Government isn't a profit making venture. As a growing nation,we can not suffer epileptic power supply and still go ahead to liberlise the one thing that keeps driving the nation (petrol). What will happen is that over time, the middle class will be wiped clean and the rich will get insanely richer.

Fix power (policies are the major quagmire not funding) and then make it cheaper before removal of petroleum subsidy. Most of our petrol and diesel consumption go straight into providing electricity to power the economy. When you make electricity scarce, the diesel and petrol expensive, how then do you expect the economy to grow and expand?

With what is happening, you're giving reason to our best brains to japa to the established societies which is another form of slavery. First form of slavery was forceful and we grew their sugar plantation and their economy exploded as a result,now we're going back there ourselves. And before you blame the citizens for not being patriotic, remember that man is only patriotic to himself and his welfare. It's an evolutionary trait to seek out better environment to thrive and grow
