actually own the oil and i don't see them screaming here.
Imo - N6,138,603,846.12 ($38.19m) pop 4m
kaduna - 43m$ pop 6m
So kaduna gets 13% more then imo but has a population 50% more so who is getting more per head?Do your maths before you start the usual screaming as if igbos suffer most in Nigeria.
Who says Kaduna has more people than Imo state? Or even any state south of Abuja?
PoliticsRe: New Gocs Emerge As Army Redeploys 29 Generals by mensdept: 4:06pm On Feb 17, 2012
Why not a major reshuffling of the country itself? Why are we operating with a national police force? WHy do we have elections once every four years for all the positions? Why is everything concentrated at the center?
