Thank God stealing is now corruption. I keep wondering how all these financial atrocities were perpetrated and our president of then was cool with it, it baffles me.

Few weeks ago I read about Metuh begging to return 400 Million as said by his lawyer, that's the Nigeria I want for myself and children, not a Nigeria where we celebrate thieves, and when you see the government chasing past thieves you'd hear people say "witch hunt", how pathetic! As long as a witch is hunted be it APC/PDP corrupt witch I don't give a damn, as long as politicians get to feel the heat that stealing money now has consequences I'm ok with that.

Necessity is the mother of invention. People do extremely impossible things in dire situations, that said, the government needs to look into better ways on how to curb unemployment as I don't see such a threat or order to banks as something good enough.

We know the nation is in hard times but what annoys me most is how some folks rubbish the present administrations' anti corruption work. PDP had 16 years to lock all APC/CPC/ACN crooks up if they were interested in fighting corruption as they were elected and paid to do. If they couldn't do that and APC is now locking PDP crooks up, I for one don't want to hear their sob stories. So long as some crooks are getting locked up, that is progress.

For those asking for Benue, its been uploaded

www.nigerianlabourmarket.com/images/policerecruitment/BENUE.pdf

Wait a minute, did they invite everyone who applied? Benue has 982 pages and that is like 51,064 shortlisted candidates for Benue alone, for just 200 positions for the state?

Well, when a job is yours its yours as its said, despite seeing my name I'm sorry I can't travel down there to scrabble with over 50,000 people and gatecrashers. Embracing my present job with open arms grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Police 2016 Recruitment Of 10,000 Personnel by metrosexual: 3:37pm On Jun 04, 2016
From the PDF files I have seen so far of invited candidates for states, at average every PDF document has around 350 pages and 52 names per page.

Do the math. That's around 18,000 invited per state for positions which I heard is for about 200 slots per state for general duties. 18,000 candidates chasing slots meant for 200 people? That's roughly just 1% of the invited folks.

May God save Nigerian youths from this menace called unemployment. Amen!

If you want full staff status and not contract staff status please submit your application online to Stanbic. I did for Uyo job location online and I was called to their Port Harcourt regional branch for assessment test, passed it and was called for a brief interview weeks later. I know another guy for same Uyo location who we did the interview together then but they are yet to progress after the interview, as they said, once they need hands for Uyo location we'd be notified.

Yes and It is to God's glory. I do not take credit for these. I am pained by the increment because I pick my bills (you probably dont understand what that is. It means paying for the things you enjoy. You will get there cool). N145 is not paltry. My daughters school fee per term is 230k (Thats probably the sum of what you paid for your non-UME course) Judging by the way you are talking, you dont have responsibilities and probably have no plans. Am proud to be a "nigga". Very proud. My companies are not for sale because we are delivering value both for our staff and client. I am 35 years old. Thats my real age. How old are you and what have you achieved?
Pardon my intrusion, but while reading your reply to the person you quoted I couldn't help but ask;

N230,000 a month? A month!? I presume from you being 35 years old as you said, your daughter should be in primary school or junior secondary at most, you mean for a 3 months term in a primary school you pay around N700,000? And in a year you pay around N2,000,000 just for fees? Is this school here in Nigeria?

I doff my hat for you bro!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How To Write A Good CV by metrosexual: 9:18am On May 16, 2016
These self acclaimed Human Resources "specialists" like the OP who keep claiming you shouldn't include your age in your CV are so wrong!

Like seriously, companies pay very good attention to age, do you think if you hide your age and your CV seems quite enticing for the HR manager and he invites you for an interview, you think when he finds out you are above their company policy of 27 years he would change company policy just for you? You must be dreaming!

From what I know, when there is a vacancy and its got age specifications, those without dates of births on their CV are overlooked, thousands apply to vacancies so you don't expect a HR manager to go through the stress of requiring an interview to find out your age, a short listing prior to interview process is enough for that.

Now you are wrong... England has been number three beside Germany and Spain in number 2 and 1 respectively, yet four teams from England went to UCL this season..
Mind you except Italy overtake England which is not possible, England will still produce Four team (first three earn automatic Q, while the fourth will play a play off..use man Utd as example 2015/2016 season.)
Mr. you are getting it all wrong! I wasn't saying England gets 3 places for Champions League, England has 4 places for Champions League, the person I quoted was arguing about the fact that if Liverpool wins Europa then they will take the place of the fourth team for Champions League position, so it would be the top 3 teams plus Liverpool making it still the standard four places for England.

khattab02:
seems you haven't been reading the news. New Uefa rule states that, whoever wins the Europa league goes straight to the group phase of the next champions league. This rule started this season and so the Chelsea case of 2012 do not apply.

