This is how a palm tree is being uprooted and the uprooting fee ranges from five hundred naira (0.80$) to two thousand naira ($3.50) each. Guess the fee charged for the one captured in this video.
Look closely to his stomach, bulping, he probably has taken alot of alcohol before the official function and couldn't just stand up to relieve himself.
The original plan that brought us here was to start a regenerative agriculture starting with livestock production but staying here for a period of about 4 months changed the whole course to recalibrate the plan and reset for crop production especially everyday food like pepper, tomatoes and vegetables that would take lesser time to produce. #PossibleFarms
For instance, vegetable has 45 - 50 days of maturity, pepper has a total of 75 days before it will start fruiting same as tomatoes. With the low fund available to finance the livestock (poultry) further, we felt if we digress a little by clearing a portion of the farm especially the very thick forest that has been a cover for those who poisoning our farm that it's a welcome idea. #RegenerativeAgriculture
The whole process is captured below and I hope you find the experience very informative. Please do kindly subscribe to our channel and give us a thumb up.

This week I was in the market to scout for our product competitors and use the opportunity to see our major buyer during the experimental stage of our Regenerative Agriculture (brood and sales). She was excited and can't wait to have us back while we both check out the best new location to cite our stand.

Syphax: But have you found the animal's dead body?
I wouldn't waste my energy on it because we are powerfully advancing the project and I'm all by myself to supervise and support where necessary, expending energy looking it is a luxury I can't afford.
This is perhaps my first update after the terrible alien-like atack on the farm, here is the link https://www.nairaland.com/7451844/which-wild-animal-could-ripped just in case you miss it and as this week began, it kicked off with some activities lined up to further secure the ranch, a tough work that would have cost me thousands of naira to achieve.
And what's the task all about? Digging out palm trees from the soil. Perhaps one of the most difficult farm task quite also difficult to find a professional that do the job without hiking their fee as though there is no fixed fee for it.
So what did I do? I simply became a friend with a palm wine tapper, invited him to look round the farm to look for dis-stunted palm trees and those with poor attributes, make deal on collecting raw palm wine, he takes the morning own, I take the evening, then I look for a street palm-wine seller, ask if he has ever tasted a real palm wine and told him I can supply a certain quantity as from a certain date.
So the cycle involve a village palm wine tapper have some palm trees chopped off while he work on tapping them, paid for the process of uprooting, worked on it himself to have it dressed, tap the wines and give me a percentage. The question is what do I want to do with some much wine so I look for a city merchant who need the raw wine to disstill more palm wine, city version . All deals went, everyone is happy.
Entrepreneurship is all about problem solving or attempting to solve just one problem at a time which mostly leads to the ability of having capacity to solve derivative problems of the current problem at hand.
I hope you've learnt something. Video coming soon.

onuman: You refused to say the location. Useless reporter and report. A fox is suspect.
Felt my location isn't important at a moment ni baba, I already put alot out about myself, on a good day if Seun would follow my advice of giving verified badge to some members here, I shouldn't struggle too much to get one.
Spandau: Wow! First off, it's not the handiwork of a hyena. Even a single big one will finish the whole goat. Besides, they hunt in packs and your entire livestock would have gone by now. Definitely not a wolf because they don't exist in Africa. Jackals, foxes? Too greedy for this kind of a methodic consumption. They would have ripped open the belly and created a mess after killing the goat. You would have heard some noises too because the goat would have put up a struggle.
Whatever did this is definitely an obligate carnivore. A cat. Not a leopard, juvenile or mature. You would have recorded killings every now and then. And probably no carcass left save hooves and head. Infact you may never see the carcass because the leopard will have carried it away. Not a cheetah because they seldom hunt alone. You would have seen just the head and hooves.
It's definitely a smaller cat. An "ehana". Most likely a caracal. This cat killed only your sick animals because they are weak and slow. It couldn't drag or carry them so it consumed the goat right there. It ate all the flesh on the neck, shoulders and part of the back. It also ate the lungs, the heart and liver deep into the carcass. That means the goat was bigger than it for it's head to fit into the body from the chest region. It's definitely a wild cat.
You might not be too far from the truth because something else just happened tonight, the process meats put inside netlike cage to dry on fire went missing, saw the cage with almost nothing inside and I rule out the possiblity of any serious wild animal other than cat, dog or stray dog who probably stay close to the house only to hunt when there is no human movement.
kelvine: I know almost nothing about this, reading gives a good feeling that the world is a very big place with several professionals.
Are you guys not scared of being attacked by this animals?
Na condition make us enter into the wild as per say we no fit commit crime, months ago when I was hearing several gun shot close to us, I went to the community chief to ask why there are such several gun shot during the day and at night, he smiled and said it is actually for our protection that the wild animals tend to move closer to river and hunt close to settlements during the dry season and that's exactly what we are experiencing.
Ransomware: If you have nor disturbed the crime scene, first thing you should look for is prints, any foot print that is not from the goat should be the first direction you look at
No visible prints, we are in dry season and the terrain here is solid clayey soil littered with dried leaves.
Originalsly: Bro .... you need to know the predator .... your mind seem to be set that perimeter fencing is the solution. Do you really believe fencing can keep out a big cat?... that knows where preys are kept? ... don't underestimate the abilities and strength and instincts of wild animals. My advice is to ask the hunters what animal they think it is .... and how to trap it. Most likely... you'll have to provide a goat as bait. Whatever the animal.... he will return.
Our game plan is to fence the perimeter then deal with the Intruders by feeding them poisons, since we know what they like most
phorget: I need to spend some times in the forest, could these people living inside forest be my host please!?
I'm trying to make this place liveable and probably would be hosting people for a short stay while we relate and probably expand business, like a resort type.
