I think it depends on whom the candidate of apc or pdp is, for example if pdp go north for their candidate and apc go for southern Christian, I am sure pdp will not get bloc vote in this circumstance.
PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Will Lose To Osinbajo In APC Primaries by MikoB: 11:42am On Apr 14, 2022
NaijaCowFarm:
Leadership is not a popularity contest - Adams Oshomole

It is not arguable that Tinubu has a very large political structure. It is also not arguable that Tinubu can defeat Osinbajo in an Open Ballot system, but APC primaries are not going to be an open ballot system where people queue behind their candidates, rather it is going to be an Open-Secret Ballot system. In an open-ballot system, once I vote against you, you know, so I will be reluctant to vote another after assuring you or collecting your money. However, in an Open-Secret ballot, I can assure you that I will vote for you, collect your money yet vote my "heart".

Now on the day of the APC primaries, these are the facts that would be very clear:

Tinubu is too old to govern effectively: With the hindsight of Buhari's challenges, APC would rather go for a younger and much healthier candidate than an old and sick Tinubu. This is a clear advantage that Osinbajo would have. Most of the delegates would be easily swayed towards Osinbajo right inside the ballot cage, where they would thumb-print their ballot, fold it and come out openly to cast it in the ballot box. Mark you, it is going to be the same ballot box for all candidates, so you cannot know who was voted until the ballots are sorted and counted.

Tinubu's bad faith towards Ambode: The bad deed that Tinubu did to Ambode is still fresh in the minds of the governors, both single-term and second-term governors. it is on record that the governors overwhelmingly rejected the direct primaries simply because Tinubu and his men in NASS arranged to have them treated like Ambode. moreso, it was reported that the APC governor's forum led by Atiku Bagudu (who is still in charge by the way), went to Tinubu's residence in Abuja to beg and prostrate to the Jagaban to allow Ambode to complete his tenure, but baba shuns them. Now, he is running after the same Bagudu, even going to the Kebbi Lodge to beg then. They are sure to require their pound of flesh on behalf of Ambode.

Religious sentiments: Since 2015 Nigeria has been governed by a Muslim, Muhammadu Buhari. If another Muslim from the South takes over from Buhari in 2023, the Muslims would have had another 8 years, making a total of 16. Now when power returns to the North, obviously another Muslim would take over for another 8 years. In total, the Muslims would be president from 2015 - to 2039, a whopping 24 uninterrupted years. That is NOT FEASIBLE. Hence, rational as the delegates are, they would avoid such a trap that would easily hand power back to the PDP. The delegates would rather vote for Osinbajo than Tinubu.

Running mate wahahala: We all recall the challenges that Buhari faced in choosing a running mate in 2015. Buhari was under pressure to avoid the Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015, even with over 10 million Northern votes in the kitty. Tells that with a Tinubu's candidacy, it would be tougher for APC. Firstly, Tinubu does not have the cult following that Buhari commanded in 2015. Secondly, the North would never accept a Northern Christian VP, this is an unwritten law. Adopting such would mean FAILURE in the North. Hence the only option that Tinubu would have is a Muslim-Muslim ticket, which would FAIL woefully at elections. Even APC NEC would advise against such a move. The obvious alternative would be Osinbajo.

Unaccounted Baggages: Accountability is the acceptance of responsibility for one's own actions. It implies a willingness to be transparent, allowing others to observe and evaluate one's performance. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Measured on these two words, Osinbajo would beat Tinubu by a clear distance. Firstly, Tinubu has held Lagos to a stranglehold for the past 23 years. He has made sure that his son controls all the key revenue-generating sectors of the state, the numerous toll gates, etc. His daughter controls all the markets in Lagos, his son-in-law is in NASS, and his wife is a senator for life, he receives 10% tithes from Lagos State. These are baggages that Nigeria's state cannot accommodate. Even now, he has closed NURTW in Lagos and handed it over to his cronies. Is this the type of person that Nigeria wants to give power over the nation and national treasury and power?
Responsible delegates would avoid such a person because, when push goes to shove, Nigerians would be better off without such baggages. Hence the Osinbajo appeal would suffice.

Academic and foundational credence: Tinubu's state of origin, early education, age, and birth are all mysteries. Noone knows where he is from. Noone knows his father, no one knows where he got his first school leaving certificate nor his high school certificate nor diploma. All we hear is that he graduated from some University in the USA. There are those that say that his daughter is 61 years old while Tinubu is claiming 70 years old. That is a mystery too many to be overlooked. Hence Osinbajo would come as a sterling candidate to sell rather than a Tunubu with these baggages of unexplained mysteries.

Conclusion: Osinbajo would trounce Tinubu in APC primaries. However, APC may not form the next government, no matter who they field!
Correct analysis, i wrote about how osinbajo will win with landslide but they don't believe, my only argument about your write up is that I don't think pdp will win in 2023.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Blame Lagos APC They’re Not Used To Democracy by MikoB: 10:37am On Apr 14, 2022
LillyandDaisy:
DON'T BLAME THE APC MEMBERS IN LAGOS, THEY'RE NOT USED TO DEMOCRACY

Politicians in the Lagos APC do not understand what democracy is all about because they have never experienced, tasted or practiced it. Since 1999, they have been toeing the same path of "Bourdillon sọ pé". They have been working for one man and one man only. Compare that to Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Osun or Ogun States where people removed their governors without having to take instructions from a lord who to vote or not to vote for.

