lovediehatelive: So I decided to spend the weekend at my uncle's place because it has been many years I went there.
In the midnight, around 1am, I heard the television was on and I thought he forget to put it off.
So I went to the living room only to see his son of about 4-5 years old watching cartoon. I was shocked and asked him to go and sleep, which he grudgingly agreed.
Now, early morning around 5am or so, same thing happened. I want to the living room and saw him there.
This time he refused to go to bed.
I later found out that's how he does. I wonder if he ever sleeps at night.
The parents are not even bothered, but I'm worried. When we were growing up, who are you to stay awake past 9pm watching TV? Not to talk about waking up at night. Even in the day time you better not be caught idling away on front of the TV when others are busy.
This one just comes to the living room anytime he likes and puts on the TV.
Is this how kids of nowadays behave? The same for my boy, though older now in senior secondary school. He developed that attitude since primary school days. Because of the nature of my work, I am not always around them (You Month-end husbands). Immediately I noticed that, I demobilized all televisions at home. I mean no connection to electricity and will remain like that until after his SSCE which by the grace of God is two years away. There must be discipline for a future. |

IhateYouMan: A pagan man has 3 wives. The first wife has 4 children, the second wife has 2 children and the third wife has only one child. They all live together in a common compound where each wife and her children dwell in separate small houses. The man lives in the main house and each wife visits him and cooks for him once a week.
This pagan man then gets to know Jesus Christ and becomes BORN AGAIN.
What should he do with his marriages ? Keep the first wife and send the other two packing or leave things as they are ?
If he leaves things as they are, would church members not think that it is a good thing to marry more than one wife ?
Please help me here. If you are not born again yourself, inherit the other two. When you become born again yourself ، cede the younger to your neighbour. |

Lukuluku69: Isaiah 1:1-10 (KJV) The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
Prophet Isaiah was one the major Prophet of Israel. He prophesied for both the Judean Kingdom as well as the breakaway Northern Kingdom of Israel comprising the 10 breakaway Tribes just after the Death of King Solomon.
Reading thru his prophecies, he detailed the conditions of the Israelites Nation presently as well as lay the future outlook for them.
According to the words he gave, the Israel Nation is that of Children nurtured by God Himself but have continually rebelled. Even Animals know their owners Crib much less a people given to repeated Messengers and Warner haven lived amongst them. For their rebellion, they were punished repeatedly. Wars, famine, exile etc were their lots.
Sometimes, they repent and after a while, they backslide.
So. When you go thru Isaiah from Chapter One to the last, you will see a clear cut theme of a Prophet Lamentations about his Nations woes, mostly self induced ones and God's vows of Punishment and ultimately the restoration of their lost glory.
I would have love to go thru them one after the other but it is the same story, but ultimately, God abandoned them!
God abandoned them and this abandonment warnings were a recurring theme all thru the Bible but many a Bible reader never pay much attention to it because the Jewish Doctors have doctored their Records so much so that they alone understand it. Unfortunately, the Christians inherited a doctored version of the Jewish story and believed it to be the Truth. Daniel 2/7 never justify Islam but put Islam as instrument of punishment and His ' saints ' will be given the land at last. Where will Islam stand? |

Each group hold their allegiance to the prophet of their choice they only use Jesus as cover up! To Deeperlife Kumuyi is their prophet, to Redeem Adeboye is their prophet, to Cele Oshoffa is their prophet, to Winners Oyedepo is their prophet, to Christ Embassy Oyakilome is their prophet, to Chosen Mouka is their prophet, to CAC Babalola is their prophet.
I can go on and on as each of these different religions hold their allegiance to the prophet of their choice so when you quote Jesus they will quote their preferred prophet to counter what Jesus commanded yet they will still tell you they're for Jesus, that's exactly what those claiming Muslims are doing as well.
Ask any Muslim if they don't believe in Jesus as sent by God if they will say "NO" but the prophet they subscribe to is Muhammad just like all others do! JW, T. C. Russell is their prophet. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is There Any Biblical Prophecy About Rise Of Islam? by MightySparrow(op): 8:28am On Jul 26, 2023 |
MaxInDHouse: The only evidence of Islam in the Bible could be linked to Jesus' parable of the sower where an enemy (Satan) came to sow weeds in the farm when men were sleeping! Matthew 13:24-25
Jesus is the sower who showed fine seeds in the field {Matthew 13:37} the field is the world and the enemy is Satan {Matthew 13:38} after Jesus' ascension to heaven Satan made sure that all the apostles were killed {Revelations 12:17} so that none of them will be alive to say a word against the weeds (false religions initiated by Satan) that's why Jesus said "when men were sleeping" because the apostles (men) were all sleeping in death by the time Satan's agents began establishing false religions claiming Christians. Islam came much later but ironically this one also claim it has a connection with Christ Jesus yet everything Jesus taught about how to make peace or pursue peace was ruled out in Islam as Muhammad was desperately protecting his own life even at the expense of those following him.
So don't think Satan's weeds are pagan traditions NO rather they're different religions claiming Abrahamic faith and saying they have a connection with Jesus, the illustration says it's Jesus' farm so there are many religions belonging to Satan that's claiming they're connected to Jesus. Any religion that's not saying they're connected to Jesus aren't part of those Jesus is referring to in that illustration after all they're not inside Jesus' farm: having anything to do with the story of Jesus! Anyway, that is not what I was asking. |

MaxInDHouse: Why would Jesus appear to Paul instead of his disciples to preach to Paul?
Because Paul was a good man (at heart) but has been poisoned by the Pharisaical school that taught the Jews to hate Christians with passion and the group hasn't gone far for anyone to see how great they will become when they're fulfilling God's purpose! Isaiah 2:2-4 So, there are no good people now or Jesus is no more? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Your First Encounter With Jesus Christ by MightySparrow: 8:02am On Jul 26, 2023 |
MaxInDHouse: Paul has a solid background for discipleship!
He enrolled in the pharisaical training school under a reputable Pharisee named "Gamaliel" {Act 22:3} Gamaliel was the Pharisees who stand out among the 71 members of the Jewish high court to speak in favour of the first century Jewish disciples of Christ! Act 5:33-40
So Paul had the heart to do God's will he was only a lost sheep in the midst of unbelieving Jews {Matthew 10:6} that's why it was easy for him to humbly accept joining Jesus' disciples as a new convert and trashed all his glory in the rabbinical Jewish system. Act 9:26 He began following the teaching of the apostles as one of the new converts, his own disciples who has been with him knew that he is a good man so they helped him escape from the hands of the Jews that wanted to kill him for joining the disciples of Christ! Act 9:23-25
Finally Barnabas took him to the apostles and what do you think he went there to do?
Ọmọ he began following them not just start his own church like most people will tell you today.
So Jesus Christ actually called Paul to go and join his already established group where he will be told how to go about Christianity which he did! Act 9:6 This is a digression from your own position. Why would Jesus appear to Paul while His disciples were preaching? Why wouldn't He allow the disciples to reach him like Cornelius? You see this dishonesty in biblical interpretation. |
