No house is marked for demolition at Ijagemo for now, so no sign of work commencement in any form.
Also, since the govt is planning a reroute of the road network, why not make initial provision for those it's going to affect instead of going the court way that will end up at the supreme court after so many years with the job left undone.
Furthermore, why can't the govt put some palliative measures on the road to make it motorable pending the road construction.

I just modify my previous post about compensation and might still modify if I remember anything and I said I dont know about ijagemo... Am talking about Ijeododo for now... there's going to be a link road between the two communities ijeododo and ijagemo... but I cant say about that for now because it's not confirmed yet

For now the road has been signed, contractors are on ground as I speak and some houses has been marked for demolition but what's delaying the project now is the owner's houses marked for demolition has taking lagos state to court to revert the road to its proposed route, because Lagos state decided that they want to construct the road beside pipeline so it will reduce vandalism on that route.

I believe there's going to be compensation from the state government and contractors says they are waiting for the ministry of physical planning and urban development (mpp&ud) before commencement of work

That particular route is about 19km and will lead to Lagos apapa express road through abule ado where gas plant exploded this year due to lickage, and was later debunked by BBC that it was pipeline explosion, that same route some pipeline lickage was complained to NNPC that there were lickage of pipeline and they swung into action, it made front page then.

The trial of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki resumed at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, on Wednesday with an admission by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that some of the evidence tendered before the tribunal were incomplete.

The Commission made the admission through its first

prosecution witness, Michael Wetkas.

Saraki is currently facing a 16- count charge of false asset declaration while he was the Governor of Kwara State.

At yesterday’s resumed hearing, Wetkas, an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged that Saraki did not declare a property he bought in 1993 during his assets declaration of 2003.

Wetkas said, “Saraki on 16 September 2003, did not declare a property he purchased in Maitama, Abuja in 1993.”

He alleged that Saraki acquired the property through his company, Carlyed Properties Limited.

When asked by Saraki’s lawyer, Paul Usoro, SAN, to verify exhibit 20, a letter by the EFCC asking the Abuja Geographical Information System, AGIS, requesting for information on the property Saraki did not declare, which he tendered before the tribunal, Wetkas admitted that the commission tendered an incomplete evidence.

On the 1999 Constitution and Senate confirmation of ministerial nominations, the law is clear and unambiguous. The constitution says the Senate ONLY needs to ‘confirm’.
According Black’s Law Dictionary, ‘confirm’ means ”To complete or establish that which was imperfect or uncertain; to ratify what has been done without authority or insufficiently”. Boggs v. Mining Co.. 14 Cal. 305; Railway Co. v. Ransom, 15 Tex. Civ. App. 689, 41 S. W. 826.
The same dictionary defines ‘Screening’ as ”Evaluation of a number of subjects to determine which have the right characteristics or attributes you are looking for”.
From the foregoing, the process by which ministerial nominations are subjected to screening is not with the true intents and purposes of its enabling law. Screening, as its always being used, is illegal and does not conform with the intents of the draftsmen of the constitution.
The Constitution under Section 147 (2) states that ”Any appointment to the office of Minister of the Government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President.”
The procedure for ministerial appointments is a simple, clear and concise process which does not require even the appearance of such persons before the Senate (At least was not provided as a prerequisite).
To buttress further, the Constitution went further under Subsection (6) of Section 147 thus: ”An appointment to any of the offices aforesaid shall be deemed to have been made where no return has been received from the Senate within twenty-one working days of the receipt of nomination by the Senate”
In other words, the nominations of ministers ONLY needs vetting from the Senate and does not require screening. Anything otherwise is illegal, unconditional and of no effect whatsoever.
Find below the complete provision of Section 147 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

147.
(1) There shall be such offices of Ministers of the Government of the Federation as may be established by the President.
(2) Any appointment to the office of Minister of the Government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President.
(3) Any appointment under subsection (2) of this section by the President shall be in conformity with the provisions of section 14(3) of this Constitution:- provided that in giving effect to the provisions aforesaid, the President shall appoint, at least, one Minister from each State, who shall be an indigene of such State.
(4) Where a member of the National Assembly or of a House of Assembly is appointed as Minister of the Government of the Federation, he shall be deemed to have resigned his membership of the National Assembly or of the House of Assembly on his taking the oath of office as Minister.
(5) No person shall be appointed as a Minister of the Government of the Federation unless he is qualified for election as a member of the House of Representatives.
(6) An appointment to any of the offices aforesaid shall be deemed to have been made where no return has been received from the Senate within twenty-one working days of the receipt of nomination by the Senate.

Economy: Since coming to power petrol stations have continued to sell fuel at N120-N130 per litre across Nigeria instead of the approved N87 pump price. Nigerians have no clue whether there is still subsidy or not.

Governance:
Since coming to power, President Buhari is yet to appoint Senior Government officials like the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Service Chiefs, Heads of Parastatals etcetera
