On leave and decided to visit my village to c my relatives and grandma. Went with some crisp 1000naira bills I had withdrawn from an ATM in Lagos. 2days at my village home, a shop owner woke the compound up by 6am, that a Lagos guy that stays here had come back to the village with fake 1000 naira bills. I was so shocked I almost gave the man a slap. I took a look at the fake bill and it was actually fake. But it wasnt mine as my bills had successive serial numbers. I asked how much he made the day he noticed the fake bill. He told me 3500. He had deposited the rest and this one was spotted as fake by the bank. So he had 3 1000naira bills as part of the days sales... but he assumed that only Lagos based pple cld carry fake bills. I brought out 40,000 naira and showed him all the serial numbers were successive. My grandma advised I give him another as the villagers are known to be trouble makers... She however cursed the guy so badly that he almost refused to collect d new bill. When I wanted to destroy the fake bill, he asked that he needed it so as to paste in his shop as sample... I then accused him of been a swindler that cheats to get money off pple that came home for a visit and that his fake 1000 bill was the bait. As I destroyed it, i noticed he was very sad.

Was a very embarrassing experience

Well Bro, you sound educated. But know that with rise in sea levels globally, any little surge wld be felt by coast lines with little or no chance of experiencing this in the past. Lagos coast area is now between 0.3 to barely 2m above LCD. Even if the surge travels from Australia, there is a possibility of hitting previously undisturbed coastlines. This has been monitored for the past 4years. I speak as an authority on this. You can check with Fugro and seabed for data relating to hurricanes in the Caribbean that caused the storm on the 17/08/2012 in Kuramo. I suggest all heed the early warning. Its only a prediction. And the probability is 70%.

Both the citizens and government of Nigeria r too blame for alot of issues facing this country. A case study: Last week a fuel tanker was on fire on the Lagos Ibadan expressway. About 7 smaller vehichle and 3 trailers were caught by the fire. While Fire service trucks were rushing to rescue, other road users had caused major traffic by blocking even bushes with there cars in a bid to hurry and continue there journey. This caused a gangster kind of traffic that lasted 6hours. While the government r make facilities such as roads and other provisions, citizen can help by been responsible and obey simple laws and instructions. Alot of vase studies abound. Same in aviation, sports, and other sectors of the economy.
