Without ambiguity? Possible. I've got more male friends than female friends (not to 'act like everyone') but most of them are gay. One of my heterosexual friends, I've known him since high school and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing between us. There is NO attraction whatsoever. I even met him before I met my boyfriend. The other one, yes, at first it was really weird. There was an attraction but it's all gone now. We are just friends. It was 'hard work' though.
The whole 'I can be friends with a guy with 0 attraction' is a little absurd. In general there is attraction at first. It only dies down when both parties get to know each other and mutually decide to remain friends.
