Any word?

Naijaforeigner:
Bro, this Canada visa process is “tormenting” mentally. You need to see how I check every minute. The status change occurred this afternoon. We shall testify.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 4:56pm On Aug 07, 2018
Beats me,honestly. Some people just come here and say different things.

harde116:
How did you know 70% have gotten responses if you are only sure of two people? What a way to draw conclusion.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 12:06pm On Aug 07, 2018
Thank you oo!!!.

amozag2018:
I don't agree with you... I applied May 29th and did my biometrics 1st of June. However, no response yet from CIC not even the medical call.Today makes the 10th week, I have sent them an email this morning and I am looking forward to their response
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 11:54am On Aug 07, 2018
Please let us stick to what we know and can defend.Too much speculations on this forum already. Do you know any online applicant personally that has been refused and went quiet?.

makano:
I agree to this, this is related to what i said some days back, most June applicants have gotten their final decision but they are silent maybe cos their final decision wasnt favourable, hence the reason for the silence. Cos like we all know July applicants are already getting final decisions not to talk of June. Maybe refusals are more than approvals thats why June applciants have been silent. For those still expecting a final decision, it shall end in praise.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 8:39am On Aug 07, 2018
I doubt!!!

Lagos2canna:
The canadian embassy is aware that school resumes in September, just pray you get a favorable decision on your application. Monday was good, Tuesday will be better. Most June online applicants have gotten final decision but they are silent. Why?

Ratawu,

Please how long does the medical procedure take?

Ratawu:
If you call them for an appointment, they will give you a long date.
JUST GO THERE WITH YOUR FAMILY VERY EARLY ON MONDAY BEFORE 7AM. YOU WILL BE ATTENDED TO.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 10:50pm On Aug 03, 2018
Really?... hmm. Puzzled!!!

Frankrobbn1:
You shouldn't compare your application with those that recently got their visas because they are PHd applicants. PhD applications are generally fast in getting response.

Be hopeful!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 10:23pm On Aug 03, 2018
This app thingy is funny!!! July online applicants have started getting updates and approval. June applicants nothing

CONGRATULATIONS to all TRV recipients. Good luck in your next phase.

Was just about to send you a message, when I saw this. It appears there is progress on your app and they are reviewing if you are eligible for the program you applying for, I guess.

Naijaforeigner:
I think my status has changed. I noticed my review of eligibility has started.

Can the gurus tell me what this means? Review of eligibility has started but background checks still ongoing at the same time?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 4:13pm On Aug 02, 2018
Congrats, another paper route June applicant.

MizGee:
Very long post alert.
Silent Follower here, since my first application in 2017 which was denied. I found this thread after submitting and realised I hadn’t put in a good enough application (it was also for a PGD), so it was no surprise when it got denied.
I re-applied on June 13 ‘18 (paper route) with upfront medicals. Medicals got updated about a week later and eligibility review began 3 weeks ago. I logged-in this morning and found it to have been approved. I had contacted VFS yesterday and been informed that it was on transit, so I was expecting the update today.
I’m going for a Master’s in Environmental Management at USask, Fall ‘18 session. I submitted:
The application forms
My sponsor’s (father) SOAs with balances of 11M naira and between 10-15 USD (I don’t remember the exact figure)
Sponsorship letter/ affidavit
Statement from family friends in Saskatoon, stating that they’d cover my accommodation/ living expenses.
Tuition fee receipt of 5k (USask had asked for the deposit)
Employment/ promotion letters, pension certificate, study leave letter from workplace (civil service), work ID
Land documents
Police certificate
An SOP detailing why I was pursuing an MSc in a totally different field from my current employment. Studied Microbiology (2010) but worked in Data Collection as a civil servant for nearly 5 years now
LOE addressing the concerns raised in the GCMS notes for the previous application
Educational certificates (BSc, WAEC, etc)

These are the documents I recall submitting, off the top of my head.

I would like to hookup with other USask people going this Fall, please PM me (I hope I’m able to figure out how that work), thanks.

This is very vague!!

Are you a June/July online applicant?. Or how do you know this?

Lagos2canna:
Background check is currently ongoing for June and July online applicants
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 10:50am On Aug 02, 2018

Bukella:

Reapplied June 19th, I got assurance from God my second application will be approved in 6 weeks
Medical request on 11th july
Application approved August 2nd.

Will share my profile later.
Please don't feel discouraged to try again. Do all needed and leave the rest to God. Don't force it!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 10:45am On Aug 02, 2018
Beyond no doubt, there is something wrong somewhere with online applications. We have seen another June and even July paper route updates. Some online applicants from May are still waiting, June applicants the same thing. I just pray and hope it all ends well.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 9:15am On Aug 02, 2018
Congrats. Online?

uyplus:
Medical mail just dropped. June 11 applicant.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 8:47am On Aug 02, 2018
Sorry for the denial. When did you apply?. Online or Paper?

hurricanesgrace:
OK, I just checked my application and discovered have being refused TRV for the 3rd time. Saying bye to studying in Canada. Moving on. Thanks to all the gurus in the house. You guys are doing a geat job..cheers
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 7:23am On Aug 02, 2018
So we have someone not on this Forum, who applied online on the 2nd June and picked up his passport in July. Hmm

ntachi:
He did medicals ahead.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 11:21am On Aug 01, 2018
Does anyone know any person OUTSIDE this forum that applied for a study visa in June through the online route and has gotten an update either refusal or medical request?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 9:25am On Aug 01, 2018
Oh,my apologies.

Biakwa:
Dear mightyola,

Dara was denied student visa. Not a medical call
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 8:42am On Aug 01, 2018
You were called for medicals on 23rd and you applied on the 20th of June?.

Is this your first application?.

Dera12345:
I applied on 20th of June , and was called on 23rd of July..

My school is starting on September 4th
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 5:06pm On Jul 31, 2018
I think its just a general update, and does not guarantee a medical request or an approval.

But by HIS grace, it will all end with PRAISE!!!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 2:44pm On Jul 31, 2018
This is the 4th week for your app right?.

Naijaforeigner:
No major update. The only change I noticed just now was a new section was added under the aplicant information which was the details of biometrics. I applied via paper route and did biometrics same day.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 1:01pm On Jul 31, 2018
Hmm..Maybe I should walk in there and see if I can Charm her to talk...LOL. Right now, I am confused.

Thanks for the info

amozag2018:
I called the phone number of "The Childrens Practice and the Consultants Practice", in Ikoyi to book an appointment for next week Monday 6th of August (The next available date) for my medicals but the lady I spoke to advice that I wait for CIC to send me the request if not I am going to delay myself because the people who went that route are having issues. When I tried digging further she did not give more details about it. For me I have agreed to wait for one week before contacting them.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 12:41pm On Jul 31, 2018
Thanks. I resume on the 3rd of Sept. This is my second deferment. Please indulge me, is this the link to the CSE webform, so as to begin the process.

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

jnyuwa02:
I really would if time is running out! I will advice you send that using the CSE, as evidence seems to show they are been accepted. I reported helping an applicant last week to send his. We did so with a little note reminding them he is racing against time as his resumption is September 05 and it’s the last time he is allowed to defer. He applied July 12th. He too was among June applicants that were updated this morning with biometrics change.
