YorubaHighness:I would love to see SW generally. Please open a new thread. I don't care about SE. |
YorubaHighness:Are this pictures in Ibadan? I would like to visit when next I am around. |
NewNigeriaMind:You are being simplistic in your reasoning. Have you forgotten the systematic marginalisation of SE by the federal governments? Even as a yoruba guy I felt uneasy the last time I went to the east. The northern region has been getting a lot of investment over the years, so both are not comparable. |
Traffic warden kinda jobs are what Nigerian governors are good for anyways. Majority of them are merely a figure head who are there to siphon money into their pockets. |
Magareth Tatcher once answered a question about Nigeria's debt, by saying she knows 5 Nigerians wealthy enough to pay off Nigeria's debt. It's a shame nothing much has changed with regards to corruption. |
Undoubtedly the greatest Nigerian and definitely up there among the greatest Yoruba son. |
Genuine question. What happened to the used Canadian train Fashola bought for Lagos? This shouldn't be allowed to die a quiet death. Been to Hong Kong a few times and you cannot but marvel at the world class engineering of the Jr train from the airport to the city. |
The current system is obviously not sustainable. Decentralisation and reduction of states are the only way out. |
Nice to see the new generations of Yorubas doing great and following our footsteps. Let the governors invest in education to improve the WAEC/Jamb pass rates because the latest figures are underwhelming and less than what Yorubas are capable of. |
Some of these meetings can be designated to the right departments. I don't think this meeting is firm enough to warrant the need for his presence. |
freshdude99:That comment is so out of place. Each to their own. |
hmuhammad:Lagos is massively underpowered. Using the western diversity factor a typical 3 bed house in Lagos should be allocated 2KVA or 1.3KVA for 2bed. Now do the maths for all the houses in Lagos and you will see 3GW isn't that much. The thing is people are being conservative in their load usage because of lack of stable electricity. So the real load is definitely higher than what everyone is currently using. |
stexsy:What has this got to do with the news up there? |
Considering the borough she represents this isn't much of a surprise. |
ALISMILE:Indeed. half bread and all. |
This isn't enough to power a fully industrialised Lagos let alone a whole country. This is a good step nevertheless. |
What a state of those women in the first picture. No reasonable man will touch them with a barge pole. Stay safe folks. |
Quite a good read. Adenuga and not Dangote, is arguably the best entrepreneur in Nigeria. It's easy to be a billionaire when you have monopoly (aided by government) over everything, but to stay afloat among many sharks (Mtn, Mtel etc) like Adenuga isn't easy. Met his cousin Kunle (heard he moved to London) once in Newyork around mid 90s. They are well grounded. |

Beautiful building. I am hoping to visit Ife some day. |
The whole country is on the edge, so this is understable. The term 'Better be safe than sorry' holds true here. |
I don't care too much about Nigeria Politics, but I must acknowledge the courage of fayose in challenging Buhari on this Fulani issue. Can anyone tell me why SW politicians are silent on this issue? This is like a mild Boko haram attack on the southerners. I will probably donate thousand of dollars towards the erasing of the flipping Fulanis herdsmen. |
Nigerian social welfare (does is exist?) department should be able to resettle them. |
What goes on in some people's mind beggars any imaginations. |
Great Pictures. |
Arguably the most powerful name in Nigeria. |
delectablegyal:Why are you deceiving yourself? You obviously stole your dp pic from http://www.barnorama.com/hot-black-girls/ Best Wishes micktoxin |
Shake my head. Where is the project output of the previous rail project planned for lagos? What happened to the To get a perspective of how Nigerians are being robbed you can read the attached link. http://www.chinaafricarealstory.com/2010/08/real-cost-of-chinese-railway.html |
Good for nothing governors. I bet none of them have a long term economic and social strategic plans for their respective states. |
Nigeria and propaganda. Same old same old. |
I am back for today. Been a bit busy. Need to get myself in order as this thread is collecting dust |
Chiam55:*falls from chair * In fact I am officially scared of any Nigerian woman. Period. That's how it starts till they bite your off. Good morning btw.*hugs* |
