Applying for Canadian Study Permit in the US while holding a US visitor visa

Bro,
You may need to be more explicit about your claim. I checked through the links you provided above and none of them explain in clear term that a US visitor can apply for Canadian study permit from USA. I wont advice anybody to apply from USA unless the information is more explicit.

Vetassess doesn't require English proficiency before you are assessed. You only need it to increase your point.

I jst finished my Nysc and I really wants to do my MSc in Canada, Pls what's d 1st step in regards to my wish?
You need to start by searching for universities that have your course of study in Canada. You may need to decide if you will be going for research based or course based program. Make google your friend.

Hope your transcript has reached them? I think it will help hasten the process. I mean for when you apply for assessment.

No Bro. I'm planning to send the transcript immediately i got a response from the advisory service. Did you send yours before you got a response from them?

I need 20 points.. i've already lost 5 points from age, and I don't have enough work experience to claim. As it stands, a positive assessment will put me at 50 points .. na why I talk say "Too bad" .. No be say band 8.5 bad .. haba.. grin .. na the score arrangement no pure for its intended use.

PTE - A is d best option coz i'm not sure you can use it for your assessment while its under re-evaluation. AS mctowel01 suggested you may need to confirm the time frame for the remarking. I believe you will get through with PTE-A

guys my IELTS just got released... viewed online

Listening: 9.0
Reading: 9.0
Writing: 7.5
Speaking: 7.5

Overall: 8.5

Too bad. what do you guys think, should I call for a review of the last two or just register for PTE-A straightaway
Too bad ke. This is not bad. Are you looking for 20 points? i'm not sure calling for a review would be a nice step coz of 7.5 in two modules. It will be better if its only one module. You can go for PTE - A if you want to claim 20 points from English proficiency.

Omo I went to like 5 banks and this moneygram thing wasn't working, Diamond said I must come by 8 a.m as the window closes by 8:04 and that they have a quotation which the entire branches I Nigeria try to fill within those 4 mins. Some other bank no longer do moneygram. My only other option was to use my first bank and pay the USD equivalent of 760 AUD which is about 580 USD and about 270k in Naira. I finally found a relative who didn't need naira but just helped and paid for me while I sent 760 AUD at N270 per AUD to her. Wonder how I will pay for the Visa when I get to that stage.
Wao. this is serious ooooo. I pray i find someone to assist me too. I'm still waiting for advisory service, applied since August 30th, more than 20 working days already. I pray they respond soon. Everything about vetassess is slow and they give negative assessment any how. Congratz in advance bro. I'm following after you.

Assessment paid and submitted to Vetassess...now my watch has begun.

How much did you finally pay for the assessment in Naira? Did you pay with your bank or someone helped you from AUS? Congratz in advance.

Good day friends,
I was contacted on 27/09/2016 to provide another offer letter since the former has expired. I sent the new offer a day after via the email address provided by them but am yet to hear from them.

My fear is that I needed an acknowledgement or confirmation that my mail was duly received cause I was giving 14 days to do so.

please good ones, what are your taught on this.

Thank you

Have you passed your medical? if yes, when?

Thanks for your contributions on this forum. It has helped a lot. Unfortunately my application was refused on Friday 30th Sept. Reason no family ties even though am a mature student with husband and 2 kids here in naija and travel history. That un a way baffles me cos i have travelled to the uk like 3 times in the last 2 years +I have a valid US visa. I have requested for the GCMS note thru my cousin in canada cos I would like to reapply.

I have made a tuition deposit of $7500 to the school. Please do I need to inform the school at this point that my trv was refused.

Also, I will be travelling to the US in Nov for 5 weeks. Can I reapply from there as av checked the processing time which is 4 weeks.

Please I urgently need your advise. GOD bless you all.

is your application against Fall or Winter?

I would authoritatively say that Canada no longer want PGD(C) and the chances are 11/100 applicants if chosen. Don't ask me why but i have a cogent convincing fact about this.i would advise that if you r reapplying with PGD or PGc, better look up for another country cos you MIGHT be disappointed again or get lucky..
For those quoting me for contributions on post, i have to channel my time for another study thread i have interest in applying to and push my energy for those countries.
Im off here for the mean time pending...... *1love..*1hustle

Bro, why cant you give canada one more chance with a masters admission. You should be able to get masters admission if you give it what it takes. I wish you well in your endeavours.

Yes, he has, I think CIC is just relaxing with our applications, knowing we are resuming in January. They feel no need for rushing. My opinion sa.
You may be right. considering the processing time of 16 weeks, i think we should just hope for the best. It will end in praise.

Thank you for your response. Am going for a one year program, is that amount not too much? And in my letter of admission i was informed to budget 1000-1200 per month for living expenses.

its not too much. from CIC guideline you have to make a provision of 10k for ur living expenses. others of 5k is for flight and other expenses. Even what your school asked you to budget for is even more than CIC own.

Good day all. Hope the weekend was restful?

Please I just humbly need a lil clarification. I submitted my application, paper route on the 30th August. Decided to link it online today, 18th Sept. And I noticed on the online platform, after successfully linking, it shows today 18th September as date submitted. Please, does it mean I have to start counting from today or it's still from the 30th August I submitted?

Many Thanks!

30th August.

It's finally my turn to ask a question! grin

A family friend of mine is applying for a TRV in a couple weeks. He did upfront medicals, but afterwards decided to renew his passport.

Recently he noticed that his completed medicals form has his old passport number on it. The issue is that he will be applying for his TRV using the new passport, but he will be attaching the upfront medicals document with the old passport number.

Has anyone ever done this? Did you run into any problems with CIC requesting a new medicals report? Any advice?

Good day bro, your family friend should be okay. I was in d same shoe last month. I did my upfront medicals and police clearance before I renew my passport. I didn't see it as a big deal then coz my new passport carried the old and new passport number and d old passport number was on d medical and police clearance certificate. I was right as I had my medical passed last Friday. let your family friend continues with the application. gonna end well.
