Christianity Etc"Dressing Like Deeper Life Is Not A Criteria For Heaven" - Pastor W.F. Kumuyi by Mescopaul(op): 8:23pm On Sep 10, 2013

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi General Superintendent, Deeper Life Bible Church, condemns the message or portray of those people that claimed that they went to heaven and God told them people should start dressing like Deeper Life. He openly said that those testimonies are not to be believed by the church, and that we dont need anyone from the dead to come and preach to us that are living.

He emphasized the fact one need to be born again inorder to make heaven and not dressing like Deeper Life outwardly and the sin, bitterness, anger, envy, and hatred, is still in the heart. "We have the word of God, the bible, so we dont anyone from the dead to come and tell us what to do, we in the church we wont believe those, let them go with their stories, we believe the bible is sufficient for us".

Foreign AffairsUnited States Of America Vs Syria - World War III by Mescopaul(op): 11:51am On Sep 02, 2013
From the ungoing conflict between USA and Syria in which the final decision of USA over Syria might lead to another World War, it is envisaged that the conflicts if not carefully looked into might the cause the world so much loss as did the wars in the past.

Families would be destroyed, cities would be ruined etc.

> What is UN's take on this, did they fold their arms watching the impending catastrophe?

A surelty is the fact that if this war breaks out, surrounding countries are likely to team up with Syria as GB has given total support to USA.

UN should do something. They should realise the reason why it was formed at first.

USA and infact Obama should make the right decision to avoid the oncoming envisaged World War III

I have a Dream!

1. That the world will come to the saviour and cry aloud for MERCY, but it will be too late.
3. That one day 'we', i mean the special 'we', shall hear the sound of the trumpet, and will go up in the air to meet our LORD.
4. That the earth shall suffer TRIBULATION like none ever in human history.
5. I have a dream, that one day the moon shall be as red as blood and the stars shall fall from the sky and consume the part of the earth.
6. That one day i shall walk in the streets of gold, with crown of gold, glittering and shining ontop of my head.

Foreign AffairsEgypt Brotherhood Protests Draw Tens Of Thousands by Mescopaul(op): 6:20pm On Aug 30, 2013
CAIRO (AP) — Tens of thousands of protesters and Muslim Brotherhood supporters rallied Friday throughout Egypt against amilitary coup and a bloody security crackdown, though tanks and armored police vehicles barred them from converging in major squares.
[br /]
The protests appeared smaller than the mass demonstrations seen in previous weeks, despite amassive push by the Brotherhood for "decisive"rallies across the country after Friday prayers.
[br /]The largest protest in the capital, Cairo, had more than 10,000 protesters. Thousands gathered in other cities, with other smaller protests drawing hundreds, including many women and children.
[br /]Protesters marched through the streets chanting slogans against the country's army chief, Gen. Abdel-Fatah el-Sissi, who led the popularly backed July 3 coup that toppled President Mohammed Morsi, a longtime leader of the Brotherhood.
"The people want the death of the assassin!" theprotesters yelled while waving the Egyptian flag and holding up yellow posters with the outline of a hand showing four fingers. [br /]Morsi supporters have used the symbol in online and street campaigns to remember thesit-in protest around the Rabaah al-Adawiya mosque, which in Arabic means fourth.
[br /]Security forces cleared outthat sit-in and another onetwo weeks ago in violent raids that sparked severaldays of violence. More than 1,000 people, most ofthem people opposed to Morsi's ouster, have been killed since. The Interior Ministry says more than 100 policemen and soldiershave also died in the violence.
[br /]Many of the protesters Friday were not Brotherhood members. Some said they were only seeking justice for relatives killed by securityforces this month or protesting the way in whichMorsi, Egypt's first freely elected president, was removed from power. Manywaved the Egyptian flag and carried pictures of Morsi.[br /]
"When it started, it was only about the return of Morsi to power," protesterAhmed Osama said.[br /] "Now ithas gone past that. Blood has been shed."
While largely peaceful, the protests drew some sporadic violence, as residents angry with the Brotherhood confronted the group's supporters.[br /]
In the Mediterranean city of Port Said, one person was killed in clashes, security officials said. Another 22 residents werewounded by birdshot allegedly fired by the protesters, the officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to journalists.[br /]
Similar clashes took place in other parts of the country, including in the Nile Delta city of Zagazig, where the Brotherhood said a protester was shot dead. The group did not elaborate. Health officials said 33 people had wounded by birdshot in thefighting.[br /]
Security forces also fired tear gas at protesters in Cairo, the Nile Delta city of Tanta and south of Cairo in Assiut. Meanwhile, Egypt's state news agencysaid unidentified gunmen in two cars opened fire on a police station in the upscale Cairo neighborhood of Heliopolis, killing an officer and a civilian.[br /] The drive-by attack early Friday wounded another officer, according to the MENA agency.
The Interior Ministry, in charge of police, said its forces had orders to use deadly force in defense of public and private property if protests turnedviolent. [br /]Two Fridays ago more than 10 police stations were attacked andgovernment buildings assaulted by protesters. Residents and police officers in civilian clothing also fought pro-Morsi protesters in fierce street clashes.
[br /]Residents of Cairo mostly stayed off the streets Friday in anticipation of theBrotherhood rallies. A military-imposed nighttime curfew in Cairo and 13 other provinces will start two hours earlier Friday.
[br /]Once Egypt's most powerful group, the Brotherhood appears weakened and unable to draw massive crowds for protests after the fierce security crackdown. Hundreds of the group's members have been detained, including top leaders, as well as members' relatives.
[br /]It also has forced the group to plan and operate underground, the way it has for much of its more than 80 year existence. Protester Ahmed Khaled, among those leading the largest Cairo protest from Nasr City to Heliopolis, said organizers weren't telling protesters where the march was heading for security reasons.
[br /]Khaled and others said they are receiving instructions by phone on where to direct their march. He declined to elaborate further, nor did he say who was leading the march.
"We stopped communicating the itineraryand destination of the marches so nobody can follow us or wait for us with snipers at the arrival point," he said.
Authorities took television channels sympathetic to the Brotherhood off-air after Morsi's ouster. Qatar-based Al-Jazeera's local affiliate in Egypt, which has aired comments from wanted Brotherhood leaders and extensively covered their protests, has faced raids on its offices.[br /] The network also has had employees acrossits channels arrested.