The coeffiecient ranking is for the number places to allocated to in the UCL and Europa league. So in the ranking, only top 3 get 4 slots which are Spain, Germany and England. Thats why the performance of English teams in both competitions have been questioned of lately.
• Regarding the top three associations (i.e. Spain, Germany and England*): if two clubs from one of these countries win the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, and neither finish their domestic league in a position that qualifies them for
the UEFA Champions League (something that had been possible in England with Manchester City and Liverpool), the following will happen:

– The club that won the UEFA Champions League will go straight into the group stage

– The UEFA Europa League winners will go into the UEFA Champions League play-offs

– The club that had qualified for a UEFA Champions League play-off spot via their domestic league competition (i.e. finished fourth) will transfer into the UEFA Europa League

You are wrong sir.. iF man Utd make the top 4 and Liverpool wins Europa, it means England will have 5 representative in UCL.
It would have bn the other way round if Man City gt to the final of UCL and win ditto Liverpool.
You are very wrong!

Spain got 5 places when Sevilla won Europa last year because Spain is No. 1 on UEFA coefficient.

England is No. 3 on UEFA coefficient behind Germany at No. 2, so the 5 places in UCL can't work for England.

Remember in the 2011/2012 season when Chelsea won UCL and the fourth place team(Tottenham) had to settle for Europa with Chelsea taking their position? And back then England was No. 2 on UEFA coefficient yet it was only 4 places given to England, i.e the top 3 and Chelsea.

So if Liverpool wins Europa, the fourth team would settle for Europa.

In other news, Gunners for life! grin

Lastly, always wire his house rent to his bank account on time if you are renewing your rent, like 2 weeks before the due date, that's how a landlord woke me up with smiles at 7am back then because he got my payment alert by 6am from my internet banking, he was so happy and thanking me grin I became his most "loved" tenant since then cheesy
BusinessRe: Why You Should Stop Sports Betting & Gambling by metrosexual: 12:56pm On May 05, 2016
I wouldn't talk about "gambling" because I don't know much about that. I will talk about sports betting, some call it gambling but I don't agree. Throwing a coin to show a random number is more of gambling than watching Atletico Madrid FC for years and predicting they would rarely lose a match at home.

Everything needs moderation and expertise, most folks lose at Sport betting because they take it to luck or chance.

Most sport bet punters day dream and hope they would become millionaires overnight. That happens sometimes but out of 10 million sport bet punters in a week, only like 1 percent experience such luck.

Take betting as a business and analyse it detailedly with statistics and detailed information and you would rarely lose.

Take for instance, a co-worker at the start of the season put in N15,000 in betting on teams to win the English Premier League. All the small clubs had huge odds of up to 5000 odds. He staked 100 each for the small clubs with huge odds. And for the bigger teams he staked higher amounts which all resulted to N15,000 in total.

Come May 2th 2016, Leicester City FC won the league, Leicester City FC had 5000 odds to win the league, the dude won N500,000 from the N100 stake he placed on all small teams with huge odds.

I know of someone who from the start of the season plays every West Ham Utd game to play over 1.5 goals(meaning - there would be at least 2 goals in every West Ham Utd matches). West Ham Utd this season have played over 1.5 goals in 85% of their games meaning he has gained a lot. He stakes N20,000 per game and makes a profit of between N6,500 to N8,500 per game. At the end of the season the money what he gains is usually in the range of N120,000 to N150,00 taking out the few 5-7 times he lose a bet. Mind you, he makes his bets online and doesn't withdraw his initial deposit or wins till the end of the season. At the end of the season he then invests the money into anything of his choice. I can't exhaust the plenty betting strategies which intelligent punters I know employ and ALWAYS WIN, these friends I'm talking about are not unemployed, they are University graduates with good white collar jobs but they see the good investment and payout in sports betting and the key to winning is betting based on valid statistics, the least risks and least games as possible.

Betting houses sponsor football leagues the world over because they expect games to be fair and not fixed or else punters will milk them dry. Why do you think any club caught "selling" or fixing matches is severely punished? Remember what happened to Juventus FC years back? What do you think made football this popular in the world today? Sports betting of course!

Go to foreign countries and see rich men winning big in sports betting, but here in Nigeria its just kids believing in luck and chance and the betting houses keep milking them dry.

I'm tired of typing, make your intelligent deductions based on your opinion.

Ciao!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Is There Any Hope Of Better Jobs For 2:2 Graduates? by metrosexual:
What's this constant crap about 2:2 all about? I call it a pathetic self pity lamentation from anyone who is not determined for success in life.

I have friends who have a 2:1 and are contract staffs in banks, and friends with a 2:2 who are core staff in big firms.

Truth be told, for banks and most top auditing firms, you need a 2:1 to get a graduate trainee job, but then how many graduate trainee jobs are given out there in a year? Lots of other jobs out there have the basic 2:2 benchmark.

