Don't mind him, your mechanic don open office on top you, If Civic leg get K.... Infact starting from 06 Honda civic uses same ball joint as Toyota. My friend use 02 for 4yrs no K leg oooo, maintenance!!! He uses the direct tòkunbó ( Though it might expensive) for almost 2 yrs without changing it...... |
Yes, nice car beta dan Toyota Corolla to my opinion i used the 2 car. DON'T BUY ABUSE ONE. If you intend to buy Auto DON'T USE WRONG ATF OOOO, But MANUAL GEAR THE BEST. I have manual gear used every day. Engine is superb, very fuel efficient, no leg pull, part are cheaper. You will ENJOY IT. bonnyhope: |
Dem dey talk say nah Honda dey commot leg feel this picture below...... TOYOTA TUNDRA

GAZZUZZ, i uses honda civic 02 ( i brought it najia used) , i have been using wrong oil 20w50 due advice from mechanic, but i want to change to 5w20 recommended by Honda civic. The engine is in good shape, and according to the previous user he brought the engine 2019. Should i change to 5w20 or continue with 20w50? PLEASE GAZZUZZ PUT ME THROUGH. Thanks |
GAZZUZZ, i having using wrong oil due to bad advice by mechanic but my car is not smoking at all, can i change to 5w20 recommended by Honda civic. Thanks GAZZUZZ. GAZZUZZ: |
Well i have not use 06 upward but from a friend using it!!! You will never regret of buying the car. Use recommended engine oil 5w20 For Auto transmission use recommended oil But i prefer Manual transmission dan Auto trans Very good on gas ( Fuel efficiency superb) Very Good Absorber Use a reliable mechanic. I use civic 02 presently, it never disappoint me. My mechanic advice to sale to him, but i refused because i only change oil and filter, and change ball joint which is normal. The spare parts are cheaper and very very good on gas even better dan Toyota Corolla base on my personal experience i have used the two car. If i am to choose i will choose Honda civic over Toyota base on my experience. HONDA CIVIC 02-05 & TOYOTA COROLLA 07 ENGINE - HONDA AUTO TRANSMISSION - TOYOTA (REASON : TOYOTA CAN BE ABUSED BUT DON'T EVER TRY IT WITH HONDA. HONDA IS GOOD IF USE RECOMMENDED ATF) MANUAL TRANSMISSION - HONDA SHOCK ABSORBER - HONDA RUGGED - BOTH INTERIOR - HONDA EXTERIOR - BOTH POWER - TOYOTA STABILITY - HONDA FUEL EFFICIENCY - HONDA DO YOUR RESEARCH..... YOU CAN GO FOR CIVIC OR CITY. FOR BEST FUEL EFFICIENCY EVER & CHEAP SPARE PART GO FOR HONDA CITY. |
Broder 2006 upward Honda Ultimate Civic uses same Ball joint as Toyota. Manual Transmission best Forget Leg Issues Even 2001 to 2005 don't have leg issues like EOD BUY A WELL USED ONE AND HAVE REST OF MIND & HIGH PRICE OF TOYOTA SPARE PARTS. RUN AWAY FROM ABUSE ONE. THANKS [quote author=Idarase I need advice on honda civic 2006. Transmission: manual How reliable it is? Does it have leg issues? Buy a well used either Toks or Naija Honda Civic bro, for business. You will never regret. |
Rawlings120:Go for Honda Civic, not abuse one oooo. I bet u, u will love ❤️ it. |

chimauga:Den gearbox is not your problem. Plz change your mechanical. Tanx |
Bro, go for 2002-2003 Manual Transmission or 2004-2005 Manual\Auto Transmission Honda Civic or 2008-2010 and have rest of mind. Forget Nissan and Over Hyping Toyota. Ikeena, I get your point on the Toyota engine issue. I previously use Toyota, but now bye-bye to spending unnecessary money. I observed some mechanic tends to charge you more when you use Toyota. Am now a die-hard fan of Honda Civic or Accord 06-07, CR-V 05-07, City, HR-V and Element. |
CHANGE YOUR MECHANIC PLEASE zed7: |
Nice update, am Toyota fan b4 but I was advice about Honda Civic when I sold my Toyota corolla 2007 base on some issues (Personal) , I read reviews on nairaland for 3weeks about Honda civic, I pray to JEHOVAH to lead my decision. Sir/Ma, I brought Honda civic 2002, manual transmission on jiji I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED FOR A SECONDS. Now am a die hard HONDA FAN. A friend name me Honda dáa pò. No leg pull for civic, to me it's more fuel efficient than Corolla ( Plz do ur research) Have ever ask yourself, if Honda is bad why do we still have many people driving Honda? Do your research well. Honda Civic, City, Jazz, Fit, Cr-v, Element, Accord (from 2008 Evil spirit) these are my passion. Toyota bye Please buy Toyota is a very good and reliable car. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT WRITE REVIEWS ON HONDA CIVIC ON NAIRALAND, THANKS SO MUCH FOR LEAD ME TO WAY FORWARD. quote author=Sharmeenator po84516509]Update: Whoever said Honda cars are not rugged should try a Civic. After a rather sad experience with an Honda Accord Baby Boy, I swore never to buy an Honda again. After series of consultations during the search for a replacement car, I was advised to buy a Civic. Thank God I adhered to that. Civics are great, especially from 03 upward. Performance wise and fuel economy, I give it to Civic.[/quote] |
