If he has no skeleton in his cupboard, he would have allowed them to search him but nevetheless as far as the they have agreement with London government not to search the major executives, he is right then. At least he is reminding them of their agreement.Bros Politics no fit you at all, you no read the post ![]() |
The PDP Chairman hasn't said anything spectacular, afterall it is His constitutional right to contest for Presidency irrespective of any intra-party back door arrangements. BTW PDP is not the only party in Nigeria. That He can contest does not mean that He MUST win the primaries in His party or that PDP is the only party in Nigeria. Hoping that credible oppositions will come-up this time and give the incumbent party a good run . |
My dear, am tired too oh, worst for me is that i have to be there sometimes to listen to her live. The sad part is that she is such a nice person with s good heart but why she did not go to school when her husband was getting PHDs makes me wonder. Anyway, her husband adores and worships the groud she works on even with her bad grammer, perharps that is what gives her so much confidence. When a man loves a woman and treats her well, she will be so full of confidence no matter how other people see your short comings as long as her husband does not see it or comment she no go sendIs this a case of pot calling kettle black? otherwise you both have been listening or writing to one another "LIVE" . |
the saga are yet to be uncovered, very soon, there will be fake head of state in Nigeria.Na today, ? We've had a fake speaker of the House with fake certificates before na, in 1999 I believe. Then came Evan Or Evans Ewerem, then another fake governor with fake University of Toronto certificate. Then a fake president with a fake bill of Health. Then a fake Patricia, a fake Fire-for Fire greedy police chief, a fake governor in rivers state who used the few months He had in office to build his mansion in GRA , P.H. with lightening speed just before He was ousted, A fake AGF and Minister of Justice who kept fooling himself and defended fake governors for a long time before He was re-deployed and quietly dethroned. The list is endless jare. ![]() |
While there might be perfectly viable opportunities to deliver leadership training within Nigeria, that doesn't not necessarily make this trip a bad idea.Spot on brother and very sound too! If I don't read this thread any further it's because I don't want to be drawn into Tribal sentiments and some girl trying to be cool with her arguement. When I joined NL newly, I will jump on anyone sounding silly and any one attacking anything in the name criticising or de-railing a thread for their selfish aim but now I 've learned. The sad thing is, it's the same people running wild all over the place clue-less once a thread is opened. They soon hijack the thread and gradually derail it into a tribal conference or a myopic activist forum. Bottom line: 1. I don't see anything WRONG with sending kids from Public schools to S.A. or any other country, if Lagos State (or any other state at all) feels it will help expose the kids. 2. Every state governor must not run the same agenda. If I recall, one of the Eastern governors(in an article titled "OHAKIM WORLD CUP GAMBLE" sent about 27 youths to South Africa during the 2010 world cup and I thought the the idea was brilliant and the fact that they all returned home without abconding was good image repair for us.For me it was not all about the world cup but also the opportunity to get some exposure outside their environment and meet with a lot of people with diverse cultures etc from other countries. Even then the poor man was criticise and dogged but that didn't make His critics right. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15835&Itemid=46&page=2 I tire for some of our folks, I beg. |
goddam soludoEmm, I think the fellow at CBN now is actually Sanusi Lamido not Charles Soludo (or is your mis-representation in the sound of their last names?) ![]() |
Hi peeps, I missed the match as I had to start out 10hours from London to Houston. Just arriving to find out it's all over. From what I see on the thread, it looks like we deployed defensive tactics and slipped up twice due to defensive errors. I wish the girls the very best in the future. Hopefully they will be motivated to stay together and NFF will groom them to gradually take their places in the senior team. Congrats to the girls and God bless Nigeria. |
What's it with all this Akwa ibom folks and ritualistic beheading anyway(not as if it doesn't happen else where though), some years back while I was in P.H. some Akwa Ibom guy beheaded His Ibo girl friend around Woji railway area. I drove past the Mini-okoro police station that morinng and what I saw still shock me anytime I think about it. For those who talk about the stripping of the culprit and display of the decapitated head, that probably feels mild to most of those villagers. Imagine what would have happened to the guy if He was caught in a Lagos slum. |
the only reason they want obudu is because the cross-rivers state gov had developed the area into a modern state.@GARETH3, Are you the guy in the pix, otherwise that will be Sesan ? ![]() I no know say you and madam don land my area before how are the twins doing?? |
the only reason they want obudu is because the cross-rivers state gov had developed the area into a modern state. So you still don't get it my friend? They will go to ICJ ahead of Naija then when we get our legal team together, they will not have proper brief and will be clamouring for estacode(is that what they call it ) until the case is decided in favor of cameroun. no long thing!During Buhari/Idiagbon regime, Nigeria had an "OPERATION SEA DOG"(we flew fighters into cameroun and moved thousands of soldiers steathily into camerounian borders----they fled!)and moved out flag about 4km deep into Cameroun beyond the Ranch area. They 're probably now asking for that strip proximal to the ranch and with Cameroun and their familiarity with the ICJ anything can happen. BTW I come from that area. Ogoja to be precise and have been to the ranch a couple of times. It is not on it's own as somebody claims. The folks at Okworuobudu(translated obudu mountains i think) live at the foot of the ranch and they are largely farmers and hunters. The last time I was there, I noticed they understand the terrain like the palm of their hands. I plan to be home this winter and will definitely be following this one ![]() |

