RightChannel:A typical trinitarian! What is your definition of segregated school? What is the difference between segregated and single sex education? What is wrong with segregated school? Are special schools segregated schools? What is right with single sex education? |
RightChannel:Nop. What i meant was show that there are more muslims from any Muslim Nation in America than there are in the Muslim nation. Eg. Prove that there are more Nigerian or Afganistan Muslims in USA than there are in Nigeria or Afganistan. Then i will agree Muslims are running to the West. |
RightChannel:Do mean there are 3.3 million Qataris in USA and 1.17 million in Qatar? You funny! |
RightChannel:Sorry i am not that daft. I only wanted you to check your "Sokoto" before going to "Sokoto". Anyways check these schools; Al-Noor Academy. Noor-Ul-Iman School. Austin Peace Academy. Islamic School of Irving. Darul Arqam School. Al-Huda School. Islamic Foundation School. Eman Schools. |
RightChannel:In Nigeria: St Finbarr's College King's College Queen's College St Andrew's Secondary School St Mary's Catholic Model School St Peter's Secondary School and more.... I guess these schools are gifts from Afganistan or Saudi Arabia to Nigeria |
RightChannel:You trinitarians are always quick to say Afgans/Muslims are running to America and the West. Prove that there are more Afgans/Muslims in America or the West than there are in Afganistans or any Muslim country for that matter. I am waiting... |
Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has said that the country needs Christian leaders who are spiritually equipped to be used as catalysts of transformation in the country as well as fresh educational tools equipped for church leadership in Africa and Nigeria in particular. This is a challenge and an admonition to all Christians. He disclosed this during the 30th/31st convocation ceremony and the 32nd-anniversary ceremony of the West Africa Theological Seminary, WATS, held in Lagos. Represented by Barr. Felix Eshalomi, Omo-Agege who spoke on the theme, “Global vision, Global mission: Agenda for Excellence in Global Leadership Through Theological Education”, explained that the change in global Christianity has brought about the need to assess the effectiveness of theological education in today’s world. According to him, theological education has become a global enterprise that is gaining ground both in importance and in complexity as Christianity expands not only in Nigeria and Africa but the world in general. “This rapid expansion calls for a parallel advancement in equipping leaders who can guide with wisdom in the coming decades. “Mission leaders are called to be world-class global leaders equipped to serve in diverse, non-active communities within and beyond the traditional boundaries. “The State and the church must of necessity become partners in the current drive to rid the society of every worrisome tendency. “The seminary remains the bedrock of Christian education, with its curriculum and learning experiences geared towards a holistic formation and the cultivation of excellence in character and in learning. “During the past five decades, the heartland of global Christianity has shifted to the Southern hemisphere. ”This places the responsibility of future Christianity predominantly in the hands of church leaders in these regions. It is crucial to reflect on how effective theological education is to producing completed church leaders, especially in Africa”, he said. Omo-Agege, however, in his address observed that lack of a good road network might impede smooth operations of the seminary in the coming years. He then promised to rehabilitate the Olakunle Akinola street at Akinyele bus stop, Ipaja, in Ipaja/Ayobo area of Lagos, the road that leads to the seminary school. He assured the management of WATS of the readiness of the federal government to fix the road within twelve months. “My pledge is that the rehabilitation of the road will be done in collaboration with the Lagos State government. “Let me use this medium to assure WATS that we will join forces together to rehabilitate the road for the sake of WATS but if the state government did not support us, the federal government will do it before the end of another calendar year. “Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and I went to the same, the University of Benin, we know how to build on this relationship”, he said. Meanwhile, the Provost of WATS, Pastor Olufemi Martins, who earlier urged the Federal and Lagos State governments to rehabilitate the Olakunle Akinola road at Akinyele bus stop, Ipaja in Ipaja/Ayobo area of Lagos. He made the call during the 30th and 31st convocation ceremony of 2020/2021 graduating students of the school on Saturday, last week. Martins noted that WATS as one of the largest non-denominational theological seminaries in Nigeria has trained men and women for holy living for the purpose of reaching the unreached through the gospel of Christ with the efforts to bring about national and continental spiritual awakening. “WATS trains ministers from over the 100 denominations and one time had minsters in training from over 14 African nations”, he hinted. Despite the successes, the Provost lamented that the major challenge of WATS is accessible to the seminary through the Olakunle Akinola road/Emma Lou Maxey Avenue which become impassable with the arrival of the rains. According to him, “We struggle to raise funds towards some remedial rehabilitation but when that became difficult, we gave up. “In 2017, WATS has single-handedly with approval of the Ipaja/Ayobo LCDA embarked on rehabilitation of the road but our efforts are not enough. We need the intervention of the State government as the road has become almost unmotorable. http://vanguardngr.com/ |
