The world buys aircrafts, Nigeria is leasing because no regime wants a permanent infrastructure for the dying country. |
I thought it was the speculations from the AbokiFX that was making it going up, see now. Think about who you have in power, most of them have no college degrees and those who do, paid for it. Demand and supply, bribing in USD and the USD is actually stronger right now, the reason it is more than the EUR |

AP: Tuesday, July 26, 2022 8:34PM DALLAS, Texas -- A woman accused of firing several gunshots inside a Dallas airport faces a charge of aggravated assault of a public servant because she allegedly fired one round toward a police officer, according to a warrant. The officer shot and wounded Portia Odufuwa, who was taken to a hospital after Monday's shooting at Dallas Love Field Airport. Dallas police Chief Eddie Garcia said at a Tuesday news conference that Odufuwa, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm, could face additional charges. Odufuwa, who had no luggage, entered the ticketing area, then went into a restroom, emerging with her hands in the pockets of a hooded sweatshirt, according to the arrest warrant. Garcia said that she then walked into the ticketing area and said she had an announcement to make. "Witnesses say Odufuwa started to ramble, talking about a marriage, incarceration and that she was going to blow up the airport and then pulls a handgun from her sweatshirt," Garcia said. She fired two rounds in the ceiling before Dallas Officer Ronald Cronin told her to drop the weapon and she then fired in his direction, the arrest warrant said. Garcia said Cronin took cover behind a self check-in kiosk and fired, striking her multiple times. Cronin was not struck, nor was anyone besides Odufuwa. Surveillance footage released by police shows people ducking behind kiosks, falling to the ground and running as Odufuwa begins firing. Garcia lauded Cronin's actions, saying he not only "didn't hesitate" in engaging the suspect, but also tried to help guide others in the area to safety. "I know his actions saved lives and prevented more injuries," Garcia said. Jail records do not list an attorney who is representing Odufuwa. Garcia has said Odufuwa was shot in her "lower extremities." He said Tuesday that she had undergone surgery and was stable. Operations at Love Field, one of the Dallas-Fort Worth-area's two major airports, were suspended for hours and dozens of flights were canceled following the shooting. Garcia said authorities are still investigating a motive, but Odufuwa has been arrested several times in recent years and has been found incompetent for trial more than once. A judge last year found her incompetent to stand trial after she was charged with making a false report, court records show. The judge found that she wasn't a danger to others and referred her to outpatient mental health services. In that case, she was accused of pulling a fire alarm at a hotel after her request to extend her stay was denied, according to police in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite. Records show the charge was dismissed. In 2019, she was found incompetent for trial in a bank robbery in suburban Wylie, The Dallas Morning News reported. She underwent treatment, and court records show the case was eventually dismissed. Also that year, she was arrested for arson after telling a police officer who had responded to a house fire in Mesquite that she started it and was "God's prophet," according to a police report. She also told police she was married to singer Chris Brown, the police report said. The Dallas County district attorney's office said that charge was rejected for lack of scientific evidence to support a conviction. On Monday at the airport, she also was heard making comments about Brown, according to the arrest warrant. Garcia said that Odufuwa has been prohibited from possessing a firearm since August 2018. He said police were working with federal authorities to figure out where she got the gun. "It wasn't hers. It was not registered to her. Obviously, she got it from somebody else, but we're trying to figure out precisely where," Garcia said. |

Every Nigerian policy aims at making life more difficult for the mass, they just increased the clearing fees for affordable vehicles 2006 and below) from average of #500,000 to average of #1.8M. Think about the policies, Nigeria is a country where the few leaders live lavishly and the poor get poorer daily. Keep it up, Sri Lanka here I come. |
The last time I checked, the official currency of Nigeria is still #, not $. You can actually subsidize their salaries to make even, by the way. |

Ok, Mr. googler, this case is not stalking, they just happened to meet at the restaurant and he recognized him to be a bad public figure from Nigeria. Harassment would be a better term, if he follows him to the next location on a daily basis, not stalking. |
BluntCrazeMan:This happened in the USA, not in Nigeria, so, stop being a judge, the reality is, at a public place in America, you can record anyone, there is no Nigerian police here. Have you ever thought about the Paparazzi and how celebrities run away, why can't they sue everyone out of being harassed, that is one of the negative side of being a public figure. |
BluntCrazeMan:Why would a restaurant owner place no camera allowed at a restaurant, if there's nothing illegal going on there? |
