https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Infinix-Note-4l.jpg perhaps, the most important thing in reviewing any of the latest smartphones is by what powers the phone. If you look at Tecno Camon CX specifications, you will see that this phone runs on MediaTek MT6750T chipset and Octa-core 1.5GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Infinix Note 4 full specification is in many ways similar to that of the Tecno Camon CX – it has a MediaTek Helio 10 chipset and Octa-core 1.3GHz CPU. However, the memory is where the Note 4 surpasses its closest competitors. With 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, the latest Infinix phone clearly wins. Both devices run the newest version of Android, the Android 7.0 Nougat, and are capable of upgrading by air so you can be rest assured you’ll always have the best version of the OS. https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/gionee-s10.jpg First things first, it’s pronounced as jo-nee , yes, like Yemi Alade’s missing Johnny. Anyway, Gionee have announced a new phone and as much as it might never make it to your home market, here’s the reason to pay attention to it; the device has four cameras! Despite looking like an iPhone 7 aesthetically, including the antenna lines, Gionee claims that their new flagshi, the S10 is an innovative product. We’ll let you be the judge of that. The Gionee S10 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Mediatek Helio P25 processor, 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, a 3,450 mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat. As for the cameras, we are looking at a 16 MP and an 8 MP camera in the rear and a combination of a 20 MP camera and a secondary 8 MP selfie cameras. The four cameras on the device are not a gimmick, they actually work. Gionee says that one of the back cameras has an f/1.8 aperture, helping it achieve better low-light photography. The dual cameras at the back also include a wide-angle lens and the ability to catch 3D effects and distance measurement. Did you know: Whatsapp users spend an average of 646 years on video calls. |

I actually would have liked if it was a little squarer and more reminiscent of the original. Given that it has a really light plastic body (79g) and a plastic screen, it can probably stand up to lots of abuse (though no one would let me test this at the event ). Like everything about the Nokia 3310, the screen is tiny. It has a 240×320, 2.4-inch color display with a polarized layer, which should make it easier to see in the sunlight. The tiny screen paired with a dead-simple OS leads to tons of battery life. Nokia is promising a month of standby time out of the 1200mAh removable battery, along with 22 hours talk time, which is 10 times more than the original 3310. The MicroUSB port is curiously on the top of the device, while a headphone jack sits on the bottom. On the back is a whopping 2MP camera with an LED flash. The back pops off, revealing a removable battery and a spot for a MicroSD card (32GB max). The device comes in four colors with two finishes, a matte black or light gray, and a glossy red, or yellow. https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/nokia-3310.jpg There’s no touchscreen. You get the traditional feature phone controls: a 5-way D-Pad just below the screen, with left and right action buttons that correspond to labels on the screen. The OS is Series 30+, an operating system originally made by Mediatek for Microsoft’s Nokia. Unlike the other Nokia/HMD feature phones, which are loaded with Microsoft products like Skype and Bing, I didn’t spot any Microsoft influence here. S30+ means you aren’t exactly going to get a ton of apps. There was a “Games & Apps” store, but given that the devices had no Internet access, I couldn’t see what was in there. Speaking of games, it comes pre-loaded with a fancy new version of Snake that was whipped up by Gameloft! It’s in color now. There were also a few other Gameloft games, like Asphalt 6. Web browsing is handled by Opera, but I can’t imagine you’ll want to do much web browsing on the 2.4-inch screen. As fun as the new 3310 is; does anyone want to spend money on a feature phone? The long battery life, high nostalgia factor ($52) price might earn it a few niche customers in the US, but most of the 3310 units seem headed for the developing world, where HMD already has a line of feature phones. https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/AndroidPIT-Huawei-P10-Hands-on-MWC-2017-5859-w782.jpg Last spring, Huawei hit a lot of the right notes with the release of its P9 flagship, an Android handset that paired a Leica-lensed dual camera setup with a modern, streamlined design. We expected a little more performance out of that camera than we actually got the device, but the phone was chock full of promise, and for the last few months we’ve been eagerly waiting to see what Huawei might be able to assemble for its follow-up. https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/AndroidPIT-Huawei-P10-Hands-on-MWC-2017-5896-w782.jpg Today in Barcelona we finally get to meet the P9’s successor, as Huawei unveils both the P10 and P10 Plus – and we’ve got an early hands-on look at what you can expect from this hardware. Just like the P9, the P10 is one compact, beautifully engineered handset. It would be easy to look at the phone’s lines and draw comparisons to an iPhone, but Huawei maybe even outdoes Apple with certain components of its design, like a perfectly flush camera (or, rather, cameras). We’ll get back to that in just a second. Read our Full Review on: Huawei P10 & P10 Plus: hands-on impressions of this sleek, dual-camera flagship |

