This is an avenue to educate the illiterates that assumed PMB letter doesn't imply transmission of power to Osinbajo rather he was named as coordinator of the presidency. Let see who will sign the budget since he his a coordinator. |
In today's NTA 9pm news, the VP was refers to as Acting President! Ignorance is not an excuse in the court of law. Before u know it, Osinbajo will sign budget to law.
|
It is not about the grammar, PMB has quoted a law 'In compliance with section 145 {1) of the 1999 constitution as amended". What does the law stipulated? is it about the grammar? What is the intention of section 145 subsection 1 ? Dos 1999 constitution create room for a vacuum. It is either the National Assembly voted to accept the letter as transmission of power to the VP or they move for impeachment of PMB as there refusal mean that there is a vacuum as against the 1999 constitution. Did 1999 recommend transfer of power to any other person apart from the VP? Does action president has a duration? Its either PMB is the President or he hands over to the VP. If he didn't transmit power, then he can be impeached and the VP automatically becomes the president. If the president is incapacitated, i can resign. I don't know why Nigerian cannot simply distinguished between constitutional requirements and usage of English words. |
BUHARI, A SICK PRESIDENT WORKING FROM HOME: SO? In one of my posts yesterday, I promised to come back following the 'invasion' of the blogosphere by lots of Nigeria youth who lack history about governance on the decision of the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari to work from home as a corollary of his failing health. Many have taken to the social media to upbraid, keelhaul and lambaste Mr. President for such decision. A critical look at their action was not borne out of altruism for their country-Nigeria, rather, out of their needless hatred and animosity for the personage of Muhammadu Buhari which predated 2015 elections. The more reason they have hitherto dressed down Buhari's administration from the word 'go'! Albeit colonized by the British government, Nigeria's fledgling democracy is modeled around America's presidential system of government. Suffices therefore to make a comparison and/or reference to the 'God's Own Country' in driving home this analysis. Some pertinent questions arise. 'Is it criminal for a public servant to fall sick?' The simple answer is 'no'. 'Is any public servant under any obligation to declare the nature of his or her sickness?' There's no proviso anywhere except on moral ground. Then, why the hoopla or are Nigerian people just trying to be mischievous in their idiosyncratic manner? HISTORY OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SICK PRESIDENTS The current experience of Nigeria having a president that is sick is not alien. It is not out of place particularly when one considers the unequivocal fact that the man in question is a septuagenarian. Even in developed world, presidents who fell within the middle age bracket fell sick. Many United States presidents have, over time been reported sick while in office. 1. WOODROW WILSON (1913-1921) President Woodrow Wilson who superintended over the American affairs from 1913-1921 suffered a severe stroke which left him incapacitated throughout his presidency. Yet Woodrow remained in office till the expiration of his term in 1921. 2. FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (1933-1945) Former US president Franklin D. Roosevelt was long before his ascendancy diagnosed with polio in 1921 while he was aged 39. President Franklin D Roosevelt still served for twelve good years from 1933 through 1945 albeit he could neither walk nor stand without support. He was using a wheelchair in private, and he refused till death to disclose the full extent of his health condition. Did Buhari not usually disclose his condition? 3. DWIGHT EISENHOWER (1953-1961) President Dwight Eisenhower served the American state from 1953 to 1961. Dwight suffered heart attack in 1955 which landed him in the hospital for several weeks. Months after, Dwight underwent another surgery to treat Crohn’s disease and in late 1957, he suffered another stroke that made him temporarily seized his voice. But do you know the shocking surprise? Dwight, despite his failing health status still went ahead to win a second term. 4. JOHN F. KENNEDY (1961-1963) Renown America President, John F. Kennedy who took charge of the America leadership from 1961 to 1963 had a very short stay spanning two and a half years in office before he was murdered. Within these two years, JFK suffered chronic bone disease and was hospitalized for upward nine times in those short stay. Sadly, John F. Kennedy's health status was never made known to the American public. 5. GEORGE BUSH (1989-1993) The war hungry American president George Bush who honchoed from 1989 through 1993 during a visit to Japan in 1992 vomited and subsequently fainted in front of cameras. Did heaven fall? It's just lugubrious that Nigeria is replete with cynically misanthropic people. If 'youngsters' who had surfaced as Presidents of the universally acclaimed most powerful nation in the world could fall sick while in office, why the ballyhoo and alarums about President Muhammadu Buhari's ill-health? Is Buhari specially made? What's wrong if Buhari chooses to work from his Presidential home? Why are we this mischievous in this country? Many of you had wished Buhari would just die so you can return the country to status quo. But God has always shamed you with your plans. If Buhari is incapacitated, does he not have an equally competent vice? AND WHAT IF BUHARI DIES IN OFFICE? And so? Will Buhari's death be the first while in office? Did Yar'Adua not die in office? Was Tafawa Balewa not killed while in office? Was Murtala Muhammed not murdered? In the history of the United States of America, eight ( of her presidents had died while in office. Four (4) out of these died of natural causes- Henry Harrison (1841); Zachary Taylor (1850); Warren Harding (1923) and Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1945) while four (4) others were assassinated- Abraham Lincoln (1865); James A. Garfield (1881); William McKinley (1901) and John F. Kennedy (1963).Can these array of youth please get busy for once? Ignorance is a killer-disease! And to those of you who just come online to join the bandwagon to spew gobbledygook without adequate ken, do you not think it is better you learn? |
Racade:ABU vs Dino case have indicated that all federal universities in Nigeria are corrupt. (with credit in IRK and four P8 in any other subjects, you will be admitted by ABU, Unimaid, Unijos, Usman Dan Fadio Uni, Futminna etc) |
I think ABU and IMSU. Reasons: ABU admitted student with pass in English, Maths, Chemistry, Geography and Biology (Evidenced by Dino O Level result) IMSU sold B.Sc Certificate to one of my friend for 200k.( I saw the certificate and the guy is still working with NTA) |
So Universities for 9ja dey accept pass in English, Math, Geography for admission! |