“The 9/11 generation is stepping up to serve and protect in the face of terror … to show everyone seeking to do harm to the America that we will hunt you down and we will make you pay." National unity U.S.’ greatest strength, says Biden on 9/11 20th anniversary “The 9/11 generation is stepping up to serve and protect in the face of terror … to show everyone seeking to do harm to the America that we will hunt you down and we will make you pay." President Joe Biden has described national unity as the United States’ greatest strength in a video commemorating the 20th anniversary of the al-Qaeda attacks on September 11 which left nearly 3,000 people dead. “In the days that followed Sept. 11, 2001, we saw heroism everywhere, in places expected and unexpected. “We also saw something all too rare: a true sense of national unity,” Biden said in a video message posted on Twitter on Friday evening. “In the battle for the soul of America, unity is our greatest strength. Unity doesn’t mean we have to believe the same thing, but we must have a fundamental respect and faith in each other and in this nation,” the president said. “The 9/11 generation is stepping up to serve and protect in the face of terror … to show everyone seeking to do harm to the America that we will hunt you down and we will make you pay. “That will never stop,” Biden said. The president said that “the darker forces of human nature” also emerged following the attacks, namely “fear and anger.” “Resentment and violence against Muslim Americans, true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion,” he said. But the country cannot allow itself to be divided. “Unity is what makes us who we are – America at its best.” White House spokesperson Jen Psaki, said that on Saturday, the president and the first lady would “honor and memorialise the lives lost with travel to all three sites of the 9/11 attacks, visiting New York City; Shanksville, Pennsylvania; and the Pentagon.” The president was set to visit ground zero in New York City, the Pentagon and the memorial outside Shanksville, where one of the four hijacked planes crashed after passengers attempted to regain control of the aircraft, the White House said. The al-Qaeda plane hijackings were the single worst attack on U.S soil in the country’s history. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/484276-national-unity-u-s-greatest-strength-says-biden-on-9-11-20th-anniversary.html# |
“There is no town you will visit in Nigeria without seeing the Igbos being in charge of economic activities.” eptember 11, 2021 2 min read ADVERTISEMENT President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday praised the Igbos’ “enterprising” spirit, saying that it is evidenced they are “in charge of Nigeria’s economy”. Mr Buhari stated this in a thank you message to the people and government of Imo State which he posted on his Facebook page after his Thursday’s visit to the South-east state. Imo State is considered to be the hub of the pro-Biafra group, IPOB’s operations in the region. Mr Buhari was in the state for a one-day working visit to inaugurate projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration. The president, while in Imo, had preached the importance of peace for the state, the South-east region, and Nigeria. In the Facebook message afterwards, the president said the Igbos were “truly the most enterprising”. “There is no town you will visit in Nigeria without seeing the Igbos being in-charge of economic activities. The evidence is there for everyone to see, that Igbos are in charge of Nigeria’s economy. economic activities. The evidence is there for everyone to see, that Igbos are in charge of Nigeria’s economy. “It is, therefore, unthinkable for me that any Igbo man would consider himself not to be a part of Nigeria,” said President Buhari. The president said he was pleased with the development projects in Imo, promised to support the state and the region, and thanked the government and people of Imo State for the warm reception. “The Federal Government will complete all ongoing key projects in the South-east, including the 2nd Niger Bridge, and other major highways, as well as the railway lines and routes linking the region with other parts of the country,” he added. The agitation for an independent republic of Biafra, led mainly by IPOB which has been proscribed by the Nigerian government, has led to killings and destruction in the South-east for some years now. The IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is currently detained in Abuja where he is on trial for treason. President Buhari’s message here, quite reconciliatory in tone, is a complete departure from his tough-talking remarks in the past. However, it is unclear, for now, what impact this may have on the Biafra agitation. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-east/484262-igbos-in-charge-of-nigerias-economy-buhari.html#

