megawealth01:I missed out oo! Poor me. But congrats to those milking it. |
megawealth01: ![]() Money does not like too much noise! Chop and clean mouth, no strings attached. It is all good. Let us make the money from whatever stocks that would give us good money. No emotions attached. Kudos to all those who made money from Oando. Please let the experts or those with insider info release the next stocks that can give us good money. |
bovali:Congrats. And thanks for the various analyses and your sincerity this time around. But it is interesting that you made so much from Oando. I recall I was one of the people trying to convince you about Oando's prospects when it was still struggling to cross the N16 mark; and you said you had sold all your Oando units after making some 40% gain. Well, I am also waiting to make my kill in Oando. My target is 10 digits, and will hopeful hit that mark very soon. |
AntiChristian:President Jonathan was from the South South, therefore Atiku was fair enough to suggest that the South East should provide the next president after Buhari. But Wike refused because of his ambitions |
tundegan:What an irrelevant quote is this? Why diverting attention from the main thrust of the article? |
megawealth01:Hmmm! ''Anambra Project''.....that is billions talking. If you now, you know |
TimiRume:It is good to make the congregation conscious of discipline whilst in the church and preaching is going on . But a man of God who is truly in the Spirit should minimise and control the effect that ringing of phones has on him . How many things would he stop when he hears the ringing of phones? Having his meal, praying or shagging his wife ? Would he stop these things because of the ringing of phones,? |
Agbalowomeri:The stockbroker would most likely give margin loan to buy shares and they would hold the shares in their custody. No short cut to financial freedom. |
yMcy56:Source: https://www.channelstv.com/2024/11/14/just-in-nnpcl-reaches-1-8m-barrels-per-day-crude-oil-production/ NNPCL hits 1.8m barrels per day! What could be the possible impact on the crude oil production numbers coming from NNPC JV partners like Seplat, Oando, Aradel etc? |
Youngzedd:These are the lies and misleading reports that were churned out by some media houses, maybe due to ignorance, deliberate mischief, politics, propaganda etc. The same newspaper later issued a revised report stating that NNPC now owns the retail filling stations The truth is this: NNPC is the owner of all former Oando stations. Oando does not operate filling stations anymore. |
Youngzedd:NNPC actually acquired (bought over) Oando retail outlets, that is why you see NNPC in all the filling stations that used to be Oando. Hence, NNPC now has the largest number of retail filling stations in Nigeria. |
ololufemi:Can you throw more light on why you believe the FGN could be considering listing NNPC on NGX? |
yMcy56:I just hope this commitment and strength to reject the proposal by Management would be replicated and the SEC would not shortchange investors. If Oando should try the nonsense delisting, lets hope the shareholders who bought at lesser prices e.g. N20 and below would not outweigh those who bought at much higher prices and compromise the votes. Oando should be made to pay a very heavy price. |
adeniyiemmanuel:It is the land of USA that is ''blessed'' in this context, so don't twist it to give the glory to any other country. Let the young talented lady come back to school and live in Nigeria, and let's see if she would be able to do jack! There are so many talented kids and youth like her living and schooling in Nigeria but they cannot do jack because the ''cursed'' system in Nigeria would not allow them to excel. But when such people find themselves in US or Europe, they excel very well. So the ''blessed'' in this context is the country where opportunities are provided and people are encouraged and incentivized to excel. People from all parts of the world are excelling in America because the facilities, systems are there, so America is the blessed land! |
Dapromzy333:Shameless sycophant Ribadu. This was the man as EFCC chairman who accussed Tinubu of corruption as Governor of Lagos when Obassnjo was president . He claimed it was the constitutional immunity that was preventing him from arresting Tinubu. Today, the same Ribadu has rushed to receive appointment as NSA under the same Tinubu that he accused of being corrupt. Shameless things |
zendi:Lol, ![]() How does deleting shellholders/shareholders by PP work? I want to learn. |
Harvestock01:This could be one of the thorny issues that may be raised if Oando decides to do an equity fund-raise without putting some clarity and finality to the matter. Although an equity raise (from the public) is more or less a confirmation that they are no longer delisting. |
robobo:But the ENI deal was executed with loans from Afrexim Bank, with more favourable rates and terms. The debt raise may rather be to settle other expensive, commercial loans that were taken for working capital support and operations. |
robobo:Oando already took some loans in 2024. Their ability to manage and pull through 2024 is even a surprise to many. But the interest finance costs is becoming a huge drain on the profits. |
yMcy56:UBA dey make profit and declare dividend ooo, so the market would always cooperate with whatever they decide to do. Alternatively, Oando can obtain shareholders approval to go for private placement if they know where to get the money without coming to the larger market. If they come to the public market, many issues/questions would be raised which they may not be able to answer, unless it is on the heels of very good Q1 or H1 2025 performance report. |
yMcy56:Oando better wait until after releasing H1 2025 results when they incorporate inflows from ENI's assets and showing very good bottom line before coming out to raise funds. Otherwise, they fund-raising could raise more questions and probably fail to rake in the required funds. |
Sunrisepebble:From the accounts released so far, Oando has been engaging in huge Supply & Trading activity to boost their revenue. Incidentally, the same segment is sometimes also responsible for their huge losses, apparently due to volatility and fluctuations in prices of crude/refined oil products, as it affects their business. Their highest profit margin (percentage wise) comes from Exploration & Production (E&P), which is basically the crude oil that they extract from the ground and sell. This segment also generates the highest margin for Seplat and Aradel. This is why the new oil fields acquired from ENI will be key to Oando's future prospects. By my own rough analysis, the ENI fields could add about N150-N200b or more to the bottom line of Oando annually, as new operators of the fields. |
REDshouse:Others should be allowed to compete, but strategically and economically, it is better we encourage more investors to establish local refineries. The FG/NNPC are the problem! What they should have done is to agree to sell the crude to Dangote in naira at a pre-determined fixed exchange, and then negotiate and agree to a pricing template so that citizens could buy the products at reasonable, affordable prices from the refinery. This would ensure that Dangote does not take advantage to make excess profits. But the NPPC adding their own margin/markup on something they did not produce shows how irresponsive and irresponsive the FGN/NNPC are about the negative impact of the price of fuel on the economic hardship of the people |
KarlTom:Let us keep watch and monitor what is going on or coming from the ENI oil fields (which is E&P) and the Okpai power plants. The E&P segment/sector yields the highest profit margin (%) for Seplat, Aradel and Oando itself so what will be coming from the ENI fields will be very key. But Oando may have to do some staff rationing/right sizing in the nearest future in order to maximise the gains from the acquisition because of ENI staff . |
iwaeda:Foolish talk. Which infrastructure ? For dead people to use the infrastructure after they die of hunger or what ? |
SAK:I was referring to the performance of the two stocks on NGX, especially when Oando gained in price. Aradel has been going down consistently until when Oando started going up. Some of these things may or may not be necessarily incidental or coincidental. You are comparing 2 companies in terms of corporate governance and return to shareholders. A company and its stocks may not necessarily have same performance. Don't mix the two. |
GeeKudi:Please, let us appreciate entrepreneurs who take risk with their investments to add value and create jobs for people, while making their profit. How was the refinery built largely from the vault of CBN? Ten (10) Nigerian banks and two 92) South African banks syndicated the loans with which Dangote built the refinery |
KarlTom:Is Oando now pulling Aradel along, or what? |
Mpeace:No available reserves to do that now, unless they are able to churn out some massive profits to wipe out the negative equity. |
Zagee:Anything can happen in the market! Sticking to a particular target price could be very sticky! Oando's sudden price drop in 3 days should be an eye-opener and a wake up call. |
