The truth is that no matter what is suggested/recommended, it may or may not go well on your baby's skin. I remember making my own coconut oil for my first and feeling fly only for it to dry out my baby's skin. I switched to Napa Olive oil and it turned out to be the best decision ever. Infact na our family cream and lotion be that for the past 6 years

Morning sickness has gradually packed its load, now replaced by catarh and sore throat.
I finally registered for ANC yesterday, am suspecting that LO will be a she coz am seeing some rashes on my face.
As for shopping I already started carting stuffs that I want to order I should purchase them next week so it can arrive on time.

No they didn't cheat you. You should be worried if it is truly original because at a point it was as if they were not importing again. I turned to baby secret after I bought a fake for 3k plus

Weldon mama, This is me, this ASUU strike gave me a relief cos my PGD is at unilag and it’s so stressful cos those lecturers treat us almost like undergraduates during our every evening weekdays lectures. God will see us through. Doctor schedule me for Mid May. My finger is crossed and I know God will perfect everything for us.

My dear, i sometimes thank God for this ASUU strike o because i intended running two PGDs at once. Imagine if there was no ASUU strike God will surely perfect all that concerns us. Amen.

However, congratulations to our porters to April, we are glad you all gave birth successfully and we are thankful to God Almighty that both mothers and babies are alive, healthy and bouncing in the Lord's blessing. May your joy never be cut short in Jesus might name.

Consequently, I am glad we had new mamas register with us teamperfection therefore we are happy for the lord has increased us in every aspect of our lives. Father Lord, we thank you for the journey thus far because it is not by our power nor might that we have come to the month of perfection but for your mercy and favor that you have shown us, accept our thanksgiving in Jesus mighty name. Though it seemed far(at least for me), you gave us live, strength, courage and every other things necessary for easy waddling.

Therefore, my May mamas I say a big congratulation in advance to us all because our testimonies are permanent and people shall rejoice with us in Jesus mighty name. At this juncture, I believe our hospital bags must have been packed and ready in preparation for the arrival of our little ones. Please let's also endeavor to put things in other, like finalizing our leave(for both civil and private employees), start exercising for easy delivery and oh yes we can now eat fruits and foods that aids easy birth( like eating pineapple, dates, zobo, drinking ewedu or okra) whether it works or not I don't think there's harm in trying it.

Lastly, like we've professed, there shall be no loss amongst us(amen). Mothers and babies shall come out alive from the hospital in Jesus mighty name and no death shall be recorded afterwards. I want to use this medium to thank all my teamies, you have made this cappo work easy for me with your contributions, suggestions and availability, therefore I say thank you very much and I'm honored to be amongst you especially being a first time mom. To everyone (our experienced mamas) who have contributed immensely on this thread and made(still making) it easy for us all, may the good Lord grant you your heart desires in Jesus name. Working at a 8 to 6, taking care of a 6 and 2 year old with no househelp, running a post graduate programme at NOUN and hubby only being around at weekends hmmm, i salute myself. I was hoping Dr. will book me for CS 3rd week of May but he's shifting me to last week. God has the wheel.

Finally got it installed over the weekend. The picture quality is top notch. There are channels for kids and movies for adults. There are educative programs too. I don't know about football because i'm not a fan. Above all, i am happy to be free from the shackles of DSTV. At least i have options now.

Heavenly Lord we thank you for this wonderful journey and beautiful experience we are currently having because without you we wouldn't be here today, father accept every bit of our praises of you (amen), provide us with the necessary things we need to be mothers and fathers to these lovely gifts from you and grant us good health from heaven above to birth and look after our little ones. We commit the reminder of our pregnancy journey onto your care, we join our hands and souls in one accord that we shall not experience stillbirth, complications or death amongst us( using this as a prayer point that you console families who are passing through this and Lord bless them with double for their trouble and pain very soon) in Jesus mighty name. We pray oh Lord that our testimonies are permanent and we receive the strength to carry on with life in Jesus precious name. AMEN!!!

I hope teamperfection are in top gear preparing to meet our little ones in faith soonest. I'm sorry some of us are having third trimester morning sicknesses, please let's hang on a little because God who has given us the strength till this stage will finish with us.

Hope we are taking our drugs(even if not everyday) and then let's listen to our doctors or health practitioner's advice and seek second or even third opinions where necessary. Let us also endeavor to eat fruits or take smoothies regularly or seldomly for people who can't tolerate it and eat healthy foods.

May the great provider surprise us all and make things easy.

This pregnancy was the toughest for me,I hardly sleep well,seeing that I needed the baby to properly heal from the death of my mum and mum in-law I hanged on. I started ANC early I never missed my appointment,getting closer date was picked but I wasn't comfortable with it reason I can't explain. Some weeks ago we changed the date to 28/3,I went to the hospital got prepared and went into the theater after some minutes baby was delivered, his cry was loud enough.



Waking up Dr told me that upon opening me up he discovered the cord was almost strangling the baby of which no one knows how long it has been there. Within 3hrs after the birth he started changing color if the oxygen is removed because he was placed on oxygen as the near strangling might have caused shortage of oxygen in his system. He was monitored for 24hrs with no improvement rather he was having fast breathing with noise and his heart was as if it will jump out of his skin,we quickly took him to LifeLine Children Hospital Surulere but unfortunately we lost him on the way to the hospital. They said he had congenital heart disorder which if the surgery is successful the chances of living a normal life will be near impossible. I can't question God all I ask is for strength to move on with the leaking boobs and baby things staring at me and no baby to use them. I have questions but no one can answer me.


I pray we will not cast our young,no pregnant woman here will carry pregnancy and not nurse the child.

May you all carry to them and deliver successfully and to our GTC sisters fear not for your testimony is here.

Oh mama, i am so sorry that you are passing through this. If i should shed tears on reading this then i can only imagine a tiny tiniest bit of what you are going through. Please be striong, grieve all you want but remember to dust yourself and get up again.

I mostly drink water directly from the freezer whenever I am pregnant and this is my third baby. No issues at all. And it is what ibcan stand. I also take tea using dano milk and ovaltine without issues though not regularly. As for orange juice, I can't really say.

Hmm baby is already 4.1 and its not EDD yet. My dear, if I was the one I will opt for CS. Babies gain weight at 3rd trimester unless you are willing to risk your life and that of baby by taking agbo for baby to lose weight.

I buy only basics. The only snacks I buy are Biscuits. And Milo and milk. (is that one even snack?)
Other thinks are basics. Rice, beans, plantain, indomie, red and Gnut oil, stew and soup, tissue, diaper and soap for bathing and washing.

Thinhs are really expensive and i understand that you are trying. Also underatabd that your hubby is trying too. Liase with people in your church, group or even friends and buy in bulk (crayfish, beans, dry fish etc.) and share. It helps a whole lot. If you have 50 cups of rice, it will not finish in one month for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, do you get? You can include cloth diapers too. If DSTV is part of the 60k, just pay for the minimum for the children. The truth is Naija is tough right now and we have to restrategize. I hope this helps.
