So if the US disregard for Jonathan was due to gay rights has Buhari enthroned gay rights in Nigeria Now?

As we speak is there respect for gay rights in Nigeria ?

So the US as intelligent as they've proven to be would not be able to reckon that a Moderate Southerner (Jonathan) was more likely to Foster gay rights on than a Core (Muslim) Northerner?

Our opposition for a leader should not cause us not to balance arguments properly.
Trump is anti-gay. Obama was pro-gay.

Casemiro:
To cut the long story short, my phone can't access photos on whatsapp. When I click on the photo, it tells me to grant special permission for whatasapp to access storage. When I enter the settings, and click on the permission for storage, it tells me to disable screen overlay. I have done that but it still persists.

Not just on whatsapp but on other apps too! can you imagine I can't access PDF files again? same issue, asking to display screen overlay.

Please what should I do?

just restore to factory settings but you should move all important data to your memory card first and remove the sim card with your memory card before restoring to factory settings.

Why are all federal agencies now dominated by northerners and they all seem to be competing against each other in painting the south black? The EFCC should act on the Gandollar bribe taking video first or keep quiet.

Aluta lion representing here, please, how much in total do i need for the German masters, money is not really much of a problem although a building project is sucking me dry now. I have my bachelor in Economics and geography, i initially wanted to go for a masters in geoinformatics at the applied university of technology Karlruhe but ran away when i noticed that the courses they offered were totally different from what i took in Nigeria ( they were offering practical courses while i learnt only theoretical ones in Nigeria) but the current situation in Nigeria have become worse than hopeless so i'm seriously thinking of moving out now (it's now more costly compared to 2011 because the price of euro have more than doubled ). Do you think getting a masters (in geographic information system) first in Nigeria before coming over there would be of benefit to me? Thanks and please complete that sex story.

Education / Is A Masters In Gis, A Waste Of Time. by mgbadike81: 11:31am On Nov 18, 2019
I have been having the itch to go for a masters degree in a practical area, i want to enroll for a masters degree in environmental management specialising in Geographic information system. A friend of mine who recently commenced his masters in my planned school told me that he had paid between 350-400k in fees so i concluded that the entire program would cost me at least a million naira. When i searched for Gis jobs online, there was practically no currently listed gis jobs, do you think that i should proceed? Those in the gis field, please, your advise is needed.

At the rate poverty is ravaging Nigeria, such stories might soon become common here, unfortunately, we don't have tourists so it would be news of parents pimping out their daughters and wives for 2k a night. Even young men are now been pimped out to Homosexuals and unattractive old women.

I quite agree with the Emir's strongly worded views, but your bolded statement doesn't sell, there is a reason why such age bracket are called minors.
In a sane society, most children in the North would be forcefully taken and given out for adoption. It still boils down to the same thing which is doing what is best for the children. Have you lived in the North before?

What arrant nonsense are you trying to argue there, that a 3-4 year old can now make decisions on their choice on parenting.

You should just delete the bolded from your post the sight of it alone is nauseating.
are 3-4 years old begging and scavenging in the North, often living away from family with other Muslim students as almajiri? You need to understand the context the Emir is coming from, i saw unbelievable things in the North.

Once a thread hits the FrontPage, it would attract all sorts of stupid commenters, the moderators should try and enforce discipline, this same question on Qora or reddit would attract more intelligent answers because their moderators actually do their jobs.

Politics / Re: Sanusi: Parents Of Kano Abducted Children Deserve To Be Jailed For Negligence by mgbadike81: 5:08am On Nov 10, 2019
FriendNG:
Somebody sent his child to school along the line some unscrupulous elements abducted the child, transformed the child into something else, give him/her a new name and change his religion from Islam to Christianity.

After police rescued children, as a leader you did not share the grievance with parents, neither condemned the act, but all of a sudden you want to jail the parents when you have not jailed the Kidnappers.

As a leader you should try to stop the abduction first, charge the accused to court before you talk about the victims share of blame.

Where on earth did you got the information that these 9 kids were Kidnapped while begging on the street? Some were Kidnapped alongside with their mother, they later released the mother and left with the children. Can you call all these as an act of neglect

A child was on his way back home from school and he was abducted & someone tells me it is the parents fault.

Besides, these kidnappings weren't just random, they were well planned and organised. Instead of blaming the victims of this atrocious act, you're blame the community. This is like blaming a rape victim. Just because u are privileged to be a leader by an accident of birth doesn't give u the right to speak so arrogantly.

Indirectly he is giving the abductors an upper hand, because there is not a single sentence where he criminalised the abductors but he criminalised the victims.

I need someone to help me point out a single statement in the entire write-up where the accidental emir condemned the abductors.

*Just 1 is ok*

Nobody in the east sends a 3 or 4 years old child to school alone, it's criminal negligence. I have lived in the North long enough to know what he's trying to condemn, parents allow too much freedom to their children which explains why teenage girls can easily hang around with men very late at night there, the Emir condemned both sides but he is specifically calling for the northerners to stop irresponsible parenting which includes child begging. An average almajiri in the North would be happy to be adopted in the east, the northern authorities are deliberately making much noise about this whereas most of those children might not have been really kidnapped but willingly followed those people due to prospect of a better life under more wealthy and responsible parents.

Retirement means accumulating enough assets that generate enough cashflow monthly to take care of your monthly expenses without you working.

If u still work to stay afloat financially then u have not retired. Whether u work for yourself or not u have not retired.

There is almost nothing like retirement for most Nigerians, we only move from one hustle to another till death do us part
correct guy, you just said the truth as it is.

Donbrig:
We all know times are hard in Nigeria, but many Nigerians are still retiring after a successful career. Many Nigerians are still doing well, even though poverty is overrated in Nigeria.
There are some common formulas used by personal finance planners but i wouldn't burden you with such calculations, so I'll use a simple approach for you.if you intend to retire at 65, estimate that you would need a million naira a year in retirement (just a little above 80k a month) and forsee yourself living upto 85 years (20 years in retirement) then you need 20 million naira by the date of your retirement. This approach ignored the influence of double digit inflation prevalent in Nigeria. A bag of local rice that use to cost #5,500 in 2015 is now 20k, which shows you how fast inflation eats up retirement savings in Nigeria, if you do the mathematics above while taking inflation into consideration, you might be needing more than 100 million in present day naira to survive for the next 20years while maintaining the same standard of living. Also consider that you might need significant healthcare costs and paid maid help in your old age. By next twenty years, many elderly Nigerians might resort to suicide due to old age poverty, ill health and lack of care.
