PhonesEven In DEATH, Galaxy Note 7's Ghost Continues To Haunt The Smartphone Market. by Mikeshiangala(op): 10:08pm On Feb 06, 2017
The South Korean government plans to revise a current law, which only requires batteries to be inspected once before mass production. The revision, which should be in place this July, will require tests every two years.
The phone recall process will be updated, too. The government will be able to advise consumers against products even before an official recall is instituted by the company in question.
These safety standards are now in line with those of the International Electrotechnical Commission and European Union—but in the near future, the SK government will add new test items to bring standards closer to those used in the United States and Japan.
Streamlining testing for smartphones and batteries is an important move, even if it is in response to such a wide-reaching failure like the Galaxy Note7. If the phones of the future are safer and better vetted as a result, the explosive handset's legacy could actually be a positive one.
PhonesSouth Korea Will Increase Battery Safety Regulation In Wake Of Note 7 Fiasco by Mikeshiangala(op): 9:59pm On Feb 06, 2017
Late last month, Samsung continued its prolonged Note 7 apology tour with a global press conference detailing months of internal and third-party research, coupled withplans to increase its safety measures moving forward.
While all of that self-humbling seems to have gone a ways toward appeasing a portion of the smartphone-buying public, the company’s home country of South Korea (which has had its share of issues with Samsung of late) is looking to amp up regulation around lithium-ion batteries, no doubt spurred on by Samsung’s on-going woes.
This morning, the country’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy issued a statement highlighting its intent to provide more testing around the ubiquitous technology.
“We ask that the industry shares the view that making efforts to ensure safety is equally as critical as developing new products through technological innovation,” Vice Minister Jeong Marn-ki said in a statement provided to Reuters.
The ministry didn’t provide much in the way of details with regards to its plans moving forward, but it does plan to keep an especially close eye on Samsung as the company looks to bolster its own methodology. The new regulation would also require more stringent reporting of defective devices to the government, along with a strengthening of recall requirements.

WebmastersOne Of The Worst Comments Sections On The Internet Is Shutting Down by Mikeshiangala(op): 11:53pm On Feb 03, 2017
Good riddance to one of the worst places to socialize on the internet. Amazon-owned IMDb announced today it will be closing down its discussion board later this month, and turning off the ability for users to private message each other. The company claimed the decision was made because the boards were “no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide.”
Anyone familiar with the boards would say that’s putting it mildly. Like many large, internet gathering places without strict moderation capabilities in place, IMDb’s boards didn’t serve the community as intended. That is, they failed to offer a place to have productive conversations about movies, shows, actors, and other members of the entertainment industry.
Instead, the boards were notoriously known for hosting some of the most pointless and hateful commentary around. They’ve been compared, in many cases, to YouTube’s sort of unfettered brand of internet commentary – which is another way of saying, these boards were full of trolling. There’s an entire Reddit
thread about the matter, in fact.
Often, the boards only seemed to exist for people to bash others’ dissenting opinions, or thoroughly trash the TV or movies being discussed, no matter how critically acclaimed or generally popular. At their worst, they would delve into other sorts of offensive commentary, or even racist remarks

I swear my phone no be fake, that code and many other code just don't work on Motorola droid ultra if you no sure make search for it and do you think Motorola phone is that easy to clone.
Every GSM phone, be it a basic, dirt-cheap handset or a pricey, powerful smartphone, has its own International Mobile Equipment Identity number, commonly known as IMEI which should and must be available when queried using *#06# or *#0000# for Nokia phones.
No phone can be an exception....lacking this feature is a clear indication you got out-smarted.

Secondly No....I mean NO...phone cannot be clonned....The fact that the motorola droid ultra runs on Android which is open source, makes it even an easy job for the chinese gurus.
PhonesTecno Camon C10 Specs And Price: What You Should Expect by Mikeshiangala(op): 2:33pm On Feb 03, 2017
This article is about the Tecno Camon C10 but not yet released. i'll reveal the specifications of the C10 that Tecno Camon will release this year.

Techno Camon C9 was launched in June 2016 and was generally liked by africans. The strong selling point of the device is the front camera that had an amazing 13 MP with LED flash and a point of view 83 degrees.

Very few phones around the world (including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S Plus) can offer such a recount or even a front-megapixel LED flash. That said, the number of megapixels does not guarantee a better picture quality as the number of megapixels is not all that matters (take the oldest HTC One M7, for example).
While the technical specifications of Camon C9 are certainly powerful, that could be improved significantly. For example, i was very disappointed when i saw the processor in the Techno Camon C9.

And another question I would like to ask Tecno and by extension Infinix. Are there others besides Mali-T720 GPU? This GPU has consistently appeared in almost every Techno and Infinix devices. We would like to see a more powerful GPU sometime in the future, please.
It will be much better if the Tecno Camon C10 comes with a Full HD screen.

Enough with the nonsense HD. The color reproduction on the screen of Camon C9 should be better and we hope to hear Tecno has overturned up in the C10.

