She wanted to step out yesterday, Sunday and felt confused about the car to drive out.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has instructed all its members nationwide to reduce petroleum pump price from N145 per litre to N140.

In a statement signed by the National President of the association, Elder Chinedu Okworonkwo, the decision followed the Saturday’s last-minute postponement of presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to him, Nigerians travelled to different places across the country to cast their votes, but to their dismay, the election was shifted to Feb. 23.

“IPMAN was prompted to slash N5 from the N145 per litre official Petroleum pump price in a bid to motivate Nigerians to return to vote again on Feb. 23.

“We urge all our members across Nigeria to immediately reduce the fuel pump price from N145 per litre to N140 per litre.


“This is because of the political situation that hit the country after INEC suddenly announced the postponement of presidential and National Assembly elections after Nigerians were fully prepared.


“We are all aware how Nigerians travelled to different parts of the country in order to exercise their civic duty; unfortunately, they heard a sad news of postponement of the polls,” Okworonkwo said.

He said, “This made us deem it fit to reduce the pump price in order to ease their suffering, and to also motivate them to travel again to exercise their franchise on Feb. 23.”

He, therefore, urged his members nationwide to immediately comply with the directive to enable Nigerians to travel to exercise their civic responsibility.

Okworonkwo maintained that the IPMAN’s decision followed President Muhammadu Buhari’s concern over the election postponement.

“We decided to express our concern over the postponement, as president Buhari expressed concern over the development.

“As Buhari apologised to Nigerians to show restraint and return to polling units on Feb. 23, IPMAN also call on the citizens to exercise patience and come out en mass to cast their votes on the rescheduled date,” Okworonkwo said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of IPMAN in Kano state, North West Zonal chairman, Alhaji Bashir Dan-Malam and Bashir Salisu-Tahir have urged their members to ensure strict compliance with the directive.

After being called out on social media, Davido apologies for body shaming a lady who attacked him over his political views and affiliation.

Barrister Temi (T.lolo) has rejected the apology Davido tendered after realizing he was wrong.

Davido, in a lengthy post on his social media explained that Temi and her man knows him personally and could have easily reached out to him privately but she opted for calling him out online and that hurt him uncontrollably.

Ghanaian songstress, Sista Afia has disclosed that there is money in the music industry and only lazy musicians will complain that there is no money in the industry.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is currently trending at no 1 world wide on micro blogging site Twitter.

This is coming after news of the initially scheduled Presidential and National Assembly Election were officially postponed around past 2am(Nigerian Time) this morning.

Professor Yakubu Mahmood made the announcement while most Nigerian across the company where still sleeping.
In his official Press release he said :

"The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) met on Friday, 15th of February 2019 and reviewed its preparations for the 2019 General Elections scheduled for Saturday, 16" February 2019 and Saturday, 2nd March 2019.

Following a careful review of the implementation of its logistics and operational plan and the determination to conduct free, fair and credible elections, the Commission came to the conclusion that proceeding with the elections as scheduled is no longer feasible.

Consequently, the Commission has decided to reschedule the Presidential and National Assembly Elections to Saturday, 23rd February 2019.

Furthermore, the Governorship, State House of Assembly and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Elections is rescheduled to Saturday 9" March 2019. This will afford the Commission the opportunity to address identified challenges in order to maintain the quality of our elections.

This was a difficult decision for the Commission to take, but necessary for the successful delivery of the elections and the consolidation of our democracy.

The Commission will meet key stakeholders to update them on this development at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 16" February 2019 at the Abuja International Conference Centre."

Just In: VP #Osinbajo escapes death as the helicopter carrying him crash lands at Kabba township stadium in Kogi State.

A Nigerian Air Force helicopter carrying Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has crashed immediately after take off at Kabba on Saturday.


According to a tweet shared by Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity, Laolu Akande, “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.”

Nigerian singer, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, has explained why she accepted her first movie role.

The singer debuted as an actor in ‘Tunnel’, alongside Femi Jacobs, Patrick Doyle, Nse Ikpe-Etim, among others in 2018.

In a chat with Showtime, the singer explained why she accepted her first movie role. According to her…

“I accepted my first movie role because when I read the script I fell in love with it. I felt it was an interesting story. I was curious as to how I would play the role because I was to play the role of a lady, Sade, who was married, and I’ve never been married.

So, it was interesting to find out how I was going to play the role. It was also about the message in the role, I just wanted to know, and I think it was just curiosity”, she said.

According to her, her first time experience on set was amazing but scary.

“It was amazing because I was scared at first, but I tried my best. Nse Ikpe-Etim is like a big sister to me, she has always been a good friend so she guided me all through. She literally coached me as we went on. She and Femi Jacobs made it an easy task for me.”

Speaking on the media establishment, she recently partnered with Omaumi to set up, she said;

“Hermanes Media has been in existence before now but it wasn’t a formal transaction. We used to come up with ideas so we just thought that it doesn’t make sense if two people are this creative, have been in the industry and have so much to offer and we don’t do it.

We’ve been talking about it for a while so we decided that it’s time we formalize it. You know it gets to a point as a musician that it’s not necessarily about the music, we have more we want to offer our listeners? So Hermanes Media would be a good way to offer more to our listeners”, she said.

Liverpool star player, Mohamed Salah has deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The Egyptian deleted both accounts after he made a tweet which confused many of his fans.

Estimated billing by the Electricity Distribution Companies has officially been criminalized by the House of Representatives.

News reports revealed that a bill for an Act amending the Electric Power Reform Act to prohibit and criminalise estimated billing by the Electricity Distribution Companies, was passed on Tuesday, January 21, 2019.

The decision was made during a meeting at the floor of the house, which was led by the Deputy speaker, Hon Yussuf Lasun, after it was reportedly read for the third time by the Clerk.

The bill was unanimously voted after being sponsored by the Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila.

According to the reports, the bill containing sections in which the normal estimation of energy used by customers who are yet to be supplied pre-paid meters by the distribution companies, made it through public hearing on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.


While speaking during the meeting, Gbajabiamila noted that electricity has never been billed arbitrarily anywhere in the world.


“Any regulation that allows estimation of bills when the actual consumption can be ascertained is against natural justice and equity and should not stand.”

He insisted that the newly passed bill would end the era of estimated billing by the DisCos.
