Agbalowomeri: But people already hit the jackpot or which jackpot are you still waiting for? Oando already did 20 baggers from 5 to 100 Some bought recently around N40-N60 to get the share redistribution bonus and may be waiting for the next rally from news of good results, Angola oil bloc, T&T refinery etc. |

zendi: Because it is the penny stock of the big 3 (Oando, Arade, Seplat) in unit price; the most traded, most attractive to short termites (jijoists) at it's present price among other things.
I think Oando has been the most controversial stock on the NGX since the days of ConocoPhillips acquisition. I agree perfectly! |

In case there is anybody who doesn't know, crude oil is Oando's chief product.
But Hamas will never repent. And Israel will never relent.
Therefore oil, and Oando, might not crash too low.
Bargain hunters take note. Aradel, Conoil, Oando, Seplat etc! Why always Oando? |

Was Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup in SA where FIFA made huge revenues? Stop arrogating undeserved credits to any team. Even if a team like England misses the world cup, FIFA will generate its revenue and make huge gains as usual, not to talk of Nigeria! |

The truth remains, whether you are here at home or in the diaspora, wishing the country doom will not do anyone any good. For those abroad who think they are already in El dorado, remember, you have kiths and kins here. Remember also, that whether it is A or B that can do it well, you can only benefit from either only if you are close to them. Bad mouthing the country has never and will never bring progress and prosperity.
Kudos once again. So when Tinubu in opposition was criticizing the govts and policies of OBJ and Jonathan, he was wishing doom for the country? It is strange how people fail to differentiate between love for country and criticism of policies of a govt. |

machine606: Greetings sir, I have noted your consistence mentioning of the current administration in the negative light in response to economic upheavals in the country. In certain instances, you were right and it is actually your constitutional right to hold them accountable. However, when many hands cook a meal, it usually doesn't taste well. I believe you have over-flogged the issue for long.
While I am no fan of the current administration (did not vote for any either and am also Igbo), I think the way you relay on it its unpatriotic. I haven't gain much from Nigerian government, rather I have been ripped of many opportunities, but we move on. A good number of my professors did tell me "... young man you are good, immediately you graduate leave Nigeria, but i had faith in the path the Goodluck administration was putting in place and stayed back after rejecting some international offers which came almost immediately I graduated, although because it wasn't fully funded and I couldn't pay the pre-requirements. Then Buhari came and it became history. Buhari charted us into this mess and I hope even by miracle, Tinubu might somehow change the path. Just maybe. still, we can't lose hope or fight with ordinary fellow Nigerians. We must not transfer to pain others.
Whether we like it or not, like I repeatedly tell people, we must give accolade to Tinubu in certain areas especially the oil industry, even though we all know he stole the mandate. I respect him for having a vision to be president and achieved it at all old. Personally, it keeps motivating me towards my long-term goal. I put it to you that the likelihood of him not retaining the position after 2027 is abysmally low. I Project him to win by crook or hook come 2027. the signs are already there. Peter Obi might have been a good fit but by Nigeria nature, he may have to wait or dig dirty in order to redeem the dirty. Yet, I don't trust any Nigerian politician.
For me as a young man, all know is to chart my own path to success with honesty and hard work. My pain majorly is the current tax reforms, while progressive, may not produce significant benefit for the common man but for the Top Guy to re-loot. Example is the social empowerment scheme, subsidy is gone statement, costal road project, Refinery Quick fix project, among others.
In summary, sir let go of this issue it derails the tread. My focus is to make some cash here. it may not affect you, but it might a whole lot of others. Plus, it will indirectly. If e go red na to start to bill you here to offset bills oh. Shalom. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/10/nigerias-rising-debt-profile-scaring-away-foreign-investors-afe-babalola-2/My brother, the article above is a warning alarm by Afe Babalola (SAN) on the precarious condition of Nigeria's debt situation and effect on the economy. Afe Babalola is an industrialist and a big lawyer,. but he able to say the hard truth. He is not like Damgote and others who always want to be politically correct in order not to incur the wrath of the govt and lose its patronage. When some of us speak against the policies of govt. It is not because we hate the govt or want it to fail. Telling the bitter truth is the best way to help a serious govt. unless the govt is out to deceive and manipulate the people. |

If we live as we ourselves ought to be living, be our brother's keeper, stop illegalities, refine ourselves and our characters. Who are these lilliputians, the ugly monsters filled South African and Ghana together. Who are they to put their dirty mouths into Nigeria affairs ... Nigerians are great people, quality people with intelligence that surpasses every other Africans.......We don't even know our values.............it's the government dragging us into the pit of delusions.......God help us..... Describing another sovereign country that got independence 3 and half years before your country as "'ordinary" is one of the things causing problems for us. We talk arrogant in sheer ignorance ! We talk down on other countries but we want to be respected with our bad attitude and lawlessness. Respect is reciprocal. Respect every country that you want to respect you. |

Today instead of being friendly to us the south Africans are hostile in many ways. Stop this nauseating talk about helping SA fight apartheid! Is Nigeria the only country that helped SA during apartheid? Many other African countries also helped SA to fight apartheid even more than Nigeria did. But you don't hear their citizens make any noise about it. But we Nigerians are always too loud and always shouting about the help we did for other countries. Does Nigeria not also receive help from other countries? What is happening us politics in football. And Nigeria does not deserve to go to the world cup. yemmit90: The rule is rule, learn to deal with that and stop being ruled by emotion. CAF can't remove any team points withiout a clearly stated rule.
Some people deserve to live but die, some deserve to die but live and prosper, life is dynamic, brutal and sometimes domineering. During the war, the innocent and righteous die for the sins of others, not because they deserve to die but because they are unfortunate to be in the war zone. The same traore should not have been president today withiout taking advantage of others. Any rule that is not consistent with fair play and equity is dubious rule. Go figure out and understand the difference between rational common sense and emotion. Football started from Europe, South America and most rules are fashioned after their rules. How come none of them has this kind of STUPID, dubious rule but only CAF? Objective and fair minded people would not keep quiet over this injustice, just because a team like Nigeria seems to benefit from it in this instance. |

yemmit90: CAF stated their reason for taking such action, yet some people are still asking questions.
A rule is a rule, and it has nothing to do with emotion. What about South Africa that FIFA removed 3 points and 3 goals from despite the fact that Lesotho did not summit any complaint. That is a stupid, dubious rule calculated to favour some countries How do you deduct from second placed teams the points they scored against the weakest teams in the group, but you allow the same points for the teams that topped the groups? Why not treat all the teams equally? That is super corruption and big disgrace to African football/ |

But when I think about how some decisions have been taken with serious negative impact on the citizens, it makes me panic. Previous dispensation refused to implement the CGT, same way they refused to increase fuel price from N199 to N1,000 under the guise of deregulation or '' removing subsidy on petrol'', same way they refused to massively devalue the naira by more than 90% under the guise of '' removing subsidy on forex'' . But under the current dispensation, caution and fear become necessary. They may decide to '' remove subsidy on gains in NGX'' Anything that extorts money from the people and gives them more revenue may be justified under the guise of '' removing subsidy'' |