Internal storage also appears to have stalled at 16 GB. 16GB is now the standard memory that comes with any phone game in africa.
The Camon C10 should have 32 GB of internal storage or at least a variant offering 32 GB. With the advent of mobile gaming, games can now take up to 3 GB of storage not to mention other multimedia files like movies that can now reach up to 1 GB.
The speaker placement is one thing that puzzles me continually in the target devices of africa. What would it cost to place the speaker on the bottom of the device?
Is there any reason phone manufacturers keep placing the speaker on the back of the device? Please let the speaker bd on the bottom of the next Tecno Camon C10.
Putting all the above together, this should be quick specifications proposed for the Tecno Camon C10.

PhonesMake Your Own Trump Executive Order Memes With This App. by Mikeshiangala(op): 2:13pm On Feb 03, 2017
A few days ago , someone created a novelty “Trump Draws” Twitter account that brought a huge smile to the faces of people around the globe (or at least a few chuckles) .
The account is making fun of Donald Trump with memes of the newly- elect President showing off his signed “ executive orders ” for the camera , which are replaced by different drawings that look like they have been made by a child.

The account gained instant popularity and currently has almost 300 ,000 followers.
Now, someone took the idea to a whole new level. You can now make your own Trump memes with the help of the new Android app called Donald Draws : Executive Doodle. You can upload a photo , draw a picture, and add text to create your own funny masterpiece that can then be shared on Twitter and Facebook.

The app is simple but very fun to use . Even its description on the Google Play store will surely make you laugh .

PhonesSamsung Teases New Tablet Launching At Mobile World Congress by Mikeshiangala(op): 10:01am On Feb 01, 2017
Samsung isn’t launching its upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress, but it looks like the Korean firm will unveil a new tablet at the Barcelona show.

Today, Samsung teased an upcoming device through invites to a press event on February 26, the eve of MWC. This looks like being the Galaxy Tab S3, which
just cleared the FCC hinting at an imminent arrival.
Its predecessor, the Tab S2, arrived in 2015 while an enhanced ‘Pro’ version landed last year.

In terms of rumors: Korea’s ET News reported that the Tab S3 will feature a 9.6 inch display and run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip with 4GB RAM.
PhonesSuper Mario Run's New Mode That Helps You Play When You’re Feeling Lazy by Mikeshiangala(op): 9:52am On Feb 01, 2017
Super Mario Run now has an Easy Mode, allowing newer (or impatient) players of Nintendo's smartphone venture to go through the mustachioed freerunner with fewer hassles.

Easy Mode gives players unlimited Bubbles (the game's version of a retry) as well as removes the time limit, taking the edge off for those easing into the game for the first time - as well as more versed folks who've hit a wall at the game's harder stages.

The new difficulty option comes as part of version 1.1.0 of Super Mario Run, so anyone interested in trying out Easy Mode will have to update their game via the App Store.

In addition to Easy Mode, Nintendo also changed the competitive Toad Rally mode to make Toads easier to gain and harder to lose, as well as some bug fixes and tweaks to prepare for future events.

Since its launch in December, Super Mario Run has become a major hit for Nintendo, with the game raking in about 78 million downloads and approximately $53 million in revenue, according to the
Wall Street Journal.

The game has a fairly impressive turnout rate for a free-to-play title as well, with over 5% of its downloaders paying the (somewhat controversial, if you look at reviews) price of $10 to unlock all the game's features.
However, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima says he isn't satisfied with the results, with the company hoping for a double-digit conversion rate. There's still a chance for Super Mario Run to make more bank, however, as the currently iOS-exclusive app hits Android devices in March .

Following Super Mario Run and its joint operation with The Pokemon Company, Pokeman Go, Nintendo's next toe in the mobile waters is Fire Emblem Heroes, which repurposes the series' classic turn-based strategy formula for smartphones in February.
PhonesWhich Android Phone Does Donald Trump Use? by Mikeshiangala(op): 9:37pm On Jan 31, 2017
The New York Times has reported that Donald Trump still tweets from the White House on his "old, unsecured Android phone, to the protests of some of his aides," contradicting earlier reports that the president had turned in the handset in exchange for a "secure, encrypted device approved by the Secret Service." It's difficult to know with 100% certainty which Android device Trump currently uses to tweet (or whether it's the off-the-shelf model he likely used during his campaign, or some secured variant.)

But i sure can offer you some informed speculation!

There are only a few photos out in the wild of Trump using his smartphone, usually reported to be a "Samsung Galaxy." That doesn't exactly narrow it down, and most of the photos available online are low-res, making the matter trickier still.

What's more, the device appears to be in a case, obscuring some identifying features. Of the two clearest images we have of Trump using his Android phone, one comes from a NYT report dated October 2015:

https://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/styles/large/public/article_images/2017/01/trump-phone.jpg

The back is pretty revealing, but you have to zoom in close to pick out identifying features. The two dead giveaways are the features flanking the camera bump — even in this low-res shot,

Trump's phone quite clearly has an LED flash on the left, and a less reflective marking in the same place over on the right. The only major Samsung phone released in the U.S. with these features is the Galaxy S3 , launched way back in 2012. (A different angle of the same shot shows a device roughly the right size and shape to be a GS3, with the familiar LED - camera - speaker arrangement only found on this phone.)