It doesn't surprise me that some of you are blaming the guy that records the video, which I understand because I have lived in Nigeria and have been living in the U.S throughout my adult life. I see it both ways, the guy's approach was wrong, you can insult someone without using words. For most people living outside of Nigeria, seeing top politicians who messed up the country outside the country where you are break your heart and makes you wanna beat them up, why do you think most of us outside the country are where we are right now? If the country has not been ran aground, most of us would be in Nigeria. So, I won't blame either of the supporter and those who oppose the video, we shall all see things differently. A point of correction, in the USA, you can record video or take pictures of ANYONE to include the police anytime, any day, and anyhow, that is not infringing on their privacy, but I can call what happened, an harassment, but Nigerian police is ot there to arrest him,lol |

'Gunshots everywhere': Survivor of train ambushed by armed gang in Nigeria reveals harrowing details By Nimi Princewill, CNN Updated 2 hours ago Apr 1, 2022 Abuja, Nigeria (CNN) - Chilling details have emerged about an armed gang's attack on a train in northern Nigeria which left eight people dead and more than two dozen injured. Musa Bashir Usman was one of more than 300 people traveling on a train from Nigeria's capital Abuja to the northern city of Kaduna when it was targeted by an armed gang on Monday. In a statement posted to Facebook by Samuel Aruwan, the commissioner of Kaduna State's Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, and signed by Muyiwa Adekeye, special adviser to the governor, the incident was described as a terror attack. Usman told CNN Thursday that the train was hit by two explosions before the gunmen opened fire on trapped passengers. "About 25 minutes to the end of the journey, there was the first blast. It was dark and the electrical system of the train went off... All we could see were explosion lights (fireworks). The train was still moving and within 30 seconds, there was a second explosion that derailed the train. The next thing we heard were sporadic gunshots ... gunshots everywhere, through the windows," Usman said. After bombing the tracks, the gunmen surrounded the carriages and opened fire, said Usman. At least 26 people were injured in the attack, according to Adekeye. An unknown number of passengers were abducted from the train, reported the Nigerian state media outlet, NAN. The military and other security agencies are conducting search-and-rescue operations to recover the kidnapped passengers, according to NAN. It is the second time a train has been attacked along the Abuja-Kaduna rail line in the last six months. Chinelo Megafu, a dental surgeon, was among the eight people killed on Monday, her father confirmed to CNN. Usman told CNN that Megafu said she had been shot after she and other passengers ran into his section of the train. "People ran from other coaches into the coach I was in. I think she (Megafu) was among them. When she entered, she took cover next to me. And that was when I heard her say she got shot. I asked her how she knew she was shot, and she said she could feel it. I asked her to touch where she felt the pain and she said she could feel some liquid there ... In that situation, there was nothing I could do except give her hope that we would be rescued. "Someone gave her water hoping that it would revive her while I took out my seat cover and fanned her with it. From her breathing, I could see that life was gradually getting out of her. After about an hour [and] 30 minutes, the rescue team came in and began evacuation," Usman said. 'A beautiful future' Megafu graduated from the University of Port Harcourt's Faculty of Dentistry in Nigeria's southern region in 2016, a faculty official told CNN Thursday. "She was very brilliant and had a beautiful future," one of her lecturers, Modupeoluwa Soroye, told CNN. "We are still in shock, the Faculty of Dentistry is in mourning." "She was one of us and so young," Soroye added. A friend of Megafu's family told CNN on Thursday that she was due to have departed Nigeria for Canada this weekend. "From that day (Monday) the incident happened, she would have been in Canada in five days to begin her Master's program," said Dapo Akintunde, a friend of Megafu's father. Ifeanyi Megafu, the dental surgeon's father, told CNN on Friday: "I am in the thick of so many issues now, including [the] funeral... I'm trying to see how I can move my daughter out of Kaduna." Her death has been described by the Nigerian Medical Association as "tragic, horrific, and preventable." Nigerians have mourned Megafu's death, with many expressing outrage over the country's worsening security. One of Megafu's friends, Dr. Olusina Ajidahun, told CNN: "It's sad that insecurity took her before her time. Her death is really touching. Nigeria failed Chinelo. Nigeria failed to protect her." The Kaduna state government has not identified the armed gunmen who carried out the attack. In recent years, kidnapping for ransom has become a persistent problem across Nigeria. Days before the train attack, marauding gangs known locally as "bandits" shot and killed an airport guard as they roamed the perimeter fence of the Kaduna airport, the Nigeria Airspace Management Authority told local media. This followed a series of road attacks and kidnappings perpetrated by notorious gangs in the troubled northwestern state. