No Nigeria, so I aint watching.

Today isn’t really what we thought it would be. We don’t walk around in silver suits, travel to colonies on Mars or drive in flying cars. Instead, we dress casual, take selfies and communicate in 140 characters. The one thing that’s for sure is that times will change and we will have to adapt. While there is no way of knowing exactly how that change will play out, we can identify trends, make common sense judgments about where they lead and prepare for them. However, perhaps we can’t, Did we really know 30 years ago how the world would be as it is today? We have collected some future ideas – in the following images – of how would the world be like.. If you go to a gym, the likelihood of you encountering the resident douchebag is high. Every gym has one and, sometimes, there’s usually more than one. Some aren’t as big of a douchebag as others are, but hey, douchebags are douchebags. Though, douchebags aren’t the only ones you should be expecting at your local gym. There are lots and lots of other types of people and stereotypes that you’re probably going to meet, more so if it’s your first time at the gym. And, even if it’s not your first time, you’re probably going to laugh when you read these things below. After all, you may be one of these annoying types of gym goers that simply get on everyone else’s nerves.

1. The Douchebag

Everybody knows one. They’re always walking around, looking at themselves in the mirror and flexing all their muscles. Sure, they’ve got something to show. But, do they really have to figuratively shove it into everyone’s face all the time?

2. The First Timer

These people don’t know what they’re doing in the gym and why they’re in there in the first place. And, being first timers, they’re just too afraid to ask.

Bicep curls at the squat rack are actually quite a good thing for these days, because at least, they’re doing something right. Well, in a way that is. Fact is, these people don’t know SHIT about the gym. What’s even worse is that they act like they know everything even when they clearly don’t. Put it simply, they’re just gym accidents waiting to happen.

4. The Guy Who Lifts Too Much

When I say too much, I’m not talking about people who basically live in the gym. Rather, I’m talking about people who are clearly lifting WAAAAY too much than they can handle. Why? I don’t know. But, I’m betting that it’s to impress that hot chick taking selfies over at the weight rack.

5. The Inappropriately Dressed

They’re not exactly doing anything bad, except well, put themselves in harm’s way. But hey, it’s their bodies right? You just have to deal with the eye sore.

This needs no further explanation. And oh, in case you’re wondering, that’s a TV she’s looking at.

We all know that machines make our times at the gym easier. Sure, they’re not as effective, but most people don’t know that or don’t even care. Unfortunately, some people LOVE machines too much that they just hug them all day long.

A few “oohhmps” every now and then is understandable, but what these people do are just plain annoying.

hey’re like the douchebags, the grunters and the guy who tries to lift too much all in one. What’s worse is that they have nothing to show and trying too hard to find a way to “flaunt” whatever they have.

These douchebags deserve their own space because they’re a special kind of annoying. Sure, those other douchebags are somehow remarkable because they have something to show. But, these? They’re just hell to deal with. They take selfies, text all the time and are on the phone when they’re not. In fact, the two hours they are in the gym, they spend more than half of it while on the phone.

I’m excluding girls in general because they’re already covered in the many stereotypes above. And well, for this one, it’s a special case. Why? Because even though they’re quite annoying, most people are willing to put up with them simply because well, they’re HOT chicks. Now, who doesn’t want to see a hot chick doing reps every now and then while they’re at the gym?

I'm quite astonished how any sane person will even contemplate to vote for Jonathan. That man has failed the basic principle for a civilized society to exist and that's basic security for its citizens. Nigerians have been dying like rats for the past four years that no one can put a figure to it, even news channels don't report mass killings in the country because they see it a s a regular occurence. How this man can come out and campaign for another four years in power beggars belief. I don't know much about the politics in this country and about the other contestants but the insecurity in the north of this country is enough to show he's an incompetent leader.

I guess that's what you Nigerians call the marine spirit kingdom.

1. Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai
The underwater suites at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai are really fit for the king of the seas. They are the most intimate and romantic lodging you could ever dream of… as long as you don't have nightmares about sharks. Just imagine lying in bed while seeing he marine life in the Ambassador Lagoon. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have floor to ceiling windows, so that you can enjoy the views.

2. The Manta Resort, Pemba Island, Zanzibar

The Underwater Room is the most special room at the very exclusive Manta Resort in Pemba Island (Zanzibar). To get there, you need to board a wooden boat that takes you in two minutes to this unique space that lies over the crystal clear sea of the Manta house reef. It’s like a private floating island, complete with stunning views and lots of comfort. And if staying underwater all the time is too much, you can still sunbathe on the deck.

3. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Rangali Island, Maldives

The luxurious Hotel Conrad Maldives Rangali does not have an underwater room, but you can still dine in style submerged and without having to wear a diving suit. The Ithaa Undersea restaurant is located 16 feet below sea level and you can have your mix of Maldivian and Western cuisine while you look up to see the beautiful reef and marine life. Not to be missed.

4. Subsix at Niyama, Maldives

Nothing better than a good party after a good meal. It may not be on the same island, but the world’s first underwater club is also in the Maldives. The Subsix is part of the luxurious Niyama resort, but accessible to anyone. Here you can dance, chill out and have very chic cocktails while looking into the depths of the Indian Ocean. Dancing beneath the waves never had been so cool!

5. Utter Inn Hotel, Vasteras, Sweden

The Utter Inn is the one and only underwater hotel in Sweden and floats happily in Lake Malaren, near Stockholm. It is not very luxurious but the experience is worth is: twin beds and a table in a room three meters below the surface of the waters with panoramic windows in all directions. The Utter Inn was created by local artist Mikael Genberg and is now a very fashionable place to spend a weekend in. On the wooden deck you can sunbathe, admire the gorgeous natural surroundings or explore some nearby islands by boat.

6. Jules’ Undersea Lodge, Key Largo, Florida, USA

Jules’s Undersea Lodge is aptly named after the author of “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” and is the oldest underwater room out there. But getting there is not that easy. Located 21 feet beneath the surface of the sea, you need to scuba dive and enter through an opening on the bottom. What used to be a research lab is now a very cosy accommodation where you can treat yourself to pizza for dinner.

7. Lime Spa at Huvafen Fushi, Maldives

The Lime Spa at Huvafen Fushi resort is the world first underwater treatment space. There you will be able to enjoy sensual and sensorial treatments while looking at the sea life of the Indian Ocean. If you can afford it, try their Lime Light Ritual, a 180 minute treatment that embraces the essence of the Maldives with indigenous island coconut, lime and mineral offerings, followed by an awakening massage, some time in the relaxation pod and the best views of the lagoon.

8. Lovers Deep, Caribbean

Lovers Deep is the fanciest submarine you could imagine. This one takes luxury to a new level. Situated just off the coast of a beautiful Caribbean island (of your choice), it is intended for romantic getaways for couples that want to have a private night together submerged beneath the ocean waves.

Poseidon Undersea Resorts, Fiji

Although still in the plans, Poseidon Undersea Resorts would be the world’s first permanent one-atmosphere seafloor structure. It would feature twenty-two 550 square foot (51m2) guest rooms, an underwater restaurant and bar, a library, conference room, wedding chapel, spa and a 1’200 square foot (110 m1) luxury suite.

The Water Discus Hotel, Dubai

Backed by a Swiss company and designed by Deep Ocean Technology the Water Discus will be a truly impressive hotel in Dubai whenever it is finished. Its 21 luxury suites will be housed in two main discs (one above water and one below) that look a bit like a spaceship. It will also have a bar and a dive centre.


Hydropolis Underwater Hotel, Dubai

The Hydropolis Underwater Hotel and Resort in Dubai (where else?) was meant to be constructed 20 metres underwater off the coast of Jumeriah beach, covering an area of 260 hectares. But the project was cancelled on October 2004.


Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel, Florida, USA

Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel is still in the planning stages, but if it happens, it will be located on private property near Key West, in Florida, and will put a big focus on coral reef restoration and protection of the ocean, by building an underwater hotel... This luxury resort will include twelve rooms, a lounge and dining area, and a great view of the marine life, according to the developers.

There is little more eerie than stepping foot into a derelict, decaying ghost town. These once-thriving communities lie frozen in time. Some tell haunting stories of their troubled pasts...
From towns scarred by violent pasts, to communities left to slip into disrepair, step back in time and take a look around the world’s most ghoulish ghost towns. These abandoned places are sure to send a chill down your spine.

