The problem with Nigeria politicians are not the politicians themselves but praise singers like you who they surround themselves with.

What is wrong with what they asked? Can you fault their argument? What business does the government have with building hotels? Why not use the money to build the important infrastructure like power, roads and stuff

That’s great. But not everyone can be in that position. That’s why instead of blaming other parents who don’t have a choice but to entrust their young kids to daycare so they can go earn a living, we should hold the daycare centers to higher standards

until the daycare standards rise, safeguard your own kids your own way.

I know people who have no business going out daily but will dump kids at daycare with the excuse of leaving the stress. In my opinion,if you earn 150k monthly, you have no reason to leave your child at daycare especially for a state in Lagos where transportation will eat at least 40% of your salary.

Earning significantly from home while also being the stay home partner is spoken like someone who’s never cared for an infant a day in their lives. Unless you’re not actually doing the work. Nobody will pay you significantly for sitting at home and pretending to work while in reality you are tending to a crying baby every 30 minutes, changing a diaper every 2 hours. Rocking the baby to sleep, feeding the baby every 3 hours then burping them for 10 minutes after that . Keeping them entertained or they’ll start screaming.

Infants are a full time job. Realistically working from home while nursing an infant is easier to say than do. Only people who don’t know what’s involved speak flippantly about it like this

while I understand your major concerns being money, parenting and career can never be balanced. One person must be stay at home if you value your kids and their lives. If you prioritize your career, avoid parenting.