you are now lost dude.. these phones are made to cater for african conditions and Gsm arena is for global brands....once tecno goes global believe me not everyone will afford there $650 phones here in africa. donhils: |
I definitely could not see myself using Itel Android phones. I bought the phone because of its portability and design, but it was all a sham My Experience – I installed Facebook & WhatsApp applications on the phone, i was happy installing them thinking this was a new experience unlike Tecno, The most shocking thing occured when I attempted to install a nice game called “Traffic Racer”, the phone popped out a message telling me not enough space, free up some space by deleting unused apps, I was like what the…? or should I say Haaaaaaa! i was left speechless I searched for helpful articles online, i contacted one of the Itel sales rep on Facebook only to start blabbering telling me things I don’t wanna hear. The phone was useless to me and i cannot say its uses is more than that that of Nokia torch light phone. The Itel phone met its demise when my the phone dropped on the floor and the calibration decided to go on permanent vacation, i went to an engineer asking him the cost of repairing the phone, the price he told me made me flee… I abandoned the phone. |

https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/android-keyboard-shortcuts-100652776-primary.idge_.jpg I’ve never been a two-thumb typing man myself. I’m also not a full-time swiper, which is another increasingly common type of mobile tech typist you see in the wild these days. More than anything, what I’ve learned by observing other people’s smartphone-using habits is that there is no universal “right” way to type on a smartphone. There are several distinct styles, and what’s most natural for one person is going to feel impossibly awkward to the next. Like so many things, it ultimately just boils down to a matter of personal preference. If you’re using Google Keyboard on your phone or tablet, check out these three out-of-sight options: 1. Fast access to numbers and symbols One thing that held me back from using Google Keyboard in the past was the extra step it required to get to certain special characters like the underscore or asterisk. While many other keyboards allow you to long-press letters to find those symbols — a step that takes only one tap to execute — Google Keyboard makes you first tap the “?123” button and then find and tap the character you want. Or so I thought. Turns out there’s a simpler way: Just touch your finger to the “?123” key and then slide it upward across the keyboard. You’ll see a screen full of numbers and special characters instantly appear, and all you have to do is swipe your finger to the one you want. Once you let go, that character will be inserted into your text, and the keyboard will go back to its regular QWERTY panel. 2. Quick capitalization of an individual letter Whether you’re typing out an acronym or just feeling especially shouty, there are times when you want to capitalize a letter beyond the first character of a sentence. Yup, you guessed it: Google Keyboard has a hidden shortcut for making that easy. Touch your finger to the caps-lock key (the up-facing arrow to the left of the “z”) — and, instead of letting go, keep your finger down and swipe over to whatever letter you want. That letter will come through capitalized, and the keyboard will then automatically switch back to lowercase when you let go. 3. Formatted fractions in a fraction of a second Want to talk fractions without wasting your time? Long-press any number in Google Keyboard to get a pop-up list of common fractions involving that figure. And here’s a bonus: This’ll work by first tapping the “?123” key and then long-pressing a number — or by using the swipe-to-get-a-number trick explained in tip #1. In the latter case, just touch and hold the “?123” key and slide your finger to the number you want. Let your finger rest on that number for a second or so, and any available fractions will automatically appear. Lemme tell ya: With shortcuts like these, it’s never been easier to see the glass ½ full. Also Read On: Measures on how to avoid Gmail Phishing scams |

https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/samsung-galaxy-j5-sm-j500f-3.jpg Aesthetically, the Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop with its TouchWiz twist is a sophisticated and modern affair, with bold colours and cleaner fonts, icons and menus. Some may feel that this simplification has dumbed down the Galaxy S5, though. We definitely agree that the phone doesn’t quite feel as ‘classy’ or business-like since it received the Lollipop update. Samsung has reined in some of Lollipop’s flavour though, such as toning down some of the new ‘cartoony’ menu animations and avoiding the big bright tiles that dominate the dial screen of pure Lollipop devices. These changes may have been a step too far for some of the Galaxy S5’s devout crowd, but the Galaxy S5’s menus are noticeably snappier following from the update. Notifications and settings receive the most obvious changes. Notifications now appear as white tabs that can be accessed in a drop down menu and cleared if needed. If you delve into notifications settings you can now activate/deactivate the notifications of apps on an individual basis, which is handy. The Samsung Galaxy J5 looks very much like a classic Samsung phone. It’s available in Black or White, and has a familiar but attractive rectangular style with rounded corners. It’s very slim for a mid-range phone, measuring under 8mm in thickness, and weighing in at a solid yet not too heavy 146g. The phone feels good in the hand, and isn’t too big to use single-handedly. The screen is a very nice size for a mid-range phone. Both devices are top notch but the Galaxy S5 takes the cake here. Read on the detailed review of: Samsung's Galaxy S5 Vs Galaxy J5. stonekc: |
