Ventura1:You now see why I questioned the kind of education you received. Where did I ever insinuate that I support mediocre leaders? So your way of discouraging mediocrity is by attacking them in the streets? What if someone had died during the chaos? You'd probably start blaming Buhari, while Nnamdi goes underground again. Do you even care that those miscreants that attacked Ekweremadu might be facing serious criminal charges? Well,I know you wouldn't bother about that. All you care about is your primitive jungle justice. |
Ventura1:Your comment made me wonder the sort of education your likes receive. So to you, jungle justice is right? I'm ashamed of you. |
SoftP:I know your type : you're the average crass and brash tout that has been disgracing the Igbo nation everywhere. Keep on supporting rubbish, reasonable investors will continue shunning your primitive land and investing in sane regions. You're doing yourself. |
SirVintageCock:Oga is this how enlightened hold their leaders accountable? Do you guys ever pause and reason? It's exactly this same brash reasoning that led to the deaths of millions of Igbos during the war,and after, you starting screaming genocide. When the relative peace you're currently enjoying in the southeast finally erodes you, that's when you'll understand. Keep on supporting primitive jungle justice. What goes around, comes around. |
helinues:Sadly, this your point will make no meaning to already brainwashed IPOBs. They would never sit down and carefully consider the implications of their action before carrying them out. I'm honestly beginning to think that there's a kind of mass hypnotism on some Igbos. If by tomorrow, they are indiscriminately shunned and targeted for political exclusion, they would start shouting 'marginalization!' Why attack someone who has been at the forefront of speaking out for them and defending them - one of the few and finest they have? This is crass stupidity and primitivity. |
Oh,this is how they intend to run their Biafra - a land of lawlessness filled with primitive people ? Where certain people will be targeted for jungle justice? OK,we're watching. |
IPOBs goofed on this big time. Imagine attacking one of the finest you have like a common criminal on the street abroad? This particular incident is a major dent on the Igbo nation and will paint Igbos as uncultured primitive people. It's even enough to discourage any potential investor on southeast. Now,with this act,the Fg can justify the proscription of IPOB ( touts who claim they are peaceful) as terrorist to the world. The world is watching. |
billbonesmd:I no blame you. You're one of the uncultured touts disgracing the Igbo nation everywhere. |
DannyCool1:My brother, I just tire for these people o. A lot people seemed to have let go of their senses. Imagine justifying such disgraceful act. Tomorrow, you'll hear them wailing against xenophobism, whereas, they support same jungle justice against their own people. |
DejiSantos:Oya na,continue attacking your people on the streets and be calling it revolt or whatever you wish to call it. What goes around, finally comes around. The world is watching you. |
DejiSantos:So who is the judge? IPOB? They are to decide who is corrupt and who is not? And why even by jungle justice? When you feel that the politicians are the problem and not the 'civilians' and you attack them on the streets, another person in another country, say South Africa, may feel that 'civilians' from other countries and not politicians are the problem, and attack them. This is what xenophobism is. Remember that Igbos are many in almost all the countries in the world. The world is watching. cc gidgiddy |
Joecool88:When you say 'corrupt politicians',you should know that's a blanket statement. Be more specific. Is Sen. Ekweremadu one of the corrupt politicians? And who found him guilty of corruption? IPOB? You haven't fully grasped the extent of damage that singular act on Ekweremadu would do on Ndigbo as a nation. I tell you that this is one of the most disgraceful and reprehensible actions ever, and should be totally condemned. Do you know the extent of damage it has even done on Igbo culture? Do you know that act is capable of chasing away would-be investors on southeast? What if that man had been seriously injured, do you think an Enugu man would be happy with and Abia man (where Nnamdi Kanu is from)? Do you know that attack is capable of causing mini tribal war in Igboland? I thought they said IPOB was peaceful, then why attack an innocent man that came even on behalf of Igbos? Do you know the Fg can latch on that act and justify the proscription of IPOB? If Igbos can met out jungle justice to one of theirs on the street abroad, who would speak out for the Igbos in other countries when they face xenophobism? Tufiakwa! |
SoftP:Your comment is shameful and borne out of pure ignorance and childishness. What happened to Ekweremadu by IPOBs should be totally condemned by any sound person. Sen. Ekweremadu is a father; what if he was fatally injured during the attack? I believe you have a father also and you wish to be a father someday, would you encourage such an attack on your father or on you? |
This is utterly disgraceful. It is what you get when a section of people refuse to heed to sound advice from people who mean well for them and believe they know it all. Now look at this: you want Biafra, yet you go about destroying the same structures and people that could help you get your Biafra - even your own people. You now see why a lot of people are not comfortable with this Biafra thing? A country that that could degenerate to crass lawlessness. Igbos should start reorientating their young ones; start impacting positive characters, aspirations and values that the great Igbo was once known for. @ gidgiddy. |
