Hello Justwise, i'm about to apply for a UK Tourist visa. i have the following questions:

1. I have 2 accounts, one salary, and another i save money in. i usually move part of my salary to the savings account. i also have hotel/per-diems paid into my salary account. All payments from my office is spelt out in detail in the account statement. i do buying and selling and that money often enters my salary account.i intend to use both accounts for my aplication. At what point do i explain the extra income, as i don't have a registered business - Is it the box at the end of the application that requests for comments?

2. Can i make use of an online print-out of my account statement? does it have to be certified by the bank e.g by stamping & signing?

3. can you kindly assist with a link for booking a cheap hotel for 10days, as i intend to put this in my application and is required to show an evidence of hotel booking as part of my supporting documents

A lot of the things we actually call nigerian accent is mostly bad English because the inflections in Yoruba and other nigerian languages are very different from English. So we tend to stress on the wrong syllables when we speak English. So when people try to speak proper English, it comes across as 'forming British English'. But then again, a lot of our lagos and Abuja babe's dey overdo, lol

An example: Wole Soyinka. He speaks "proper English" in your parlance, but he doesnt sound british/american. Speaking clear and proper English and speaking English with a foreign accent do not equate to the same thing.

True! Cool FM won't employ you if you speak with a Nigerian Accent. in 2010 my friend got a job with them, and told me how they "bounced" those with Nigerian accents during the interview.
He learnt his "British" accent as a result of growing up with his dad who lived most of his life in the UK.

good stuff. I have been a "dip" enthusiast for quite a while now. The only issue i have is that my car is black, and blacking out the logo or the wheels won't make aesthetic sense. In fact using any other colour on the wheels doesnt look cool on a black car. unfortunately, there is no chrome coloured pasti-dip.

Well, where you got it wrong is it isn't "Older cars" per se, it is the 99/2000 Toyota Camry. There is a Nigerian Crase for this car. The demand for this particular brand and model year has pegged its tokumboh price at relatively same for the last 3-5years. These cars still go for btw 900 - 1.2m NGN. Which isn't necessarily cheap compared to its rivals of same year.For this price you could get relatively newer brands. But hey, as you said, Taste is SUBJECTIVE.

Just thought by now most people would have shifted their gaze to a relatively newer car. There are other "Toyota" brands that offer the same "ruggedity" and "Fuel economy" that are easthetically more pleasing on the inside and outside.
