Let me explain.

Inward holiness - Produced by the Holy Spirit and all glory goes to God , no boasts in the flesh

Outward holiness - Produced by the flesh, i.e attempts to keep the law by human power and wisdom. In this case all glory goes to the person , his pastor and church or sect.


So which one is it ?

My dear there's nothing like inward and outward holiness. Holiness is a thing of the heart, the spirit of man, so when one is holy within , it automatically controls his outward personality. The spiritual control the physical. Anyone according to you professing outward holiness without having the inner holiness is what Jesus Christ regarded as the HYPOCRITES!

This question is an aftermath of an inclusive analytical debate between my humble self and a "war-thirsty" pal.

He was like "As the Boko Haram sect(taking all as Hausas) are busy wasting millions of lives of people (mainly Igbos) in the North, we (Igbos) here in the East should pick up our weapons of death and slay all Hausas that are in our surrounding."

He bluntly said that if the Igbos cant take up that challenge then its either "the Igbos are afraid of the Hausas or of Boko Haram"

From a point of view i dimmed fit in conjunction with a point he had raised earlier (that the Hausas dont value their lives) i voiced such and such that "laying basis according to him that the Hausas do not value their lives, the Igbos who very much value their lives would and should not embark on such a disastrous vintage, instead they should keep calm their oars and dare the Hausas or rather the Boko Haram sect shift their incessant bombing and rampages to the EAST!


"Inconclusive" was the only word suitable for that short exchange.

"He is not tall, and does not have a larger-than-life character. He does not dominate, nor has he accrued power to himself. He walks slowly, is relaxed, and has a gentle sense of humour with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eyes. He dresses simply, eats simply... and... could have assumed titles to himself. As the Deeper Christian Life Ministry developed - most people enjoy the trappings and regalia of status which followers gladly give. But he calls his followers brothers and sisters, and treats them as colleagues.

W.F. Kumuyi was born in 1941 into an Anglican home. It was a very strict Christian home, he told Isaacson, "We would get up in the morning, read the Bible, sing hymns, and go to church regularly. When I went to secondary school I lost interest in the church because our principal taught us atheism. But after a while I thought again and started going to various churches in town. Eventually, in 1963, a group of singers and preachers from a Gospel church got permission to come to the school. I understood the Gospel message, and was born again on April 5th, 1964. I read John Wesley, Charles Finney, Spurgeon, and lots of other books. I got involved with the Scripture Union, and I grew."

From Professor to Preacher!

"He gained a first-class degree in Mathematics at the University of Ibadan; then went back to Mayflower School to teach. After five years he went to the University of Lagos to do a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and became a lecturer there in 1973; and that was when he started a small Deeper Life Bible Study group.

In speaking to a group of Pastors under his leadership as General Superintendent, W. F. Kumuyi said: "Our emphasis should be on the practical side of going out. If the Lord comes, let him meet us working for him. Now every time I preach I try to mention evangelism. I have told all the Lagos District Coordinators and Zonal Leaders to spend half their time on evangelism and only half their time on their members. There will always be problems in the church: don't let them take up all your time".

Concluding his book, Isaacson writes, "And, of course, Deeper Life are self-governing. Kumuyi is the founder & General Superintendent, and he carries a tremendous weight in pastoring the Gbagada (Lagos) church alone, quite apart from the (now thousands) of other congregations across Nigeria and the rest of the world. He is a remarkable leader, one of God's people for this generation. Kumuyi has received a great deal from God, but he is adept at passing along what he receives. My feeling is that what God has given his people through Kumuyi will be kept and developed long after Kumuyi is gone. This has been God's work, and to Him be the glory."

Nigeria’s U-17 coach, Manu Garba, has predicted his team will beat Iraq on Friday to qualify for the knockout stage of the cadet World Cup in United Arab Emirates.
The Golden Eaglets will do battle with bottom team Iraq in Friday’s last Group F match at the Al Rashid Stadium in Dubai, M TNFootball.com reports.

The Iraqis will be seeking their first win in the history of the competition, but Manu said it will not be against his team.
“We have no other way than to win our game against Iraq and Insha Allah (by the grace of Allah), we are going to win,” Manu said.

“We respect Iraq but we are going to do everything in our capacity to win the match because our objective is to do very well at this championship.”

Manu regreted the absence of Africa U-17 championship top scorer Success Isaac, but said there are capable players to replace him.
“Success had a scan today and it is unfortunate that he would not be available against Iraq,” said Manu. “But we have other players who can do the job and a good example is Taiwo Awoniyi, who scored the equalizer against Sweden.”

Speaking later to Iraq TV, Manu said he has great respect for the Iraqis but maintained that the Golden Eaglets will have the upper hand on Friday.

“I respect the Iraq’s team because they play good, possession football, but we would show them on Friday that we are slightly above them,” he noted.

voltron: Simple question my ever-forward thinking man.. what do the Jews think about Hell.. these guys where there before the inglorious new testament. all Greek and Roman adaptations.. according to your interpretation, Hell is a place for sinners and demons where they will receive eternal punishment, due to the recent uptake in sinners, God has engaged a PROMO campaign to kick-start hell, Christians especially go there and there are several confirmations of this Hell with pastors and famous celebrities burning in anguish.. the Old Testament talks of Gehena and Sheol and a possible 3 heavens.. or did you not get the memo. these wrong interpretations of Hell contain both Righteous and Sinners.. how can that be Hell that you over-enthusiastically superstitious folks recount every waking day of your lives be different from the old testament hell