gidgiddy:I took my time and went through the links you posted, there's nothing there to get someone unnecessarily worried. About 2 of the sources reported same isolated incident that happened last year, while the rest are nothing serious. Ebonyi state has been relatively peaceful. Like I told you earlier, call anybody you know there and ask him/her. Now,the point is not about the legality of the proscription, no. It is not even whether Boko haram, militants and others should be proscribed. The fact is that IPOB has been proscribed, and it becomes unlawful for anyone to gather under the group for burial discussion, marriage discussion, or anything. Do you expect the security agencies to just sit back, fold their hands and watch a "terrorist group" hold meeting right under their nose? You see, there are certain issues we should learn to approach without sentiments. IPOB might be a peaceful group, but there could be people out there(could be anybody sponsored by anybody) waiting to seize any opportunity to cause chaos. At the end of the day what happens? People could lose their lives yet again, properties destroyed and who would be held responsible? Is that the sort of thing you want? |
gidgiddy:Bro,you're getting your news from the wrong source. Ebonyi state has been relatively peaceful with regards to Fulani herdsmen attack. Ask anybody who resides in Ebonyi State about that. I don't see any need to start heating up the polity more than it is already. Since the IPOB case is still in court, why gather - for any reason- on the aegis of IPOB? Like I mentioned earlier, the ordinary citizens will bear the brunt if things go out of control? Who guarantees that? Is it Nnamdi KANU safely tucked away abroad or Uwazurike that can run away at any time and deny the ones culpable? |
Good one, if this is true.
I encourage other core northern states to follow suit. |
I see some people up there castigating Umahi for this. No sane governor wants his state to be thrown into rancour. This group has been proscribed as a terrorist group, why would you now knowingly be associated with them? The security agencies are there to do their job against such people. What IPOB should have done is to challenge the proscription in court, while all affected parties maintain status quo. There are mischievous people around waiting for the slightest opportunity to unleash mayhem on innocent people. Why give them such opportunity? |
This is amazing! Alternative green energy source is the way to go currently. This alone has thousands of positive impact on Nigeria as a country; from increased revenue, job creation, cleaner energy source, healthy environment to cheaper raw materials for production. I wish to commend the Fg for this. Thumbs up. |
OP,if the president gets disqualified, then Atiku will be sworn in. It is as simple as that. That is exactly why you have first runner up,second runner up,third runner up etc. Disqualification of the president simply implies that the party ticket is nullified;of course, the party ticket bears Buhari and Osibanjo. Don't misconstrue it with impeachment, in which case the vice president takes over. |
This woman is one of the many educated idiots we have in this country. A hypocrite to the core. I wonder how her likes sleep at night with such weight of hypocrisy on their chest. The same Buhari and APC she has been criticizing and calling all sorts of name now was the same person and party she helped and foisted on Nigerians. If she had been given a post in this government, I doubt she would be here today foaming in the mouth all over the place against Buhari. She's a classic example of what our young girls shouldn't aspire to be. |
Well structured fable. |
"....because his action is a threat to national security..." This Buhari government take style mumu small shaa. Everything is now a threat to national security. If you find the video offensive, simply ban the video and save the rest of us from listening to your dimwitted rants! |
Why do black Africans go to these racist countries? You know very well these Arabs hate you and yet you still go there expecting sympathy from the world. If you can't get access to countries that would value you, then by all means stay back in your countries and help develop them. If every Nigerian should runaway, who would make Nigeria work? Shun all these hateful countries! In fact, shun their religions too! |
This is politics in Nigeria. If an alliance with north can produce Igbo presidency in no too distant time and would likely save the country from the pitiable state it is,then it is welcomed. After all, some other regions have been at the helm of affairs with practically nothing to show for it. |
If it was DSS that arrested him in Nigeria, you'd see a lot of dumb professors and fake human right activists calling for his release unconditionally, yet they still "want" the country to develop like UK and USA. At least, the madness disturbing him will be calm down a bit. |
Discharge him on what ground? Is the Fg also the Judiciary? It's only the Judiciary that has the authority to discharge him if they don't find him wanting on any charge. Someone can not just come out and threaten to overthrow a government illegally by any guise and you expect him not to be questioned by the authority. If it's like that, do you think you'd even have a country called "Nigeria"? |
Lovelive:Nah! When J.F. Kennedy made that statement, America was basically like every other average country in the world. The leaders you blame for all the wrong things in Nigeria are not aliens; they are human beings and Nigerians just like you and I. What that statement means is that all hands must be on deck to make a country work; be it politician, public servant, private individuals, etc. If Nigeria is not working, don't just blame only the leaders. The leaders are products of the bad system. |
"...Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.” John F. Kennedy. Jan 20,1961. |
Hmmm. I don't even know what to say about this. Thousands die daily from rituals? Maybe the Fg should just declare state of emergency in South west. |
He made some salient points.
Truth be told: Tinubu is intelligent. |
