olystic: It's quite unfair because sending transcript from school was not part of the requirement. I only uploaded a scanned copy of my transcript.I mailed them for further explanationwhy i was assessed as unsuccessful and the reply was that my school did not reply them when they tried to verifly my academic records. very useless school I knew that was the case. What you have to do now is to contest it(I have forgotten how they call it). You will have to pay additional cost for that, then tell your school or whoever is in charge beforehand. |

olystic: Hello good people I just got my MSA assessment result as unsseccessful from TRA. This was stated as the reason
This letter confirms that Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) has assessed your skills under the TRA Migration Skills Assessment Program. Your application has been assessed as UNSUCCESSFUL for the occupation of Fitter (General) – 323211 for the following reasons: Most times this is caused by only one thing. Your transcript not getting to them in the stipulated time before your cause was finalised. You have to confirm from your school if your transcript was sent and from the carrier if it was delivered. |

wazilo: Good evening all, please am confuse and need clarification concerning my chosen occupation due to the "pro-rata" occupations issues. I have worked as project engineer under mechanical and I studied metallurgical and materials engineering....please I need a lead on the one I should assess with as I get documents to covered dem. The one you should assess for is the one with more opportunities for state nomination. As it stands, mechanical is better. But do your research and make an informed decision. |

flyca: Thanks for replying. They did not provide any physical address, one and two is that you cannot proceed to the next webpage without uploading your transcript. My school does not give ecopy of transcript - UNN. You are good to go if you already have the hard copy. Just scan and upload. They rarely ask for it to be sent to them except they suspect it might not be genuine. |

Tadell: PLEASE HELP! I collected my original waec certificate yesterday from waec for the purpose of processing my visa. But behold a very big mistake in my data; THEY CHANGED MY GENDER TO FEMALE INSTEAD OF MALE! Please what should I do? I'm depressed. I think you can swear an affidavit to that effect... But if i may ask, why did they request for your WAEC certificate and which visa class? |

pdlibra: - I explained that my state does not issue out such card. Also mentioned that Lagos state only recently commenced issuing it out but other states in Nigeria are yet to follow suit.
Less than 48 hours after i responded, I got the positive assessment for all my experience and degree. To God be the glory.
Please keep your faith alive, it will definitely happen. Congratulations... Those who are ready to read should know about this stunt. |

please, kindly help as i cant just sleep anymore, i cant wait to leave nigeria for better. From the HND information we have, your best bet is assessing with TRA as a mechanical engineering draftsman or technician. So try to read about their requirements for assessment with the zeal you have about leaving Nigeria. |

Tlontin: Hello pls I have this important question to ask; I'm a civil engineer, I qualify for the stream 190 visa. My issue is about the assessment body. I have a four years experience in construction but this four years I had is a mini construction company I started myself:I don't pay myself salary or have a pay slip, how do I submit my evidence of employment and experience. Without mincing words, you can't claim self employment points for a company that's not registered. If you decide to register it now, it can't count backwards for you, and again you don't have any third party document. Just assess your qualification using school project and try to get 20 in English, even with 10 in English(which is the minimum) you can get nomination from different states on 190 and 489. |

Grangemor: Dears,
I had 8.5, 8, 7.5, 6 in my LRSW respectively. Do you think I have a chance with Australia immigration and how can I calculate my scores?
thanks You score is zero (0), however, you still have a chance for Australia immigration if you take the test again and get at least 7.0 in all bands. |

Akachukwu123: Yes bro! You can get a positive assessment without bank statements. Provide evidence like pay slips with your company's letter head and let your boss write with same letter headed paper. You MAY not even require points from work experience to get ITA.
Cheers Yeah, if he is not thinking about 189. If he is, then that experience point is needed badly. |

Cottyekundayo: Once I was completing the GTE for Curtin University, deep down me self de laugh say which kind rubbish questions be this; these folks think say I plan leave Australia after masters? Na the idea of the related, GTE and SOP be this oo... To show say you go come back. Come back fire! We die dia |

Cottyekundayo: Chaye. . . I have attached a picture to depict a scenario. This is even with an admissions officer who wasn't convinced of how A is related to B. Se na admissions officer wan lecture ? Abi na she write course plan... But they don't just give a F!. That's why the sop is needed to establish a relationship between what an individual has done and intends to do. Having encountered a lot of international students here in AU, I think writing a convincing sop should even be a must aside the GTE; what the CO or in some cases admission officer wants to see is that you can express yourself as a student. I think I get the gist now. Strong SOP is paramount. |

wazilo: @michaelamo please as I have worked as a facilities engineer previously which also in list and I graduated as met/mat engineer,Please how do I go about the occupation of choice.should I go for facilities manager in vetassesd or met/mat engineer under EA? Any of the occupation you go for should be your choice. One thing you have to take note of is the demand of that occupation in general. While one might have option from 189 to 489, the other might be restricted to just 189 or 189 and 190. Then the number of states nominating that very occupation. You need to put all these into consideration before making your choice. |

horlakay: hello everyone ........i had my first degree in metallurgical and material engineering and i just applied for masters in manufacturing engineering at RMIT. pls would this combinations guarantee a PR thanks My brother, you are good to go. There is no other better choice than this. Metallurgy and Material engineering is no different from Mechanical and Production engineering. I studied production engineering first degree and a masters in industrial engineering. As you can see, all these occupation I mentioned now are interrelated. You can't really separate Production engineering from Manufacturing. So with a masters in manufacturing you can write an episode in both mechanical and production/plant engineering. My episodes were from my production and industrial engineering degree and the positive sharp die . |

Cottyekundayo: OGA, the relationship of the course is a big concern to CO ; And there is a link between chemical engineering and environmental engineering. Once I read on this thread an applicant studied geology or so for bachelors, and applied for masters of social works.... Em eyes open @ last. Madam, the thing weak me oo. Hence I said logically e nor suppose concern CO na. Na CO give you admission? Na CO won lecture you? Wetin come concern am? |

nonsam1: My profile is chemistry BSc.Been working as a chemist and laboratory officer in the last 5 years now which some jobs are analysing environmental stuff s like water...soil...chemical products for 5. Now was considering masters in environmental related field so I want to verify if it will be deemed related field especially by visa officers.Or if I must go for a masters in chemistry as someone said you do a masters in line with first degree. I don't really know how this school thing works. But going by the norm, if a school gives you admission to study, how is the relationship of the course a concern for the visa officer? I have a friend who did chemical engineering first degree and he is doing his masters in environmental engineering on Griffin University Queensland. Can we say these two are actually related? If he was accepted, I believe yours should be accepted as well. Again, the idea is to study a course that's in demand for PR. I think that should be the major concern. |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Michaelamo: 10:39pm On May 10, 2018 |
nonsam1: Thats the reason I considered school .
I want to ensure the course I am choosing will be deemed related to my first degree. What do you think? . I'm really sorry about that. I only have idea on PR process, I don't know the " chemistry" related occupation you checked on the list. But if none could work for you, then the school option is very ok. I need to know your profile and the choice you want to choose for your masters in order to know if it's related. Cheers mate. |