Foreign AffairsSyrian-americans Divided Over U.S. Involvement In Syria by Mescopaul(op): 6:01pm On Aug 30, 2013
NEW YORK — For many, the ongoing crisis in Syria is something that has beenexperienced only through the media — through terrible images of the people killed in last week’ssuspected chemical attacksand television footage of bombed out buildings throughout the country.
But for tens of thousands of Syrian immigrants in America, the deadly conflicthas hit closer to home, viaphone calls and messages from family and friends who are still in Syria and worried about their own safety as the civil war threatens to get worse.
Among them is Mohamed, who emigrated to the U.S. two years ago from just north of Damascus. On Thursday night, he was seated on a stoop along a busy stretch of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Brooklyn, home to several businesses owned by Syrian-Americans.
The block has become a congregating point for those with connections to Syria, where they come together and share what news they’ve heard from back home. And it’s also, inrecent days, where he andothers have debated the question of the moment: Should the Obama administration pursue a military intervention in Syria?
“You don’t understand how it feels,” Mohamed, who declined to give his last name out of fear that his family back in Syria could be retaliated against.“It’s all we can think about. We wake up worried. We go to sleep worried. We feel powerless. There’s nothing we can do but worry.”
But Mohamed still isn’t sure how he feels about the possibility of a Western-led military strike. He’s still not sure he believes that President Bashar Assad is responsible for last week’s mass killings. And he worries that any outside intervention would only empower rebel forces in the region — which he believes have come to Syria from other countries in pursuit of “jihad.”
But mostly, he says, he doesn’t want to see his homeland become another Iraq — referring to the 2003 U.S. invasion after which that country was never the same.
“So many people died,” Mohamed said of Iraq. But he acknowledges that people are dying in Syria — and many more are likely to die with or withoutU.S. intervention — and that leaves him conflicted.
And that seems to be the sentiment of other Syrian-Americans around the country, who appear to be largely split on what, if anything, the United Statesshould do about Syria.
Since last week’s suspected chemical attack, there have been protests across the country — including in Los Angeles, Miami and Atlanta — urging the Obama administration to intervene in the Syria. Many of those protests have been organized by the Syrian American Council, a Washington-based group that has beenhandling humanitarian relief in Syria.
But there have also been protests against the prospect of a military strike, including one held Thursday night in Allentown, Pa., a city home to one of the largest Syrian immigrant populations in the country.
There, participants waved signs that read “Hands OffSyria” and argued that Assad is not responsible for last week’s chemical attacks and that the U.S. should stay out of the conflict.
One of the protestors, Elias Batihk of Allentown, aSyrian-born U.S. citizen who lives in Allentown, defended his country’s leadership in an interview with The Morning Call. While he acknowledged that Assad had not been picked in a free and competitive election, much of the country still supports him.
"We never said it's a democracy, but we're happy with what we have there," Batihk said

Foreign AffairsRe: Kim Jong-un Of North-korea Executes Ex-girlfriend Publicly by Mescopaul(m): 5:22pm On Aug 30, 2013

His ex was one of them. They were publicly executed by firing squad on August 20th, while their fam
ilies were condemned to a labor camp.

The North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un ordered the public execution of his ex-girlfriend Hyon Song- wol, accused of 'pornography' with a group of artists from the National Orchestra of Unhasu, which his current wife Ri Sol -ju also once belonged to. The arrest took place on August 17, the execution took place in public three days later. According to the indictment the women filmed themselves having sex and then sold the videos in China. Some South Korean sources claim that there were many Christians among those sentenced to death who had a Bible at home, a "crime" that you can pay for with your life or imprisonment in a state gulag in North Korea.[/color]
Those shot to death include Mun Kyong -jin, director of the Unhasu orchestra, some singers and dancers of Wangjaesan Light Music Band and some army musicians. All family members of the women involved were sentenced to forced labor. According to the Juche ( the delusional state doctrine conceived by the " father of the nation " Kim Il -sung ) is not enough to punish those guilty of a crime, but it is necessary to eradicate the evil " for three generations . " Every year, on the basis of this principle, thousands of children are born in labor camps and live there until their death.

