My response to you; 1. Yes JESUS CHRIST IS GOD (John 1:1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD). John 1:14; AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US. You can also read Col 1: 9-19 Jesus is the word of God. You cannot separate God from His word. Jesus is also the son of God. The Holy trinity has the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Which means God, His word (Jesus) and the Holy spirit ( Just as you said, He is the Holy spirit. He responds to the name of Jesus, He represents God everywhere (God is a Spirit). He is the third description of God. This why in Matt, Jesus said baptize in the name of the father, son and the Holy spirit. Not name(s) because its just one out of the three that is named... The Son Jesus. That's why He also said repeatedly, in my name ye shall cast out Devils....... 3. JESUS is the name of God. (Col 1: 9-19) God the father was pleased that in JESUS should all fullness dwell. He gave him a name above every other name in Heaven and on earth and under the earth. Also, Math 28;19. Jehovah is a synonym of God, Father, Supreme being etc. You cannot say the name of God is Jehovah, that's like saying the name of Jehovah is Jehovah. That is who He is and not His name. zionmade: I think it is good we try to always read posts carefully if we intend to respond and also endeavor to respond using scriptures so other readers can learn from our posts since it is religious discussion. I don't think that the op says that there's nothing special about laying of hands, neither did he say it is compulsory to fall. He only wanted to know what was wrong with him if anyone thinks something is wrong. Also, in my opinion, if it is God who called a person to be a Pastor, he anoints the person. If a follower is submitted to a particular pastor's ministration and has tested his Spirit as the scripture admonishes, it means that he believes the pastor is anointed. For the op to have been under that pastor's ministration, he probably believes the pastor is truly anointed to be his pastor and as such should be submitted to his pastor and not allow any distractions. That also does not mean that every time he is ministered to he must fall, that is supposed to be a sign as you said, of a spiritual connection between the receiver and God. YES! Something is wrong. Acts 7: 51.... Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost:.... Growing up as a child I used to believe that people who tend to fall under anointing in church services, fellowships and christian gatherings were possessed of demons and are "witches". As such, whenever hands were laid on me, I purposely stood still and strong even when I felt the power transmitted. Sometimes, even when worshiping in songs or fellowshiping alone I experience such presence and yet refuse to give in.... until I was thought and read the above scripture. The truth is, you that is resisting the power of the Holy spirit is the real "witch" because it is rebellion. !Sam 15:23, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Also Read Deut 31:27. Let your mind be stayed on Him. Refuse distraction and give in when you experience power, you will experience the power of the anointing and it is a wonderful sign of submission. |

"I got a job in a funny industry (logistics and supply chain)" Really? Firstly, Log & SC is a field that is required in EVERY industry. It also appears to be the FUTURE of large businesses as it entails enterprise management, warehousing, logistics and distribution, Planning/scheduling, procurement, project management, operations and etcetera. I work in an O & G as a SC professional and you can't imagine how valuable people in this field (SC) earn, especially when you have the IT tool tech-know-how required e.g. SAP-PM, MM, Fi, CO, RLM and so on. It is a great field and also with higher degrees in SC from reputable institutions, international certifications related to the field, you'll soar higher. My background is in Physics, but I joined the SC field and acquired some certs in procurement & logistics, as well as an MSc. in Oprs & SC from Liverpool and with over 8 years experience in the field and in O & G, I'm enjoying my career. I even get offers from other fields like medicine, pharmacy, bottling companies, airlines, marine, engineering, and many more because operations & supply chain mgt is very vast. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Are you ready to listen to what he did? It is unfortunate to ask those questions. GEJ is a Hero anyday. First GEJ ruled Nigeria for 5 years 3 Months and never 6 years! Let me give a brief of what he did. The East west road was taken from nothing to over 85% completion. Many sections have been completed, check from Warri to Patani to Bayelsa; go to oron axis; He establishes two Federal Universities- University of Otuoke and Maritime University, Okerenkoko; he brought a Law school to Niger Delta situated in Yenegoa. He ensured that people no longer sleep on Benin-Ore road by giving it a major overhaul. He gave some of the critical Ministries to the Niger Delta people for real work and more empowerment; He ensured that Bayelsa was hooked on to the National Grid; he establishe a deep sea port and a dock yard in the Niger Delta; he empowered the youths by re-inforcing the Amnesty programme. He ensured that NDDC gets its allocation to work and so on; apart from the general things that affect all parts of Nigeria, like refurbishing the Airports. Compare this with OBJ that ruled 8 years or IBB that rule 8 years IS THERE AN AIRPORT IN OGUN STATE? DID OBJ BUILD ONE THERE? AT LEAST GEJ STARTED AN AIRPORT WHICH IS STILL ONGOING IN YENAGOA. theconcealed: My friend, you studied a very good and useful course. Congrats. For the MSc. it depends on the course, your first degree graduation grade and the school. Getting an MSc is great if you can afford it. Take the chance ASAP. If you want to move to a pure engineering, most schools will require you do a pgd first even if you had a 2:1. But for material Physics, Geophysics, Electronics and etc, with a 2;2, you can get an MSc directly. It depends on you! Better still, you can get a better education abroad (MSc) if you can afford it. I assure you, the skies will not limit you. Finally, at this stage of your life, you need to know that life is a function of grace. You need God to decide what will put food on your table. as such, ensure a very good relationship with Him. He'll direct your path. You can inbox me your email add. I am a young man and as such, assumed you are too. My bad. Now that you've asked, I'll educate you. B. ed degrees are awarded by colleges of education or the adult education departments in universities. Its a professional teacher's degree and is awarded in any specification, i.e. english, science, arts courses and etcetera. As such, they offer more of educational and teachers' professional courses at the degree level. A BSc ed. degree on the other hand is awarded in Universities and offer more of the specific professional courses as core and educational courses as electives. Graduates in this field can pass for teachers as well as other related fields. They have an edge over other fields of study while applying for jobs in the teaching field, just as the others have an edge over them while applying for jobs in other professional fields. But believe me, everyone has an opportunity when it comes to occupation because its God who decides your occupation (whatever puts food on your table) even if you decide your profession (whatever you study in school). |