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said he was "deeply pained" by Monday's attack, calling it "callous," while ordering the country's military to "deal ruthlessly" with terrorists. The Nigerian Railway Corporation announced on Tuesday a temporary closure of the Abuja-Kaduna route following the train ambush. Nigeria's transport minister, Chibuike Amaechi, said on Wednesday that the train services will resume "with aerial security from the Airforce" when the damaged rail track is fixed. It's unclear when train service on the route will resume. The train attack comes amid a plethora of problems plaguing Nigeria as locals grapple with lingering shortages of fuel and electricity. The weeks-long scarcity has exacerbated hardship for citizens already burdened with inflation and spikes in food prices as scant petroleum products sell for double or nearly triple the price on the unregulated black market. On March 25, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that the “first phase” of the invasion of Ukraine was over. A mere month earlier, President Vladimir Putin had vowed to completely destroy Ukraine’s military capabilities and to replace the Ukrainian government, which he claimed without any evidence was a neo-Nazi junta planning to commit “genocide” in Donbas. To that end, on February 24 the Russian army and airborne forces attempted a lightning assault on Kyiv, and simultaneously launched offensives against Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kherson, Melitopol, Mariupol and on the line of contact in the Donbas region. The subsequent month of unexpectedly vicious high-intensity combat has seen Russian forces fail to take all the cities, with the exception of the smaller southern cities of Kherson and Melitopol, which fell in the first days. In return, the Russian army has taken extremely heavy losses; between 7,000 and 15,000 personnel killed and more than 2,000 vehicles visually confirmed as destroyed or captured. The new announcement by the Russian government is a direct response to these failures. It is an admission that, at least for now, Russia cannot return Ukraine to its control by force. Instead of regime change (“denazification” according to Russia), the new claim is that Russia’s goal is a more limited focus on taking territory and destroying Ukrainian forces in the Donbas. This is a serious crisis for President Putin’s regime. To justify the “special military operation” against Ukraine, he has used extreme rhetoric and baseless claims of neo-Nazism and genocide in Ukraine for months. Since the invasion began, ordinary Russians have been presented with a barrage of “Z”-themed pro-war propaganda, patriotic speeches and rallies designed to stir patriotic fervour. During the first few days, when Russian leaders still assumed they would quickly defeat Ukraine, Russian state media carried pronouncements that President Putin’s invasion had reshaped the world order and put an end to both the “Ukraine question” and a unipolar United States-led, NATO dominated world. Perhaps even more importantly, Russia’s military power and history – both conventional and nuclear – are a cornerstone of national identity and national pride, and Russians have long looked down culturally and politically on Ukraine and Ukrainians. All of this makes the current situation extremely difficult for the Russian government to explain to its people. In the information climate carefully created by the Russian government for its people, how could the mighty Russian military have failed to destroy the much weaker Ukrainian army? How can a supposedly high-tech “special military operation” that would be conducted in a short time by elite forces have led to tens of thousands of dead, wounded and captured Russian troops and more than 2,000 destroyed Russian vehicles? How is it that the Ukrainian people – supposedly being oppressed by an unpopular neo-Nazi junta imposed by shadowy hostile Western forces – are now fighting with fierce anger and almost total national unity against their Russian “liberators”? Most of all, how can the Russian government – supposedly a nuclear superpower, and the self-proclaimed heir of the victory over Nazi Germany in 1945 – make a ceasefire deal that leaves the supposedly “genocidal”, “neo-Nazi” Ukrainian government in power? By creating a narrative justification for the invasion that was completely divorced from reality, the Russian government has created a situation where almost any possible outcome to the war now will be extremely hard to justify to its own people. Russia needs a ceasefire soon, however, because the current rate of equipment and personnel losses is not sustainable, and in any case, they are making little meaningful progress except in the east. In fact, in the past week, Ukraine has retaken significant territory around Mykolaiv and Kherson in the southwest, around Irpin and Makariv to the west of Kyiv and Trostyanets to the east of Kyiv. With each passing day, the Ukrainian hand in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations becomes stronger rather than weaker. In this context, the Russian announcement of a new phase of the war that will focus on the Donbas has two purposes. Firstly, it represents a pragmatic military strategy. The Donbas is the part of Ukraine where Russian forces stand the best chance of achieving major military successes – they are attempting to concentrate sufficient forces to break the Ukrainian defence line along the Donets River and have gained important ground around Izyum in the past week. It makes sense to prioritise overstretched forces where they have the best chance of achieving tangible results, which will improve their bargaining position in ceasefire talks. Secondly, this is the start of an effort to moderate the expectations created by the completely unrealistic view of the war that the Russian government has fed its people. Despite this, some in the Russian government seem to find it hard to accept these reduced ambitions and the reality that they imply. On March 27, the propagandist known as “Putin’s mouthpiece”, Dmitry Kiselyov, stated on Russian television that “Russia will never cede Ukraine to anyone … it has to be part of Russia, even against Ukraine’s own will.” Furthermore, Russia continues to conduct missile strikes throughout Ukraine including in Lviv in the west, and is finding it difficult to disengage its forces around Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kherson due to strong Ukrainian counterattacks. Therefore, while a new phase of the invasion has been announced, it remains to be seen if Russia can successfully focus on the Donbas as stated.
