Good day forum mates and happy eid fitri to our Muslim brethren. What do you know about palm fronts install in a property like this? What does it signifies in your region? Here in south west especially in Ibadan, we call it Igaa, which makes it a taboo for anyone to enter into such farm sites or property where it has been installed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMJmy1RTaak

This is an experimental video on how to cut a yam mini-set and how to plant. Last year I tried it out planting some yam in a cement bag and the result was outrageously great. After harvest, I blamed myself for not having more than 5 sacks I had tested with but this year, I'm not taking any chance, its rainy season and not too late to plant yam so in this video, I have carefully shown how to cut a yam mini-set, how to treat it with wood ash and how to place it carefully inside your super-size ridges. You can as well try out planting inside sack if you have no access to a closed place like ours. Please don't forget to subscribe to this channel for more helpful tips. Happy planting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R8fX93S1WQ

Marry somebody who's strength can match up with your strength, support you when your strength is failing and see beyond the present. Here is a video of me and my sweetie pororo baby go hunting to plantain sucker we need to plant in our garden while the second video capture the moment we went to get some palm fronds to make shade for our nursery. Subsistence agriculture is capital intensive, while I appreciate my woman, I appreciate every other woman out their giving in their all to support their man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmbHqu_7FOQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaX9bpOXhf4 ` |

After spending 10 years in brood and sales of Noiler and Broiler, last year I paused to re-evaluate the business and it's future most especially because of my increasing responsibilities on family. My re-evaluation led to amazing discovery which made me realized that I can't continue doing the same thing and expect a difference especially when I cannot determine the price of feed neither the price of birds and it get crazier at some moment of the year when the bird becomes relatively expensive because a festive period is in view. I most definitely cannot quit the business I've done and mastered for over a decade, a business I've built connection for over 10 year but instead, I came up with a crazy idea of generating my chicks and feed and today, I'm working on setting up my own ranch. Here is a video of where it started, relax and watch, i'm open to advice and comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqkIwh4OqkM The whole ranch idea is captured in the video below, I am not seeking for any investor on the project so there is no point likened the project to some failed projects and ideas of some fraudulent individuals, I only seek goodwill donation from people who seek to support us on the project just as I said, I'm using direct labor and means I pause my business to focus on the ranch since the last one year and i've got family to feed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFVPkRW3p2E Here is a link to the comprehensive to the project https://www.nairaland.com/7069523/open-source-idea-regenerative-style. I'm looking forward to connect and share ideas with young farmers who may want to tow my path so they won't have to experience some certain things i've been through, though it's the core reason of coming to a forum and creating a channel to document the journey. Consistency is a key to success, consistency while moving in the right direction, slow and steady they say win the race. After our last video here got to front page https://www.nairaland.com/7086426/soft-bed-what-wife-when, a church member saw it and was very excited in what we are doing, he called and after gisting about some comments and all that, he asked if we will be interested in planting some cocoyam and yes of course, we accepted the offer and now we've resumed in clearing a portion to plant some cocoyam. Below is the video of the beautiful moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOpHuTQDfsw My name is Mide Oludipe and I am setting up a regenerative system of agriculture (plant and animal production/breeding) , it is an open source idea and I am looking forward to mentor young Nigerian who what to tow the same lane, here is a link to the idea as share here https://www.nairaland.com/7069523/open-source-idea-regenerative-style and below is the narrative video of the project idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFVPkRW3p2E We are open to donation of any product such as seed, plants and even animals. Thanks. |
OFFICIAL336:There is no similarities between our project compared to what Ovaiosa did, I'm not seeking public fund with the intention of doubling it but rather giving update on our project as seen on the channel https://www.youtube.com/africandiarytv and it's not just starting, I've been into brooding and sales of birds for over 10 years doing so from my back yard until early last year when day old chicks and feeds are so expensive and I don't see any reason to keep continue. https://youtube.com/shorts/N0Q31rSTxuo I understand people tend to fight what they don't understand but what separates intelligent people from mediocre is the ability to discern. |

How you people entrust fund in the hands of these people with no track record of running business amazes me! https://www.nairaland.com/7069523/open-source-idea-regenerative-style#111776214 |

Here is a link to my regenerative system of agriculture, an open source system and I am willing to partner with as many youths as possible to develop their farm site, partnering with them is to make their journey smooth while I share ideas and probably provide a remote mentorship. https://www.nairaland.com/7069523/open-source-idea-regenerative-style#111776214 |
Part of the suffering which I later called an experience as documented https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTca9gLpS-0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtWSHIF4ik4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4p_BIDeTag Don't give up, nobody will help you but it's not enough reason for you to give up! |
Last year, the farm which is about 3 minute drive from the main road had no access road, even walking too fast within the footpath that lead to the farm will result to some serious injuries from the thorns but today, it's a different story, because of our consistency and determination, we are able to move in and out with a more bigger road even though we are still determined to extend the road till it can accommodate 2 cars. In summary, be resilient, be determined, don't let people's negative thoughts get into you. Last year when I came up with this my regenerative style of agricultural/livestock farming, almost everybody I shared the idea with thought I've lost my mind, setting up the farm using direct labour means I will stop my brooding and sales business which the family has been sustaining on and the tough question my wife asked was how do we survive? Though I was unable to answer the question but we are surviving and the idea has gone beyond idea on paper to becoming a reality. Don't give up!
