You are right ✅️. Ghana is the most gloomy and sad country on earth. Everyone is sad in that place. Too many poor people that can't even afford to feed on daily basis. Zero value for money and they literally get angrier immediately they know you are from Nigeria. Very shitty place. I won't allow my dog to spend a night in that horrible place.
All these you typed are figments of your imagination.
It may be very difficult to live peacefully outside your country if you don't respect your hosts when you travel to another man's country.
The last time I checked, Nigeria's poverty level is one of the highest in the world.

I'm going to Ghana( Accra) Next week. Whats the best Road bus from Lagos to pick and how much?

My I. Passport is not ready, Can NIN ONLY work?

What and what do i need to have in mind?

Thanks
Some of the best road transport companies are GUO, Cross Country, GIGM, Chisco etc.
You can travel with your NIN card, but the transport fares is charged based on whether you have international passport or not.
Without passport, budget at least N90k. With passport is about N85k.
Try to have your Yellow (immunization) card and Ecowas card, if possible as they make your travel easier but they not compulsory.
When you get to Ghana, you are not allowed to stay for more than 90 days before you return to Nigeria.
Obey their laws, respect your hosts, put aside the lawless, reckless behaviour and attitude we are used to in Nigeria and be civil.
Ghanaians are naturally gentle, loving, accommodating and friendly to visitors/strangers, but the attitude of some Nigerians living in Ghana is making them react nowadays.

It remains a wonderment, how this coastal highway became a priority for Tinubu, amidst all the pressing issues in the country.

Why not instead, maintain the existing road linking Lagos to Calabar, and channel the money to solving more pressing issues.
He chose to do the coast road just for bragging sake!
He said it during the launch of the project in Lagos!

No, the principles of moments would apply.
Consider the distance between point of application of force (load) and the fulcrum or hinge.
No 3 would carry the heaviest load as the weight is less cushioned.

His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) brilliance and intelligence has always been exceptional from inception.

An upright student with clear and defined goals who excelled in almost everything if not everything.

Those qualities got him to where he stands today and playing the most vital part of his political dynasty.

Why majority cannot deny and have accepted that he is definitely a demigod-The last of his kind.

It will be of great honor if the Nigerian constitution can be amended to mandate and compel all Nigerians to have a portrait of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) in their living rooms.
The same Tinubu that cannot state categorically or provide any evidence of the primary and secondary schools he attended? No classmate(s) in primary and secondary school?

Crypto Shock → Flight to Safety

The recent crypto market crash in early October 2025, triggered by renewed Donald Trump tariff announcements and risk-off sentiment, caused a sharp liquidation of speculative assets like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies .

This event revived a flight to safety, as investors globally shift away from volatile, unfamiliar digital assets into traditional stores of value such as gold and equities.

For Nigerian investors, this trend is particularly relevant: as the government’s new tax policy and macro uncertainties weigh on investors confidence, investors appetite.

Why the Flight to Safety Favors Gold — and Gold Equities

The shift away from crypto will drive massive institutional and retail buying of gold, reinforcing its role as a safe-haven asset that protects value during uncertainty.

• Spot gold recently broke $4,000/oz for the first time, now up ~55% year-to-date, as central banks, governments, and high-net-worth individuals increase their gold holdings to hedge against, market shock, inflation, sanctions, and policy risk.

• Unlike digital assets, gold’s demand base — from central banks to jewelers to reserve managers — makes this rally structural and long term.

Why Gold Companies Benefit More Than Gold Itself

• Operating Leverage: Gold miners have largely fixed extraction costs. Every rise in gold price directly boosts profit margins, creating earnings growth much larger than the metal’s price increase.

• Cash Flow Advantage: Unlike crypto, miners convert rising gold prices into dividends, buybacks, and debt reduction, offering tangible returns.

Why Japaul (NGX: JAPAULGOLD) Is Nigeria’s Gateway to the Gold Boom

• Ticker: NGX: JAPAULGOLD

• Position: The only NGX-listed company with direct exposure to gold production — through subsidiaries Covenant Gems Ltd and H&H Mines Ltd — making it the clear local proxy for the global gold rally.