ibadanfinest: Young man, you should try and read the ops post and understand before commenting. He had a BSc.ed degree, not a Bed degree. They are very different. My first degree was also a BSc. ed degree in Physics. I thought for 6 months while applying for other jobs. After then, I have been working in the oil and gas for over 8 years now. I only just started my MSc. in Operations & SCM in a prestigious UK university last year. After 7 years working in the O & G, I did a professional course which lead to the field I'm in currently in my MSc. Yes, there is always an atom of grace in every career opportunity, especially in Nigeria. But the fact remains that a BSc. ed degree is not the same as a Bed. degree. 2 Likes |

Have you confessed the Lord ship of Jesus Christ over your life? If you have not, then there is no need to continue to respond to you. The bible teaches that NO man can confess Jesus as his lord except he is led of the Holy Spirit. Yield to His counsel, submit yourself to Jesus Christ, then when you read the bible, or when you're thought, you will get the correct understanding. Let me tell you, I was a staunch follower of Olumba when I was younger. I know all they preach and how they twist the scriptures and go to the tailor to customize a new color of garment to match a new misunderstanding of the scripture and give Roland to wear. I can also see that you have stated that you are an illiterate. I suspected actually because Obu really converted many of his kind. If you only read the King James version of the bible like I know it is with your Obu, you will not see the name of Jesus in the Old testament. Nb: King James is either the 12th or 13th translation of the bible. Read Ruth 4:17, Ruth 4:22, Haggai 2:9, Haggai 2:21 in the Amplified version. They are books in the old testament. @ Def Cleff, That is exactly the deceit. What you're doing now, I did it many years ago until I decided to accept the truth and confessed the Lord ship of Jesus. The revelation of John the divine talked about the past, the present and the things yet to come. The part being preached in Bcs is after Armageddon. First the Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person in the Holy trinity. God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is one person. God the father is God almighty, His word ( whatever comes out from His mouth) was made flesh to redeem the world as no man could pay the price of Adam's disobedience. The Holy Spirit is the person of God that carries His presence everywhere. God Almighty never leaves His throne, it's His spirit that manifests His presence as Omnipresence. The word of God after being resurrected by the Holy Spirit ascended back to His place (on the Throne, inside the Father) that is why Jesus always says that when you see Him you have seen the father because they are one and the same. The Holy spirit is a Spirit. HE IS NOT FLESH! Also bear in mind that the second coming of Jesus Christ according the the word of God is after the rapture, with the saints who were rapture both while alive and the dead in Christ who will be rapture at the sound of the trumpet. Jesus will come with these saints to wage war against the anti-christ who at that time, must have taken over the world power with his demons on the earth. If you say stupidly believed that Olumba obu is God who came in flesh, started as a business man in southern Nigeria selling ok clothes, got married and made children with his wife, lived and died as a man, and now his son Roland is the one in charge then you really need your head examined. My final words to you is; why did Jesus come? did He achieve his goal? what was it? The Answer is, Jesus came to give us life (ZOE... Eternal Life, the God type of life). Whoever believes and confesses His Lordship is saved from condemnation. Yes He achieved His goal. The power of life is in His hands. @ Decleff, His name is Jesus. That is the name above every other name in Hell, Heaven, Earth and under the earth. I know why Def Cleff asked that question "what is God's name". Olumba tought them that the name of Jesus does not appear in the Old testament, only in the new testament. As such, the name olumba does not appear in the new testament too, that is, if another testament came after the new, olumba's name should be there....bla..nbla.. blaa... The reason why your olumba tought you that the name of Jesus is not in the old testament is because he didn't know how to read. He was an illiterate as you know, that was why he sent his son Roland to school. What I don't understand is why Roland has refused to read other versions of the bible. Yes, the name Jesus is not in the King James version of the old testament part of the Bible. if you read other versions, you will see the name of Jesus clearly stated in the Old testament.