1. Island of the Dolls, Mexico

L'Isla de las Muñecas was the home of a hermit, Julian Santana Barrera, who lived isolated on the Xochimilco canal. Legend has it that he found a girl drowned in the canal and hung dolls around the island to appease her spirit. The island became a popular tourist attraction with many visiting with dolls on hand to add to the collection. In 2001 Barrera was sadly found drowned, supposedly in the same spot as the girl he had once found. You can still visit the island and be greeted by unblinking, spooky eyes… and the dolls too.

2. Hashima Island, Japan
Also known as Battleship Island, this abandoned coal mining facility is an eerie jungle of crumbling concrete buildings and the dust-covered remnants of its former inhabitants. It has been unoccupied since 1974 as people were forced to leave as inhospitable conditions made it impossible to live there. At one point there were 5000 workers crammed into this tiny island (making it the most densely populated place on earth), unable to leave due to the temperamental seas.

3. Pripyat, Ukraine

Abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, Pripyat was once the thriving home of 50,000 people before the worst nuclear disaster in history hit Ukraine. For many, this haunting time capsule serves as a reminder of the mistrust people felt towards the government, as this emptied city remains literally frozen in time – the nuclear power cause the city’s clocks to stop ticking. The most eerie area of the city is its theme park, that’s towering Ferris Wheel and rusting dodgems stand empty and devoid of life.

4. Oradour-sur-Glane, France
Oradour-sur-Glane has remained untouched since the Nazi massacre that wiped out the town’s population in 1944. 642 people died in this horrific attack – the majority being women and children. The village has remained untouched as General Charles de Gaulle stated it should remain a memorial to the cruelty of the Nazi occupation. Today it is a popular tourist attraction, for people to wander around the quiet streets lined by rusted cars and ruined stone buildings. Despite it being busy during the day, locals say they wouldn’t dare enter at night – there have been sightings of figures roaming the empty streets.

5. Kolmanskop, Namibia

This former diamond mining village was home to German miners seeking weath and prosperity. However, as the price of diamonds deteriorated after the First World War, the once-thriving hub of German architecture and culture in the middle of a vast African desert was abandoned. Over time, the houses have been invaded by sands that fill the rooms, turning them into almost otherworldly places that tourist can explore, if they dare.

6. Humberstone, Chile

Thousands lived and worked in northern Chile’s unbearably dry desert for over 60 years, processing the world's largest deposit of 'saltpetre' (potassium nitrate). When it was eventually abandoned it took over a more gruesome role as a concentration camp during the Pinochet dictatorship. Although not completely abandoned (some 250 residents still live here), the majority of the buildings lie empty and dilapidated.

7. Port Arthur, Tasmania

This small town and former convict settlement on the Tasman Peninsula is reportedly one of the most haunted locations in Australia as it operated for years as a penal colony. As well as being the home of criminals it is also the site of the awful Port Arthur massacre of 1996. People who visit say they have seen ghostly figures as well as hearing odd noises and the sound of a church bell that has not been in operation for years.

8. Bodie, USA

Nestled in the hills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, Bodie is one of the most famous ghost towns in North America. Few of the buildings of this former gold mining town are still standing but the ones that are, are stocked full of dusty treasures from the town’s past. However, heed this warning – if you wish to take something as a souvenir, prepare to suffer the consequences, as legend has it that ghosts roam the town, protecting it from thieves.

9. Grytviken, South Georgia

This Antarctic whaling station was abandoned in 1966 after hunting had decimated the whale population to the point where so few were left it wasn't worth continuing. All that remains of the settlement are ghostly ships and rundown buildings, as well as a creepy graveyard where former workers were buried. Grytviken is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, further adding to the chilling, and decidedly chilly, atmosphere.

Greed, poverty, inequality, environmental destruction, war… how do they, at the top of the hierarchy, pull it off? How can a system in which so few make the important decisions, be able to sit comfortably in their pile of wealth while the rest of the world goes to waste? How can a small group of men in suits be able to direct the current in which an entire human society moves?

It’s Simpler Than Most Think

We think it’s complicated. We think that their power is acquired in a very complex, political and scientific way. And it sure may seem that way behind the scenes. But there’s one thing we forget to ask: What is the life force of this system? With all of the police versus protester conflict and race wars going on as of late, I felt inspired to deliver a message that I believe we need to be reminded of if we want to get out of this mess, reclaim our power and create a more beautiful world. We often think it only has to do with fighting back and blaming the oppressor…
but here’s another perspective:

6. The Door to Hell, Turkmenistan