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari yesterday told the leaders of the South-East that It is unthinkable for any Igbo man to consider himself not being part of Nigeria. President Buhari also said without peace there is nothing anyone can do no matter how much the person tries. President Buhari also told the people that he would want to be remembered as the President who stabilised Nigeria in the area of security, economic prosperity and triumph over corruption. This is as the President also said that nobody can accuse him of having companies or mansions anywhere in the country and that he tries to keep himself as clean as possible so that he cannot be taken, hostage. President Buhari, who spoke at a town hall meeting with South-East leaders during his one-day official visit to Imo State, said with less than two years left in his eight-year tenure as President, security still remains a major priority for his administration. A statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity quoted Buhari to have said, ‘‘If there is no security, there is nothing anyone can do no matter how much you try or the initiative you have. ‘‘Security is the number one priority and then the economy. When people feel secure they will mind their own business.” He told South-East leaders that while fighting corruption in Nigeria had become very sophisticated and difficult, he would continue to strive to leave a lasting legacy of integrity and accountability in the system. According to him, ‘‘Nobody can accuse me of having companies or mansions anywhere in the country and I thank God that I try to keep myself as clean as possible so that I cannot be taken, hostage. ‘‘I will do my best to ensure that Nigerians that try hard, succeed in their efforts.” On the forthcoming 2023 elections, the President reaffirmed his commitment to free, fair and credible polls, urging the leaders to honestly educate their constituencies on the need to hold their elected representatives accountable. Acknowledging the resourcefulness and enterprising spirit of Igbo people, the President said: ‘‘The fundamental thing about the Igbo people is that there is no town you will visit in Nigeria without seeing the Igbos being in charge of either infrastructure or pharmaceutical industry. ‘‘Therefore, it is unthinkable for me that any Igbo man would consider himself not to be a part of Nigeria. ‘‘The evidence is there for everyone to see that Igbos are in charge of Nigeria’s economy.’’ Noting that no country can make any meaningful progress without the development of infrastructure, the President expressed regret that successive governments at the Federal level contributed to the decay of critical infrastructure in the country. He promised that the Federal Government would complete ongoing key projects in the South East, including the 2nd Niger Bridge as well as the railway lines and routes linking the region with other parts of the country. ‘‘I firmly believe that when you get infrastructure right, Nigerians will mind their own businesses,’’ he said, adding that as a group, the Igbos stand to benefit more from the ongoing development of infrastructure in the country because ‘‘they are more enterprising.’’ President Buhari had earlier commissioned four projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma, including the Naze/Ihiagwa/Nekede/Obinze link road, the Balloon Driven/Flood Control drainage at Dick Tiger Road, the Egbeada Bypass road and the New Exco-Chambers, Government House, Owerri. Addressing Imo residents at the commissioning of Egbeada bypass named after a prominent son of the State, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President said he was very impressed with the level of work done by the State government. ‘‘I am very pleased with what I have seen and I assure you that I will support Imo State within the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,’’ he said. In his remarks at the town hall meeting, Governor Uzodinma said Ndigbo believe in a united Nigeria predicated on ‘‘justice, equity and fairness.’’ He thanked the President for addressing the interests of Ndi Igbo through deliberate policy initiatives designed to give the people a true sense of belonging, including the ongoing construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge, among others. Governor Uzodinma said the people of South-East would remain grateful to the President for approving the establishment of a Naval Base in Oguta Local Government Area of the State, adding that as time unfolds, the economic benefits of the base would manifest. The Governor also commended the President for strongly supporting the appointment of two prominent Igbos into two key international organisations-Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, Assistant Director-General of Health Emergency Intelligence, World Health Organisation (WHO). In his remarks, the President-General, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof. George Obiozor assured the President of the continuous support of Ndigbo. ‘‘Ndigbo is committed to Nigerian unity and there is news for those trying to push us out of Nigeria. ‘‘Ndigbo in Nigeria are like fish in the ocean and no matter how rough the storm is, it cannot drive the fish out of the ocean. ‘‘Mr President, it is in this context, that we see a new dawn in your distinguished presence in Igbo land and believe that on your return to Abuja the significance and substance of this visit will form a new foundation of a platform for meaningful dialogue on critical issues of concern to the Igbo nation,’’ he said. http://vanguardngr.com/