The "Young Marshal " Kim Jong-un , the third son and heir of the "dear leader" Kim Jong -il, met Hyon about ten years ago . After a brief "official" relationship, the engagement was broken by the father of the dictator and the singer was given in marriage to a military man, while the "third Kim " met his present wife . According to various sources, the two have continued to see each other even after their marriages. The public execution is thus seen as a victory of the "Companion" Ri, who gave two sons to the current dictator and wants to ensure their survival in one of the most cruel dynasties in today's world.

On 8 August, the dictator took part in a concert performed by the now decimated orchestra. The execution is viewed by some analysts as a sign of affirmation of his power: " Kim Jong-un is cruelly eliminating anyone who might be a threat to his rule, anyone who can defy authority. Public executions are silencing anyone who even thinks of undermining him .

Foreign AffairsDoes Obama Need Congressional Approval To Bomb Syria? by Mescopaul(op): 12:44am On Aug 30, 2013
Does Obama need congressional approval to bomb Syria?

If President Barack Obama chooses to unilaterally launch a military attack against Syria in retaliation for the government's alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians last week, he is certain to face criticism that he's overstepping his executive authority.

The president has alreadyrun up against resistance from some members of Congress, who argue that under the 1973 War Powers Resolution and the U.S. Constitution he must seek the body’s full approval before taking military action against the country.

The disagreement is part of a larger and thorny constitutional and legal argument over how far Congress can go to check the chief executive's war powers and what types of military actions constitute war.
Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich.,has said it would be “unquestionably unconstitutional” for Obama to bomb the countrywithout Congress’ approval, and he has authored legislation to withhold funds from the effort. Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia also has suggested the president might be on shaky legal ground if he doesn’t get a congressional OK. More than 100 members of Congress signed a letter to the president warning him to seek their approval before attacking another country.

Interestingly, Obama himself made a similar argument while on the campaign trail six years ago. He told the Boston Globe in 2007that no president can use military force absent an “actual or imminent threat to the nation” without first getting Congress' approval. (Vice President Joe Biden, for his part, vowed to impeach President George W. Bush in 2007 if he bombed Iran without first getting approval from Congress.)
White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Tuesday that the president still stands by his 2007 statement, but that Syria’s alleged use of chemical weapons does pose an actual and imminent threat to U.S. national security. Obama said last week that if chemical weapons are usedon a large scale, they could affect “core national interests,” such as America’s duty to protect its allies and bases in the Middle East.

The U.S. Constitution says it's up to Congress to declare war and to fund the military. The 1973 War Powers Resolution allows presidents to deploy troops when there's a"national emergency" caused by an attack on thecountry or its possessions, but then gives the executive only 60 days to get congressional approval or withdraw troops. Presidents in the past have become engaged in conflicts without first checking with Congress and have stretched the definition of "national emergency."
John Yoo, a University of California law professor best known for authoring controversial memos authorizing the use of torture on detainees from the war in Afghanistanduring his time in Bush's Justice Department, told reporters on Thursday he believes Obama’s critics are wrong.
“If President Obama wants to use force in Syria, constitutionally I think he can,” Yoo said. “Politically,it would be wise for him to get congressional support.”
Yoo believes that Congress’ power over warfare under the Constitution is through the purse and that those who believe Congress must preapprove any use of force by the executive misunderstand the Constitution.
The U.S. involvement in Kosovo, the Korean War and other conflicts all began without a congressional vote. The last official declaration of war by Congress was for World War II, as the powerto use force has gradually shifted away from Congress and toward the chief executive. The Constitution does not require the president evento have a good reason to attack another country, Yoo said.
But other scholars disagree with Yoo’s interpretation and think a unilateral strike on Syria without congressional authorization will constitutea legal gray area. HarvardLaw School professor Jack Goldsmith wrote on Wednesday that “the use of military force in Syria is a constitutional stretchthatwill push presidential war unilateralism beyond whereit has gone before.” Goldsmith argued that “no plausible self defense rationale exists” and that informal briefings to lawmakers will not be a substitute for congressional debate and authorization.
Just two years ago, the Obama administration launched an air war against Libya without getting Congress’ authorization and then handed off the operation to NATO. (The Libya operation was approved by the U.N. Security Council, which would be less likely to approve action against Syria.) The White House argued then that the airstrikes did not amount to war because U.S. troops were not put at risk. It’s likely these semantic arguments about what counts as “war” will emerge again if the United States does in fact strike Syria.
Meanwhile, there’s the issue of whether an attackon Syria would be legal under international law.
The Geneva Conventions outlawed the use of chemical weapons during warfare after World War I,and there is some precedent for invading a country to stop a humanitarian crisis.