• Financial Snapshot:
• Market Cap: ₦37–₦38 billion
• EPS (TTM): ₦0.12 P/E: ~22x
• Dividend (FY2024): ₦0.04/share
• Strategic Advantage: As gold prices remain high, Japaul’s revenue potential strengthens due to stable production costs and the global demand surge from central banks, high-net-worth investors, and governments.

• The same flight to safety pushing global investors toward gold is expected to re-rate Japaul’s valuation on the Nigerian Exchange, especially as domestic investors seek regulated exposure to this global trend.

BUY – Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc (NGX: JAPAULGOLD)

For investors seeking domestic exposure to the global safe-haven rotation, Japaul offers leveraged participation, inflation protection, and potential for sustained capital appreciation.
I don't think Japaul is in the league of these big-time, multinational Gold mining companies

If the MARKET eventually crash to the lowest ebb, it's will be an OPPORTUNITY for long-term SHAREHOLDERS to buy MORE.

Then PATIENTLY wait for it to RECOVER even if it's in 50ys time .

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!
It is becoming doubtful to me if the CGT would be implemented the way it is currently captured in the new tax law.
The market has some big time institutional investors and players and I doubt if they would just sit aloof and allow the govt collect about 23% to 30% of their gain as CGT.

The real trouble will start when it's time for hamas to disarm, all the terror tunnels will be destroyed, easy way or hard way, Isreal will prefer the hard way. 1900 released? They will be back there soonest. Hope you understand IDF controls 58% of gaza.
The IDF effectively controlled 75% of Gaza, but had to pull back a little for the peace deal.
The end of Hamas has come, whether they accept to disarm or not. No country can talk if Israel unleashes hell on them if they refuse to disarm.
The peace deal is on Israel's terms and Hamas has no option than to obey or be crushed.

If not, the war will continue in few weeks/months! Hamas can no longer be allowed to exist and carry weapons in Gaza.

Both are correct.

The point is to exit your low cost position and rebase it to current price levels.
As long as you exit in 2025, you can re enter either in 2025 or 2026, both work, your PRESCO cost price will be taken as 1400 instead of 80.
I think the best way to achieve this is by a concrete cross-deal agreement/arrangement with your stockbrokers such that you give them both the buy/sell instructions and they would buy from you and again resell back to you, instead of selling to/buying from the larger market. The only thing you pay would then be the commissions on buy/sell.
You can keep rolling over this arrangement until you decide to sell and withdraw cash at your convenient time

Exactly.
My hope is that they would not enforce it.
Guess what, there has been a similar CGT law in existence with N100m threshold (instead of the N150m in the new Act), and it was never enforced.

You're right, repurchasing as I've put it in that example is completely redundant (actually sub optimal).

But I was talking from the perspective of someone who doesn't want to leave the market.

The core point is: if you lock in your gains in 2025: any new tax estimate would be based on your new purchase price in 2026 if you remain in the market. So that really helps everyone with low purchase price who are not ready to exit their positions yet.
Theoretically speaking, you are correct.
But there is no guarantee that one would be able to buy back in 2026 the exact units that was sold in 2025. So, there could still be significant ''losses'' in terms of volume.
And if everybody is to sell off in 2025, it could definitely lead to crash in stock prices and potential losses even before you buy back in 2026.
This is part of uncertainties and issues that would mess up the market if this govt does not stop the CGT nonsense.

This is clear indication of the fact that there is some religious angle to the conflict.
Yet some people would want to pretend and deny the religious angle to the conflict between Israel and its neigbhours.

Ask yourself: why are most Muslims, especially the Shiite sect, always against Israel?

This is good, but Israeli supporters in Nigeria will not be happy with this development
Israel and Israeli supporters are happy because the war is ending on Israel's terms: Hamas must disarm and leave Gaza. Otherwise they will receive wotowoto from Israel.
IDF troops are still stationed in Gaza and yesterday Hamas fighters that attempted to attack IDF from a tunnel were shot and killed.
So Hamas is the one at the losing end. IDF has encircled them inside Gaza!
