Everything has been moving on fine in the NGX. Until someone became president.

There is a saying in Yoruba that (paraphrasing) if a family (or community) is living in peace, love, harmony etc. it is because the troublesome ones (or outcasts) are yet to grow and become adults or leaders.

Illiterate nigerians you mean. Working class nigerians known the value of union and how it protects the workforce. Is dangote the only Oil company in nigeria? Agip, SPDC, Total, Shell, OandO don't have a problem with their workers, its dangote. Who dangote epp?
Which of the oil companies you mentioned has a refinery operating in Nigeria? Why are they all refusing to establish a local refinery if you think it is easy?
They are all operating in the upstream sector where they make coo; money for themselves by exporting crude oil and importing refined products which do not create mass jobs to help the masses. So don't compare them with Dangote's refinery which has a more positive impact on developing local capacity along the value chain in the oil/gas industry. The refinery alone can produce several by-products for use in various industries.

Who was there prior to 1948 before the state of Israel was declared?
Why limit yourself to only 1948? Did the history of the land of Israel begin from 1948, or that is the year that suits the lies that you believe in?.
Was Jerusalem founded in 1948? Was Bethlehem, Hebron, Beersheba founded in 1948?
The kings like David, Solomon ruled over the land of Israel, including Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria etc. Was it in 1948? The David and Solomon that are both mentioned in the Bible and Koran. Was it in 1948?
You people like to deceive and believe in obvious lies just for the hatred of the Jews and Israel.

The former is your fundamental human rights as a sovereign nation

The latter is broad day light thievery and provocation

You can say no to terrorists without killing innocent children.
Innocent people are starving and losing years they cannot recover.
You cant cut short the lives of innocent people because you want to attack some terrorists.
If a terrorist take cover around you and your childrens location someday, should your life and that of your children be disrupted because of what you know nothing about
Israel has been taking steps to avoid civilian deaths. The IDF constantly send text messages, fliers, announcements etc warning the civilian populations to evacuate whenever they plan to attack a particular location or target. They have been doing this since the beginning of the war. This act is uncommon all over the war. I have never heard or seen any military that gives advance notice of their movements. It is even dangerous and can work against the interest and security of their solders. It is probably one of the reasons the war has dragged on because it gives Hamas the opportunity to run away and plan their moves. But the IDF has been doing this to minimize civilian casualty., otherwise the death toll could have been much worse than what it is now.

What do you have to say about Hamas attack on Israel, Or is it impressive too?
All these do not bother the steely resolve of Israel.
Those who are boycotting have never experienced brutal attacks from six or seven neigbhouring countries at the time time, so they dont understand what Israel if facing.
US, a big country with over 300million people went after Osama Bin Ladin to far away Pakistan because 3,000 its citizen were killed in the 9/11 attack.
Compare that ratio to that of Israel, a small country of about 10million having 1,200 citizens slaughtered like chickens in broad day light.
War is not a good thing, and it is very regrettable that innocent civilians are affected.
But Hamas deserves to be crushed ruthlessly by Israel. They even jubilated and celebrated the attack on Israel, and unfortunately the Palestinian civilian population also joined them to celebrate. So sad!

What do you mean by full monopoly? Has Dangote stopped anybody from building a refinery? Go build your refinery and employee union members.
Unionism is not a bad thing, it can be very helpful to employees. But it was very stupid of NUPENG and PENGASSAN to try to hijack Dangote's business and impose their rules on him, less than 1 year after he started operating his refinery. Where were they when he risked his resources, borrowing $20b and struggling to build the refinery? Did they form union to assist him in anyway? Nonsense!

Bro, this is not about Lafarge but the entity. Lafarge is just a name of the entity at a particular point. It has been Wapco.
Even now, it can be changed to Huaxin if the new owners like.
The point here is that, that entity has been in Nigeria for over 60 years and has repatriated money out of Nigeria for most of those years before deciding to have boots on ground.
You see, I understand all what you have said. But it is necessary to draw the line and put things in proper perspective..
For instance, if Huaxin should take over, you cannot say Huaxin has been repatriating money from Nigeria to China for more than 60years.. You have to start counting from when they took over. That is my point.

Banning a man who has not visited you, and does not have any plan to visit is a waste of time. Lol. As long as the US is behind Israel, nothing una go fit do.

The issue here is that the US may likely break away from NATO if Trump's ideology stays in the US for like a decade. It only takes someone who believes in what he does to have 2 full terms, and the US might likely break away from the UN and even NATO, or there is a total change of the system in both organisations.

These NATO nations are funny. They aren't pressing their members still buying oil from Russia that is doing the same thing they are accussing Israel of. And infact that of Russia isn't self defence while Israel can still argue that that last year attack provoked them to move into full blown self defence. Una never ready for peace at all.

Na only Africa, other poor nations in Asia, and other continents dem go dey use test their power.