Stupid talk. Its only God that can solve Nigeria problem. For good 16 years in power, what problem have they solved. Fela have been shouting food, light, house for decade, yet ' e no dey' Instead, more problems are joining the old ones. Like health, road, security, corruption, education etc. In fact, APC , PDP and others have failed Nigerians. |
Nothing new. This Catchment areas arrangements has been in JAMB brochure since all this years. Why will anybody blame Buari! |
It appears as if our senators don't understand the requirements for the amendment of 1999 constitution. It is a must the the President should assent the amendment bill. It is if and only if the President assent to a bill that makes it an Act. Even if the National Assembly veto a bill, the presidency has the power to nullify it through the Supreme Court(ofcouse the President approves the appointment of the CJ so u know what it means). The executive may decided not to executive an Act and makes it useless with an injunction from SC to set such bill aside pending the forever Supreme Court ruling. |

Accountancy is the profession while accounting is the methodology. It has nothing to do with university or polytechnic, universities in UK run B.Sc in Accountancy. A friend of mine hold B.Sc(Hons) in Accountancy from Nottingham University in UK( www. Nottingham.ac.uk). Thesame university also run a separate B.Sc(Hons) in Accounting. Conclusion, they are not thesame (Pharmacology and Pharmacy are not thesame) PSN don't accept Pharmacology its either B.Pharm or nothing. |

Skoopy:Its not the responsibility of Lagos to feed the whole Nigerians bro. Its a nice move. Lagos get the money Kebbi get the stock and rice don't grow in Lagos. |
In line with Section 19 (1) of the Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Law, 1979 (as amended) and by virtue of all other laws the Executive Governor of any State in Nigeria are empowered to approved the appointment of all traditional rulers including the Emirs and the Oba of Benin, Oba of Lagos or any other Obas or whatever traditional ruler position in there respective state inside the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It’s a shame that youths don’t understand the grammatical meaning of “Approval of appointment” |
kenonze:The guy is vomiting rubbish, GEJ cannot do this! |
DesChyko:No military man respect a civilian Commander -in -Chief. |
Nashirushekoni:Lagos is a mini Nigeria, attack on Lagos is an attack on SW, SE,SS, NW, NE, NC. If you throw stone into the market, it may hit your neighbors. Bayelsa population is not up to the whole of Niger Delta capital in Lagos AJ city ( Ajegunle ). |
odikimi:Only a fool will fail to understand that Lagos is a mini Nigeria. Yoruba are not at war with anybody. U guys are looking for ways to set us against our brothers in Niger Delta. Stop fuelling issues, start your countdown with the day you guys will mobilize your Biafran army for the war proper. SS cannot rescue you guys, they have oil u have nothing. I don't know why u have not relocated to SE for your military training and Man O War activities! |
kernel501:For Adekunle Fajuyi to rather died along side with Aguyi shows more than bravery. U guys don't know nothing. Let the dead rest, lead the war! |
uduak2016:Those are the real great Biafrans that died while fighting the physical war not this present days butter children that cannot handle ordinary cattle boys and hidding somewhere in Lagos, calling for war in the SE. I will take you guys serious when I see large numbers of SE youth from all over the fedaration matching down to SE in preparation for the war.. I don't fight war on social media on on what happend in the AD's or 1947. Kanu is in the prison right now while you guys are sleeping under the comfort of your parent roof outside the Fulani massacred and 'social media war' prone area (SE)waiting for justice from thesame FG Suprime court. There shall be no war in SE(amen). |
waternogetenemy:Biafran war is different from Niger Delta Avengers fight. And the last time I checked, SS are Niger Deltans while Biafrans are SE 'no gum body' We have seen the Niger Deltans Avengers with there weapons but we are yet to see Biaframs with there physical weapons (not on social media). And who cares about oil? Everywhere will be leveled. Afterall, countries that don't have oil are surviving! SE that are running when ordinary Fulani hersemen are killing there people in there own land. They can't fight little Almajiri's not to mention a Nigerian Armforces. No economic quantity of crude oil in the SE, so its will be 1 spanner lost. |
kulrunsman79:Must you always mention Buhari in all things? |
I don't know why people still thinks if FG really want to deal with Niger Deltans, they will not go by full NAF airstrikes accross the creeks instead of army. You guys don't know anything! |
Treason is worst than insurgency. I wonder why the mordern Biafran soilders have not break KANU prison and freed him by now or they are waiting for Supreme Court of Nigeria to give verdict in favour of a man that holds a Nigerian, UK, Biafran passports at thesame time. I pray that his case will not be like that of Ken Saro Wiwa that was executed by no nonsense Sanni Abacha and nothing happened. The Biafran thing should have make sense during Abacha regime then you will realize that Pastor Yakubu Gowon was a nice Christian at such a tender age( check Gown age during the civil war). |
