ScienceWatch: You do make very good points here on desire and effort.
The evidence proves, that those that make the effort to get to the Holy Prophet TB Joshua are all healed.
The evidence proves that Nigeria's power supply problems is caused by corruption. Who can change a corrupt heart ? You! When you start thinking and acting right. What Did you expect to hear? God? That would be ironic in a highly religious and highly corrupt nation like Nigeria. |

You said you were among the best in your secondary school, But didn't say if it was in sciences, social sciences or art related subjects. If I should assume it was sciences, you have you no reason not to pick up in university as it would be a continuation of sorts with familiar terms. Let me tell you a secret, I used to tell myself, "if I was among the top 10 in class in secondary school, making a 2.2 in university is a walk in the park." Apply the same principle that put you among the best in secondary school, and you won't be far off the mark. I know new found freedom with girls can be a serious distraction to over come Besides, I will assume your village people are not on your case. |

ademasta: No! But I think what the Op meant is the fact that it is generally acceptable all over the world. And I think that's what the Bible meant by saying "all the nations shall use one currency". Are you sure? I only know of 666, without which one can't buy or sell, that was fulfilled the day bank account number, credit/debit card number was introduced. Besides, will it be a disadvantage for the world to use one currency? I asked, whose advantage was it when the language of world was scrambled? Whose advantage will it be if the world uses one currency? |

ScienceWatch: How can you honestly say, "The simple truth is, Christ can not do for us what we do not want to do for ourselves."
Your opinion is ridicules in the light of a mountain of scientifically verifiable evidence that Jesus Christ can do for us what we cant and what medical science cant.
Watch Emmanuel TV or youtube.com for one week and let us know if you still maintain your view. Hear you. Those that got "healed" on Emmanuel TV, did they not desire and make the effort to get to TB Joshua? Such thinking is what is drawing us backwards. Now Nigeria is struggling with power supply, is it that God has not given man the knowledge to harness electricity? Do you now expect Jesus to come and build power plants and transmission lines for us? |

redcliff: We know and understand what you are trying to say. What I mean is that events were used to predict the Will of God during a particular time and Era. Its not necessarily that one world currency may be a bad thing but the bible makes us believe that when such things are happening, we should be aware that the time and hour is at hand... I don't mean to derail this thread but @bolded says a lot about the will of God. Why did God create confusion in languages, was it to enhance peace and unity amongst men? This is the age of Pisces and is ending 2150 (using christian calendar), or had ended 2012 (using Mayan calendar) whichever one a lot of things are changing. Just as Jesus ushered in the age of Pisces (fishes) from Moses' age of Aries (Ram) that came out from the age of Taurus (Bull) so expect a shift in consciousness and way of life in the new age of Aquarius. |

Let's wait and see sha... No be for my mouth dem go hear am first o . It is not God/Satan that created money, but men in trying to transact busineses. When Adam left Eden which currency did God gave him? Man has moved from trade by barter to gold/silver coins to paper money, and now to virtual money aka bitcoin. In the next 100 years paper money may go the way of silver coins, and used only as a reference as gold is used today. |

Dis expensive schools dis Churches build, is it just for business? Muslims and other people also benefit from it. To me d church shld be commended for helping d government bridge vision of education for all. Are you listening to yourself ? That you did a good thing does not mean you should not be accountable. Churches are NGOs (not for profit), Schools are not NGOs (for profit). Is it Churches that are asked to pay taxes or the profit making schools? The point is Churches that own businesses should pay tax on the businesses. Nobody is saying Churches should pay tax from offering/tithe monies. Since tithes/offerings are donations, accountability is all that is asked. |

So Jesus set us free from sin, but God still needs us to believe in order to be set free? That means Jesus didn't set us free right? Bros just "believe" that Jesus died to save you from sin and death and stop all these logical reasoning/questioning that is not in line with the word of God. Christianity Etc › Re: I Witnessed The Power, Hypnotism And Influence Of Religion by menxer: 6:56am On Jan 15, 2017 |
Boss13: Now that's hypnotism. A situation you get suggestions and you don't apply your cognitive ability to reason and question suggestions, but proceed to partake and implement the suggestion on the premise of appeasing the person who made the suggestion.
Someone can't just wake me up and suggest to me to go bring $200 without me applying some reasons. What I saw shocked me. I interviewed a young man, probably in his early twenties - why are you doing this and what he said threw me off balance, he said "I want to tap into the anointing of the man of god". Why I interviewed him was because I noticed he was worried, he appeared not to have enough money, he was struggling to make online transfer and possibly asking friends to complete the naira value for the dollar exchange.
Another reason I was shocked was because I saw vibrant, beautiful young men and women and from their appearance, you could tell that these people have seen the four walls of either a university or possibly have received some form of education and oh yes I was disappointed. Religion is truly powerful. In one day, a church made over N20million and this is not just offering and tithe. Add the offering, the church made over N22million in just one day, even oil companies, in this recession, make N22million in one day and guess what - everything is profit because no cost was incurred.
Damn, I might consider going to Bible school - I can talk too, I can apply the Bible, I can fry my hair and if my complexion is not light enough, I can ask bobrisky to assist me with the cream he is using (all na packaging). I can speak very well and pick up a good accent whether Australia or New Zealand accent - those are hard to notice. I spray a good expensive perfume and when I tell you I have the anointing, the sweet fragrance will becloud your judgement - my God, can people wake up The way you talk if you had asked for $200 I would have done the transfer already. |

Boss13: Laughs. My belief in the creator is personal and I duly respect the beliefs of other people. However, yesterday was an eye opener for me. I am still amazed. I was in shocking disbelief seeing the various actions of these young, energetic and supposedly productive and learned Nigerians. Another reason I wondered - how did that prophet convinced healthy young Nigerians even the unemployed to part away with $200 in a recession without any economic activities being given in return. It's only those that doesn't believe (atheist) that ask such Questions, And you are asking questions. Church is not a place you go to question what's done or how it's done. You just believe and do what you are told and keep your opinion in your pocket. |
