The recently 90 million winner left Lagos today with ShineYaEye first runner up, Liquorose ,Diane from Pepper Dem and Prince from Lockdown .

All former housemates from the just concluded 2021 BBNaija ShineYaEye were given an opportunity to visit the house that brought fame to them for the last time.

The housemates visited the house after the presentation of prizes won by the winner of this year edition, Whitemoney. Multichoice Nigeria boss and Ebuka joined all the ShineYaEye housemates to tour the house again .

BBNaija ShineYaEye has broken the record with the highest votes recorded in a single season with over a billion votes.

2021 edition also happen to be an edition with no SMS votes, votings were only done on AfricaMagic websites and DSTV/GOTV mobile applications. The viewers in UK also had the exclusive viewing pleasure through Showmax, they also could vote unlike other seasons.

The biggest reality show in Africa ended yesterday with a grand finale that saw Whitemoney winning the 90 million packed prizes after Laycon, Avala, Made Kuti and Lokay performed.

The organisers confirmed that the paid voting system has hindered some lovers of the show in deciding who wins the show that is one of the major reasons for adopting this season voting system.

The Lockdown winner,Laycon will return to the stage that brought him limelight a year while the Pepper dem housemate, Avala will have a chance to gain from the BBNaija platform after she was evicted from the in her first week alongside Isilomo.

All BBNaija housemates partied last night togther at the party room, the recently evicted housemates and the top 6, Angel, Liquorose, Pere, Emmanuel and Whitemoney.

The housemates came back to the house that brought fame and some of them could not hide their feelings after their eviction; Nini and Saga were not so cozy like they us to be while Pere and Maria did not exchange pleasantries.

Did anyone notice that Boma and Tega did not even hold hands at all, the real world has affected the way the evicted housemates related with themselves and even the top 6.

Season 6 of BBNaija ShineYaEye did not only bring entertainment but it brought some shocking and controversial moments in the show.

These moments might have been caused by housemates or Biggie himself, we take a look critically since the show started from the 24th of July 2021 till now that its in the final week.

1. Double Launch Show
For the very first time in the history of BBNaija, ShineYaEye started with 2 launch shows with entering of the male housemates first then the female housemates were allowed to go in on Sunday.

2. Pere and Whitemoney
The housemates fell in love with Whitemoney cooking skills and his eagerness to always be in the mood to be in the kitchen but Pere as a strategic person saw it as a strategy and killed against Whitemoney kitchen monopoly strategy when he was head of house. The General Pere title came when Pere confronted Whitemoney in a manner at which alot of viewers saw it like Pere wanted to beat Whitemoney like a boy.

3. Saga and Nini Relationship
A repeat of Nengi and Ozo during Lockdown era almost repeated itself with Saga and Nini friendship or relationship in the house. The peak was when Nini carried the secret task given to her by Biggie, Saga sat in the garden for close to an hour after the early morning workout and cried as he thought Nini has left the show while it rains.

4. Wildcards
Viewers were thrown into days of confusion when Biggie announced that 2 wildcards are in the house through Ebuka, unlike previous edition that viewers will be informed about the housemates. The organisers decider to make it interesting for both the viewers and housemates.

5. Top 5 turn Top 6
Pere and Angel were asked to move to White room after faking their eviction inorder to play a decisive game in order to complete Top 5. This decision did not go well with many lovers of the show because Pere votes at 25.31% was higher than Angel votes of 14.63% and some of Pere fans protest against that decision made by the organisers.

Biggie had no option than to make Pere and Ange return to the house as Top 5 turned to Top 6 for the very first time.

6. Maria's Eviction
One of the most shocking eviction of this season was Maria's earky exit from the show, she came in as wildcard and played it so well to survive the first elimination then also played a secret task given to her to fake evict other housemates.
She could have been the drama queen of the show until she was evicted in a week that was shocking to her fans and lover of the show.

Twist is surely part of why BBNaija is highly unpredictable, Biggie changes the nature and dimension of the game to both housemates and viewers, several twists have brought spice to the game in the previous editions.

Talking about twist in the course of the game, BBNaija 2021 ShineYaEye was not left out as we critically look at the top 10 twists that Biggie add to the game.

