OBJ has failed. GEJ will win southwest. |
Can someone please tell OBJ that he is not relevant in Nigeria anymore?? No one cares about your opinions. Come down from your supposed high horse. You don't have control over us westerners. stop deceiving yourself. GEJ till 2019. |
That's why the revamp of Lagos-warri-ajaokuta rail route which is over 60% done. That way, produced materials can be easily transported to the west where car assembling companies & other companies can access it. GEJ has not done badly in my opinion. Only his media team is terrible. He means well, & did much despite the distractions from the Northeast. |

President Jonathan Recovers Ajaokuta Steel Company From Global Steel Posted by: niyi May 24, 2013 Ajaokuta_steel_plant_324474212 President Goodluck Jonathan has recovered the dead Ajaokuta Steel Complex in Kogi State from Global Steel Holdings Limited, Chairman, Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Smart Adeyemi (PDP, Kogi West) has said, in a move that came six years after the company had remained non-functional. Senator Adeyemi noted that the development and bringing back of the company to full operation will provide at least 10, 000 jobs, not only for Kogi State indigenes but also, neighbouring states. Speaking to newsmen, yesterday, Adeyemi said the Federal Government was in the process of negotiating the return of the Iron Ore Mining Company, Itakpe, also in Kogi State. “The Federal Government has recovered the Ajaokuta steel complex from Global Steel and with that more than 10,000 workers would be gainfully employed,” he said. “I think the return of this complex is worth celebrating. The government of President Jonathan is worth celebrating. They should be commended for recovering the complex. They have succeeded in recovering Ajaokuta without any attendant financial obligation whatsoever. “This is a great achievement that deserves commendation, irrespective of political affiliation. The return of Ajaokuta will reduce unemployment and crime. By this singular achievement, it means this government has raised the hope for industrial development in Nigeria “We got to know that Global Steel asked for $1 billion damages but the concession was illegal and unlawful. I want Nigerians to know that the Federal Government has been in arbitration with the International Chamber of Commerce since the concession was terminated in 2007. The case started in 2008. “The two plants have not been functioning since they were privatized and I want to let you know that the meeting that resolved the issue was held in Dubai between April 29 to May 1. “Ajaokuta is at the heart of technological development in Nigeria. If we can get the complex back, then, it means Nigeria’s march towards industrialization has started on a good path. Return of Ajaokuta means that this will change the face of Kogi Stats and hopefully, the northern region”. “The federal government may revalidate the concession with Global Steel. I’m happy that the main plant is back to Nigeria.” It will be recalled that the Federal Government had been locked in arbitration with Global Steel Holdings Limited and Global Infrastructure Limited at the International Chamber of Commerce, London, for the return of Ajaokuta since 2007. Ajaokuta was sold to Global Steel during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, under the privatisation Programme of the Federal Government then and after that, allegations of downsizing and asset-stripping came up before it finally shut down operations. President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have intervened and the federal government regained total control of the steel company and with this, Global Steel agreed to forfeit hefty $1b initially being demanded as damages allegedly suffered by the company while running the two plants. |
How about now?? |
There must be some mx up some where dear. I'm very MALE!! Watch it change ASAP. |
opeyemiolu:Kindly inbox me your number. I will like to see that figure LIVE!!! ![]() |
Bros op, you harsh oh!! The population of Naija in 1985 is less than a quarter of what you have now. We also had 19 states including FCT at that time. Also, your research is not complete. GEJ regime is full of friction caused by your Buhari's Boko Haram. Yet, GEJ inherited the country after over 27 years of corruption & rot, while Buhari inherited a better environment. You didn't include the Federal Universities, Federal roads, Rail system revamp, Aviation sector revamped, Free hand for politicians to thrive. F.O.I that makes even the dumbest Nigerian to call the siting president Dumb. Agricultural sector revamp, and many more. All these achieved to cater for a nation with over 170 million people?? plus terrible distractions from Boko Haram?? Bros, I beg, "PACK WELL" |
jodeci: Cost if running govt in 1983 were cheaper compared to now,so even though oil prices were lower then it still would have achieved commensurate level of development.I think you should also know that the country's population now is over six times it's population in 1983. GEJ has done quite well for me... ![]() |