Lastly, I will tell any 2:2 holder to go for experience no matter how small the pay is, a 2:2 with experience would get you jobs which a 2:1 holder kept dreaming for as he/she keeps waiting for graduate trainee employment. Experienced hire positions of 2 years upwards mostly have no 2:1/2:2 disparity.

And for the last time, stop this self pity gibberish about if there is hope for 2:2 graduates, because 2:2 graduates have excelled, are excelling and will still excel in the future to come!

RomanceRe: Guys, Can You Ever Be Faithful To A Single Girlfriend? by metrosexual:
Well, this all depends on the worth of the girl, we guys know when we are with a girl who is worth being faithful to, naturally you would be faithful. For some men, a lady being worthy of that may be because she is very pretty and endowed, financially buoyant, respectful and homely, etc.

But talking on the general perspective in which most girls are going into relationships just to have someone to pay their bills and guys know this take ladies as just appendages to sexual pleasure, and you don't expect such a man not to wanna have a taste of various varieties. You'd rarely see someone going into a supermarket just to buy only one commodity, since some ladies portray themselves as sexual commodities to be bought, men would always wanna flex their buying power by tasting other varieties.

Africans are the most sanctimonious people on earth! How pathetic!

Its in Africa you see how we claim to revere and adore religion and yet Africa is the most corrupt continent, the most malnourished continent in terms of development as a result of corruption and hate for each other, so I ask, why doesn't this religion we adore so much have positive impact on us? Bunch of hypocrites!

I'm not in support of women being naked but I hate the fact that women are always the point of censure, why not also blame the weak and sexually crazy men who can't control themselves when they see a woman dressing "provocatively"? Ask every man and we all would say we can't be moved by a woman dressing provocatively, so who is deceiving who?

If we rebuke envy, corruption and hate among us like we do towards female dressing, Africa would become better!

PhonesRe: A Nairalander's Review Of The BOOM J8 By Bustscam by metrosexual: 5:22pm On Apr 11, 2016
BustScam, I have never been a fan of the likes of Techno, Gionee and other related phones but I must confess that the Gionee Marathon M5 Mini is the best phone is the class of such phones.
I don't own one though.

Its got 4G LTE capability
Its got 2GB RAM
Its got 16GB internal memory
Its got a 4000Mah battery (the Boom J8 is 3000Mah)
Its got a 8MP camera, 5MP front camera (*coughs* we all know that the likes of Techno and Gionee camera specifications can't be compared to the likes of Samsung, HTC with same specs though)

And its price is 32K!

That price for me is what's making the phone sell out! So Techno needs to review their price, if Gionee M5 mini is going for 32K then no sane customer would pick it a Boom J8 over M5 Mini.

PS: Nsonaso, Please what phone are you using? The screengrab you posted to disprove the battery strength of the Boom J8 shows a phone with a good battery life, I wanna know which phone please. Thanks.

Cliveglobal1, you asked for a phone with same specs but cheaper price, here you go.

EventsRe: Wedding In Nigeria: At What Cost? by metrosexual:
The high cost of marriages all boils down to the fact that women have excessively worshipped marriage over the years and therefore the ceremony has gotten utterly expensive.

What annoys me the most is how women take been married as something more important than oxygen or something.

Ask any Nigerian girl above 18 what's her goal or dream in life, the first thing you hear is "Marriage"

Like seriously, are Nigerian women this purposeless? You'd rarely hear an American or European young lady mentioning married as her dream or ambition once she clocks 18. No wonder why foreign women are the ones shaking the world while our Nigerian women watch them on TV.

I'm not against marriage but its this facade which make ladies underachievers in life, its this which makes women to be portrayed as the "weaker sexes", and its because of this most ladies are lazy and looking for the random Joe who would bear all their financial needs and excesses under the guise of marriage.

Be a woman of class, have a dream, have a goal, have an ambition other than marriage, something you wanna conquer or achieve before you hit 30.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Essence Of Posting Vacancies Without Location? by metrosexual: 2:00pm On Feb 25, 2016
Jadekitana:
Google is your friend dear, they can't spoon feed you! It's not easy sourcing out these vacancies, help yourself as well by searching for addresses.
Jadekitana I think you don't understand what the OP means. This is not about knowing the address of the particular company.

Take for instance company 'A' has its head office in Lagos and branches in Port Harcourt, Abuja, Uyo, Kano and Enugu. Company 'A' might have vacancies in its Enugu branch and without stating the particular location for the vacancy job seekers won't know, you can't find such information on Google.

Such inadequate information might make job seekers in far away locations not interested in working in Enugu to apply as well. And some job seekers in Enugu who need the job might not apply because they will not be informed that the particular vacancy is for Enugu based applicants since the location wasn't stated on the job advert.

Competent organisations never make such mistakes though, they always state the exact location for the particular vacancy.