1. Wildcards

For the very first time in the history of BBNaija, Biggie introduced 2 housemates at the very begining of the show and gave other housemates the assignment to think which of them is wildcard. Both the viewers and the listeners were thrown into dark has they all have their suggestion about who is Wildcard.

This twist is the first of its kind, in the past Biggie has only introduced 2 fake housemates that was Ese Eriata and Jon during See Gobe. No doubt, Pere and Maria played this twist so well and even the viewers were shocked.

2. 4 New Housemates
After the eviction of Beatrice, Yerins and Niyi, Biggie introduced 4 new housemates to the house at the point the house had 23 housemates in total which happens to be the highest so far.
Viewers complained bitterly about the show not as interesting as the previous season , this could have resorted to the introduction of Queen, JMK, Micheal and Kayvee to scatter so ships or form more ships for the viewing pleasure of the viewers.

3. Maria's Eviction Prank

Biggie instructed Maria (head of house) to tell the house that she has been given an assignment to pick 4 housemates that will be evicted on Sunday. This twist came a week after she survived eviction after revealing on the Sunday show that she and Pere are the wildcards.

Biggie made it so real that Maria was given a record book to score her fellow housemates during the week and the housemates with the least score will be evicted on Sunday. This is the first kind of twist in history of BBNaija

4. Double HOH
Jackie B and Jaypaul made history to become the second duo to share Head of House duties and privileges. This twist did not give room for deputy head of house and it happened during Pepper Dem edition when Ike and Mercy became the very first double HOHs.

5. King Size Eviction

Eviction twists had always been part of the game every season, we are used to fake evictions but ShineYaEye season, Biggie raiser the bar with an eviction of 4 housemates in a single Sunday eviction show.

The King Size eviction saw the eviction of some of the big players of ShineYaEye Boma and Tega, Micheal and Peace was also evicted that same night.

Both the viewers and housemates were used to 2 or 3 housemates eviction but that twist changed the game.

4. Nini's Disappearance

Nini was handed a secret task to leave the house at midnight and to make sure that no housemate see her when she is about to leave making use of the emergency exit into the white room.
Saga and other housemates woke up for the usual early morning workout to notice that Nini was not in the house, later in the day Biggie gave housemates 20 minutes to search for Nini or else they will pack her bags. Saga slept at the entrance of the diary room as Pere and Angel joined him , this prank has never happened before .

5. Pere And Angel Fake Eviction

Pere and Angel were faked evicted hoping that one of them will return into the house to complete the top 5 but the backlash and complain mostly from Pere fans about the unfairness of Pere to compete with Angel after his fans have voted did not allow this twist to go by. I can say that twist got wrong for Biggie this time.

6. Top 6 Finalists

For the very first time in the history of BBNaija we had 6 housemates in the final week of the show, beause Pere and Angel fake eviction did not go smoothly as planned. Biggie had to allow both of them return into the house as finalists and compete with Cross, Whitemoney and Liquorose.

7. Nomination Before HOH Game

After several weeks on the show, Biggie decided to change the dimension of the Head of House game and nomination including the save and replace Veto power. Unlike previous editions, Head of House game comes first then nomination immediately , in the later part of ShineYaEye edition things changed .

Nomination comes first before Head of House and even the broadcasting time moved from 6pm to 5pm.

Africa Magic on Thursday, February 6, 2020, unveiled their nominations for the seventh edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA).


The nominations were unveiled in a live broadcast on all Africa Magic channels on MultiChoice’s DSTV and anchored by Nollywood couple Linda Ejiofor and Ibrahim Suleiman.


Awards will be presented in 28 categories, with seven categories open to public voting and 21 being categories to be decided by the AMVCA panel of judges with the inclusion of a new category, The MultiChoice Talent Factory Award.

Two police officers have died after their car crashed while they were chasing a commercial vehicle.



According to reports, the officers, who were driving an official police car, chased after a Sienna carrying passengers along the Ogoni/Akwa Ibom road. In the course of the chase, the police car crashed into a bush and somersaulted.



Two officers died in the crash while the Sienna zoomed off.