My own mum discovered that anytime she cooked efo with those stock fish and assorted gbogbo ero on top, they tend to disappear few minutes after cooking. One day she just left live voice mail that she knows how the top part of her efo looks. I got the message! You bet, unless bulala or rubbing of ears no dey your una household recipe .I stole meat from our kitchen stew once and the smell lingered until my mum called us in one after the other. The little strand of goat meat in between my teeth plus the pungent smell of finger-licking stew had barely left me, so I gave up ![]() But mum didn't leave no voice messages, She gave you a little sermon to help you digest the meat you'd swallowed in a hurry, then she adjusts her wrapper with one hand already firmly gripping your wrist before giving you her trade-mark ear-rubbing exercise. Dad did the bulala thing if He was in a good mood otherwise His silence had a weird writing on the wall for days because you never know what you might do next and you will be reminded of some past sin, My sibling and I remind them every now and then when we visit and they don't stop laughing about those times : .Praise be to God that those discipline has helped to shape us. My kids (and most kids this days) don't understand all of this mummy's pot or not they just asked you authoritatively and if you say no, they start acting-up, mscheeewww |
OP,@Aproko, You are spot on. This same GT Bank early this summer , I was in Lagos and I got a cheque for some N200k naira from a friend who has an account with them. I decided that since I was in the vicinity I would take advantage and cash the cheque across the counter. I approached a young lady after waiting patiently in line for about 10minutes. She took the cheque and started to process it then She requested for my ID which I did, She went into a small office for about 5minutes and returned to ask if I had an account with GT Bank to which I said No. She then paused and asked me if I had a driver's licence and I brought out my Drivers licence from the state of Texas. She took it went in for another couple of minutes and returned to ask if I had a Nigerian driver's , licence and I said No then another colleague of her's jumps in and starts asking . This was a painful experience in terms of PR, Time wasted etc and Probably could have been diffrent in another branch but I don't expect anybody to shout me down without looking at the issues at least. Our banking industry is going through a very trying period and a little help in terms of human relations could go a long way you know. |
Who paid you to come here and de-market GTB?This is very , very rash. If you felt you had one or two tips to help him get good services at that bank then say so but nicely my friend, and you've got the answer in there somewhere in your post except that you have refused to acknowledge His frustration but rather chose to attack His motive. |
There's no reason for me to steal from the Cooking Pot when it's my house. That's exactly what mama-gee just said, you know her with words na abi? ![]() |
^^How did David Villa flop?Plus He scored 5 crucial goals in the entire tournament. BTW I'm glad you 're loving him again ![]() Where . |
Nice pix, If my my wife sees this ones She will def. compel me to encore at this rate. Se we can deck-up and do photo shoot for albums at our anniversary coming in December ![]() |
Yes Oh, Hope its true, Kidnappers collect your share, yeye man let his suffering begin ![]() ![]() |
Mourinho will succeed in Madrid. The only Major challenge He will have is finding the balance between keeping the Madrid traditional free flowing football with a porous defence on one hand and a brickwall of defence, a conservative midfield and a trifty attack . He loves challenges, so it will be interesting to see how He turns things around there. If I know Mou He's going to first stamp himself in Madrid and gradually start making them play to His strategy. The guy's got swagger ![]() |
With Iniesta and Xavi and probably Fabregas palying behind Messi & David Villa, I doubt if Mou will succeedHe is going to Madrid Not Barca dude. |
C.Ronaldo IMHO. He just buckled in their last game even before He kicked a ball. Did not make any effort to fight for His name inspite of all that sign-on fee and the press hype. Just melted away when He most needed most. I'm really dissapointed in Him .Osaze Odemwingie of the Super xxxxx comes next with His selfish play and inability to control His frustration on the pitch when things didn't go his way .Leave Yak, Kaita, Ogbuke,Etuhu, Taiwo, Yobo etc, are from a different planet. A separate thread should be opened for those long after our nerves are calm ![]() |

Welldone SA for the very well organised 2010 world cup. You made Africa proud but please those vuvuzelas were just too irritating . Next time when you host something that big consult with Nigerians supporters club. BTW get the original author of African songs with world acclaimed African Musicians like Masakela etc to do the theme songs not that Shakira "Shakara girl" messing up the song (zamina mina zankhalewa) we sang happily at the Naval academy with latino accent ![]() Overall big-ups to SA. |
@Bawomolo, ^^^^^ That's a bad hold there by the security agent. In two minutes that fellow could go totally cold ![]() If na naija our morpol go AK-47 the guy from a distance before He even thinks about it . |
Sani Kaita would have been lifting this trophy! All the same, Up Nigeria! Then, he'd pass it on to Ogbuke and yakubu would have done the victory lap with the cup. After that the cup will dissappear and we will find out that NFF cut a deal with some chinese business men to make gold bracelets for their GFs, then EFCC will start chasing and house of Assemly/reps will set up committee, somebody else should take over from here . |
Mama-gee, The match is over, so come out na we are missing you in the celebration . Oh BTW spain won it ![]() |
Guys, SA have pulled it-off. I'm proud to be an african on this occasion. |