The GS3 is very similar in appearance to 2013's Galaxy S4, but the GS4's LED is below the camera bulge, not to the side. Same deal with the Galaxy S5. And the headphone jack being situated on the top-left side (as you face the phone) eliminates the Galaxy S6 or anything newer.

https://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/styles/large/public/article_images/2017/01/trump-phone-6.jpg

Further evidence comes from a more recent pic of Trump on his phone, dated February 2016. Here, Trump the presidential candidate is using what appears to be the same Samsung phone — note the home button — in a similar case. But there's another important clue in this pic — the bottom edge of the device, showing a USB port and no headphone jack. Again, this eliminates the GS6 and newer. The USB port is also too small for it to be a GS5, which used a weird double-width USB 3.0 port. Another important clue is the mic hole placement — to the right of the charging port here, like the GS3.

The GS4 relocated the mic to the left of the USB port. (The irregular shape of the home key — wider at the top, narrower at the bottom — also matches the GS3, but not the GS4.)

So there you go. Trump's personal Android phone is more than likely a Samsung Galaxy S3, released in 2012, and which last received a software update in mid-2015, with firmware based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.!!!!

As noted in the intro, i don't know for sure that Trump is still using this specific Galaxy S3. The two
NYT reports conflict on whether he turned it in, or is still using it to fire out tweets from the White House. But if he is, and it's the same consumer GS3 model he was apparently using as of February 2016, it's safe to say it's a good three years out of step with the latest Android security updates.

Many Android security scares have come and gone since the GS3 got its last update in August of 2015.
Naturally, there's huge (YUGE!) interest in which smartphone — secured, or otherwise — the most powerful man in the world is using. (And understandable concern over how protected it is from digital threats.)
We may never have an entirely clear answer. Nevertheless, in 2017, a GS3 certainly fits the description of an "old, unsecure Android phone."

You have to look really close to see exactly which Galaxy Trump is using.
In 2017, a GS3 certainly fits the description of an "old, unsecure Android phone."
Update, January 27: Further photos from recent interviews at Trump Tower by German outlets Bild.de and Die Welt reveal the president's Android phone — quite clearly a Galaxy S3 — in higher resolution, showing the features noted above in greater detail.

what is your analysis on this and which phone do you thing Trump is using?
Technology MarketResearchers Teach Cars To Work Together With Or Without Drivers Via Wi-fi by Mikeshiangala(op): 9:05pm On Jan 31, 2017
Academics from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) have created a working system that allows vehicles to drive autonomously at highway speeds, while navigating multi-lane traffic in real-world settings, using wireless communication based on basic Wi-Fi standards.

The study was meant to show how communication between vehicles enabled by tech built-in to most modern cars, when combined with sensor systems also included on modern vehicles, can work together to provide advanced self-driving capabilities and enhance passenger safety in both driver and driverless cars.

The idea is that the cars can work as collaborative platoons, perhaps guided by a single or a few human-controlled vehicles.

This is a practice already in service in some tests, with convoys of autonomous trucks playing a fairly rigorous game of “follow the leader” based on established pre-set rules. But the EPFL researches came up with something more flexible, in which cars communicate continually with those around them in close proximity, adapting on the fly so that they aren’t solely reliant on one centralized leader or control center.

This allows them to handle variances in traffic, and to add or subtract members from the convoy as needed.

The benefits of this system include access to as many sets of virtual “eyes” as there are vehicles with sensors in the array, and the researchers say there’ also no upwards limit in terms of how large the group can grow.

So far, the real-world demonstration has been limited to only a network of three cars, but it still represented a successful proof of concept, paving the way for larger trials to follow.

Car makers including Honda, which debuted its “safe swarm” concept at CES this year , are already interested in how connected vehicles might be able to work together to more effectively navigate roads and traffic, both with people behind the wheel and without, so expect to see a lot more funding and research focused on this area in the future.
PhonesA Device That Can Measure How Thirsty You Are Is Finally Here by Mikeshiangala(op): 8:50pm On Jan 31, 2017
A wearable wireless hydration sensor from North Carolina State University will be able to tell how thirsty you are via a chest patch or wrist-worn device.

The device is designed to tell you when you might be facing heat stress due to dehydration.
“It’s difficult to measure a person’s hydration quantitatively, which is relevant for everyone from military personnel to athletes to firefighters, who are at risk of health problems related to heat stress when training or in the field,” said researcher John Muth.

The device tracks “an individual’s skin hydration in real time” and can improve athletic performance or even track levels in older people who might not be able to get to water in time to prevent dehydration.

“It can even be used to tell how effective skin moisturizers are for cosmetics,” said researcher Yong Zhu.

The sensor uses silver nanowire to sense the electric properties of skin. The small sensors they created are on par with the larger, more complex sensors currently used to sense hydration. These commercial models cost $8,000 but this new sensor will cost about one dollar, making it a massive step up in hydration sensing and opening the potential use cases to more informal sensing jobs.