A beg....joor!
All that Israel needs to do now, is to defeat Hamas and take full control of Gaza, simple! Nothing will happen.
Key countries like US and Germany are still Israel's allies. There will be change of govts in the other countries that have recognized Palestine and the meaningless recognition will be reversed by most of them.
How do you recognize a country that has no existence on sovereign land in reality?

His core point wasn't to establish when lafarge started repatriating money. That was not the substance of his argument.

His point is that Lafarge(as well as some other foreign companies) preferred to repatriate profit rather to build capacity here like the locals did.

The timeline of when that happened is secondary.
He said Lafarge has been repatriating money from Nigeria to France for over 60 years. So telll me how that was possible if Lafarge came into Nigeria 25 years ago.
It is better he says Lafarge has been repatriating money since they came into Nigeria 25 years ago, not 60years. That is my point

In that 25 years they were bigger than CCNN, what stopped them from maintaining the lead

Whereas CCNN got a new core investor 16 years ago and then rebranded to BUA cement and now bigger than Lafarge.

Hope you remember the financial mistake made by Lafarge when they bought a business in South Africa which created a debt of about N100 billion
You seem not to understand when a company can be accused of repatriating money from one country to another.
If a company had not invested in Nigeria, how could it be accused of repatriating money from Nigeria?

BUA bought Cement Company of Northern Nigeria in 2009

Lafarge became the core of WAPCO in 2001.

Yet Lafarge is playing catch up.

WAPCO used to have a core investor who was political exposed and directors and board members were chosen from representatives of Western Nigeria. The company was not efficiently managed until it was sold to Lafarge.

Prior to the coming of BUA into CCNN and merger of both businesses, Lafarge was bigger.
All what you typed above are irrelevant to the matter in contention.

I referred to your comment that Lafarge was mostly repatriating money to France in over 60 years that they had been in Nigeria instead of investing in Nigeria.
And my point is, you cannot say they have been in Nigeria for 60 years because Lafarge only acquired WAPCO in 2001, which is just about 25 years ago, and they could only repatriate money from Nigeria to France after that acquisition.
There was no French (Lafarge) ownership in WAPCO in 1959-2000 so they could not have repatriated money to France during that time.

Odu Investment owned owned the industrial estates at Ilupeju, Ikeja, Ogba , Isolo and also owned shares in all the companies in the estate.

Lafarge Africa is more than 60 years in Nigeria

Find below the answer from chatgpt
So how did they ''repatriate money to France'' (according to your earlier post) between 1959 to 2000 when it was owned by Western Govt of Nigeria?
If you want to talk about repatriating money to France, then you have to begin the discussion from when Lafarge (a French company) acquired the company, and not when the company was operating as a Nigerian entity.

It was reluctantly listed.

Listing was part of the agreement for them to settle the issues they had with FGN..

Because they were repatriating profit to South Africa might also be another reason why they are highly leveraged.

Lafarge Africa was in Nigeria for about 60 years, but never invest heavily in Nigeria busy repatriating profit to France now they are playing catch up with Dangote Cement and BUA cement who are younger than Lafarge in the industry.

Same with Mobil Oil, Total Energy (down stream), they enjoyed subsidy windfall from 1993 to 2023, but never had a reserve which they could use to build a refinery in Nigeria, with the coming of Dangote Refinery and end of fuel subsidy, they will struggle for survival and profitability
I don't think Lafarge Africa had been in Nigeria for 60 years.
The company was originally founded and operated as West African Portland Cement (WAPCO), owned by Western Nigeria Government, before Lafarge acquired it in 2001.

The Canaanites tribe are extinct. And the Palestinians are Arabs and not Canaanites.

Arabs cannot hijack the land of Israel from the Jews by any form just because they want to be custodians of the religious sites and holy olaces as mentioned in The Bible and Koran

They've been there before Israel established their kingdom. Forget about all the lies you hear.
Intermarriage happens in all nation does not mean they're not the descendant of ancient philistine.
The two state solution recognise the fact that they were the earliest settlers.

The complex demographic history of Palestine has been influenced by several historical occurrences and migrations. The region was home to diverse ethnic groups and populations over centuries. During the Bronze Age, the region of Palestine was mainly inhabited by Canaanites, who mainly established themselves in fortified cities, as well as various Semitic nomadic groups such as the Shasu.[49][50][51][52][53] Following the Late Bronze Age collapse c. 1200–1150 BC, and the consequent advent of the Iron Age, the Israelites emerged in the central highlands establishing settlements throughout the country, founding the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, while the Philistines settled along the coastal strip of what became known as the Philistine pentapolis.[54][55] The Israelite kingdoms came to an abrupt end under the Assyrians and the Babylonians, and the period of Babylonian exile set in until the exilic return during the Persian period.
So with all what you typed, where does it tell you that places like Bethlehem, Hebron, Beersheba, Jerusalem etc belong to the so called Palestinians?