![]() @ chinedumo: It is the truth. Yes the name of Jesus ( in any language) is powerfull as stated by the word of God, that God has highly exhalted the name of Jesus, that at the mention of the name every knee should bow ........ But you see, the power lies in the revelation of the name to the user. Some people call Jesus casually, exclamatorily, with fear etc. Thus, not understanding the personality in the name which is a revelation of his authority. When you use the name of Jesus (in any language) in faith (without any atom of doubt), it works. There is power in the name of Jesus, Yeshua, Jesu, Yesu, etc. Just beleive. |
chinedumo:Pastor Chris taught this. The man of God Pastor Chris is truly very sound in the teachings of God's word. The first time I heard this particular message from one of his teachings, I was miffed. |
I'm not to sure, I think it's about six, but I can only remember the titles of about four. @ joe, my answer is six books. Wisdom for women, don't pack your bags yet, ROR. These are the ones I can remember now. |
Joagbaje:@joe, go ahead with your question sir. |
Children obey your parents in the lord for this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first comandment with a promise, that it may be well with the and thou may live long on earth. Eph.6:1 Its a great thing to honor your pastor. Happy birthday Pastor Anita. Your influence in the world will continue to increase. Thank u for giving lives meaning. I love u ma. |
1COR 2:6 we speak wisdom among them that are perfect (mature). Heb 5:14 strong meat belong to them that are of full age. @ JO, There are some info you keep away from children so they don't go mad. We know that SMOKING for instance is a bad habit & not expected of christians, but the Bible never called it a sin in itself. On the issue in question, it takes a mature mind to understand the info being passed. |
Now that I know you're probably a pagan, I rest my case. It's impossible to discuss God with unbelievers. Some have already endorsed their flight tickets to hell. Good bye |
@ Mr. 2good. I'm beginning to suspect you. I'll let you know now that all you've said are lies. I work in an international french company. Most of the experts a Europeans. I have five sibs living & working in the U.S. My immediate older bro is in the U.S. Navy. My oldest bro is a medical director & the other one works in an O & G firm. Also, there are service contractors on our fields working 28 days (experts) and are paid between 4000 & 5,500 euros per month. as I speak, there are two on this field who were mechanics in their nations military before resigning to work in Naija for these amounts. Unless you're mistaken there logistic & security allowances & benefits as salaries. Maybe the O & G firm you work for produce groudnut oil. |

The S/s & East are not protesting because we know the truth. How can a bottle of water which is 7.5cl cost more than a liter of petrol? We are tired of paying rent of 200k for a bedroom flat, experiencing black outs & abject poverty while Nigeria subsidizes petrol which is used only by the rich. The money should be used to fix out roads, refineries, electricity, housing etc. which will in turn create jobs. We will endure buying petrol at 150 like other countries do, until our refineries are working, refining Petrol, kerosine & others, and then it is subsidized for far less than the N65 some idiots are fighting for. Wake up naija, this is the best move by fg for 20years coming. GEJ carry go, |
@ mikeoh, ![]() GET A LIFE, YOU need one, ![]() |
@ ALL, At least I'm convinced that I joined this forum when I noticed guys like Kunleoshoba, Frosbel, Enigma etc lamblasting Joeagbaje. I had been reading posts on NL for a while before I decided to register, so I could respond to some of these nasty NL posters. They made Joe popular by always refuting his opinions with insults and the rest, even when he always responded with scriptures & sensible ideas. Cudos to these guys if Joe wins the poll. At least, it will get them more jealous & envious of him, thus making him more popular in 2012. Someone ones said, if you are against someone, put your strength in supporting his oponent & not concentrating on discrediting the person you're against. when your energy is directed on discrediting the one you don't support, you end up attracting more favour, vote, & grace for him. A word is enough for THE wise. ![]() |
@ Lepasharun, That your response was prety rude. I don't think the op deserved such because of an opinion she shared. Grow up. By the way, because christians all over the world has chosen 25th of December to celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus, does not mean christians are implying He was born that day. You canbe born on a day & decide to celebrate on a different date. By the way, I think the date chosen for the celebration of the birth of Jesus is perfect. Merry Xmas. |
@ Joe & ALL, I think the response to all these negative insinuations & faithless statements about God boils down to one thing: GOD WILL NOT DO FOR MAN WHAT MAN CAN DO FOR HIMSELF. Firstly, Whoever comes to God must BELIEVE that God Exists! and he is a rewarder of them that seek him diligently. That is a good start point for all the unbelievers. ![]() |