In Lagos, no initiative or discretion is allowed. Every member of the APC in Lagos exists for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu only. They cannot "misbehave". They are like chickens in a cage. They don't have thoughts of their own. Unlike in other Yoruba states where a sitting governor may not even secure a Senatorial seat. Where the preferred candidate of an outgoing governor may not win. In Lagos, dictatorship rather than freewill prevails. No one dare argue with Tinubu. It's strange, very strange to see anyone do so. It's a taboo. That is why everyone engages in a rat race to curry the favours of the prominent couple on Bourdillon Road. This explains why APC members who see Osinbajo's declaration against their demigod should be forgiven. They're not used to seeing people express a different or contrary view to the one expressed by Asiwaju. To them, Asiwaju is God. Whatever he says must come to pass. It is not in their character to think for themselves.

If Tinubu shows interest in having any of their wives, they will gladly and excitedly offer to personally take the wife to any hotel of Tinubu's choice just so they can see him even if he will still discard them like a rag. The Yoruba call such attitude "Atẹnujẹ". Atẹnujẹ is a word for both the unreasonable and desperate man ready to take any insults just to feed as well as the gluttony who is ready to do anything for the sake of a filthy lucre.

They call him Jagaban of Borgu, a town in Niger State because he likes to be so called not because the title per se has any serious traditional meaning or relevant to the chieftaincy hierarchy of Borgu. "Throw corns to the chickens". That's how he addresses his spineless supporters and followers. Whatever he says or ordered reverberates and resonates within the party structure in Lagos so quickly that instant affirmation follows. Even if there are superior views, no one dare express them.

The tamed political followership in Lagos cannot fathom how a mortal being can argue with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is a taboo. It is unheard of. It is sacrilegious. Having been weaned from the political dogmatism of Lagos State, VP Osinbajo's declaration, much as it is a soothing balm to most Nigerians, remains an effrontery to Lagos APC members. They can't think out of the box. They are quick to point to ingratitude or betrayal.

Pray, does the public office of Lagos State belong to the Tinubu family from which Asiwaju dishes out favours as he wills? Are the public offices not funded by tax payers' money? Was Asiwaju himself not helped, assisted and favoured by the likes of PA Abraham Adesanya, Ganiyu Dawodu and co over the late Engr. Funsho Williams in 1998? Has anyone bothered to ask how he repaid those elders and with what he repaid them with? Within 8 years, Asiwaju used nothing less than 3 deputy governors. What does that tell anyone about his team play?

Babatunde Raji Fashola was not to be given a second term ticket until Tinubu saw the handwriting of Lagosians (not Lagos ACN of the time) on the wall. He reprobates and approbates at the same time.

Because of his unquenchable thirst for primitive accumulation, Lagos State has lost all the gains of the Fashola years. The State now looks like a big chaotic scene of a horror movie where nothing functions. Don't blame the Lagos APC members. They ain't used to democracy. They are strangers to independent mindedness.

But they should be reminded, whether they recognize it or not, that the patronage Tinubu dishes does not belong to him or his family. It is a commonwealth. The man Asiwaju, does no favour without expecting quantum rewards in return.

This is the character the Lagos APC members want as Nigeria's president. Take a look at Lagos where the sitting governor, who's a general manager reporting to a CEO, can barely think of his own accord. Take a look at the dysfunctionality of the city of Lagos under his supervision and you wouldn't want Nigeria to become likewise.
You are 100% correct, I told people fashola was the last governor lagos had, can you imagine lagos gdp is bigger than that of Oslo Norway and many big Europeans cities, but can you campare them? The longest road sanwo olu has constructed is not more than 8km at a stretch, but look at some other states with lower revenues, and compare the roads constructed by them, the last time akwa ibom commissioned 27km Road at a stretch, i will write about what's going on lagos subsequently.

Osinbajo presidency is not going to promise change like Buhari, he is bringing The effects instead.

When right policies are made, the masses must feel the impacts and the effects.

We have all witnessed what Osinbajo did with the little time he had full power, now imagine giving him the chance to be in full control of the affairs of this country. When it comes to policy making, it has never been politics as usual to Osinbajo rather the policies that would be sustainable to make the really effects positively on the masses.

Things to be on priority list.

1. Stop or reduce the oil bunkering. Yearly, we loose up to $4bn on oil bunkering. On average of 150,000 barrels of oil a day. That's a lot, stopping or reducing would bring extra to the income of the government.

2. Subsidy- How can government be paying subsidy for the oil that have been sold already to foreign countries, FG have been paying ghost subsidy on the oil that have never been to Nigeria. We could save a lot if FG monitor what they are paying subsidy for.

3. Refinery- Isn't shameful that since Nigeria independent, we have not had a reliable refinery to refine our crude oil. Billion of dollars are being wasted in the process of refining our crude outside Nigeria. How much does it cost to build a standard refinery, even if it's 1, it's a start.

4. Security- When military left the power, they bastardized the army, navy and NAF. None of the democratic president have ever look into how those security forces are structured. It was designed/structured to benefit only the past military men who have been recycling their errand boys at the top position. What is Boko Haram? Are there fighters up to Nigeria police force in Number?

There are saboteurs in NAF, Police, Army and Navy benefitting from the extention of fighting the miscreants Boko Haram and other rag tags . Full restructuring of our security sector would be one of the primary objective of Osinbajo's presidency . We can't be wasting money buying weapons in fighting ghosts.

5. Youths empowerment: The money generated from the first 2 points could be useful in empowering our youths. There are already plans and strategy about how to make that work.

More to come, more loading....The effects would be irrespective of region, religion, tribe or ethnicity, it's all yafun yafun for all Nigerians.

On mandate of Osinbajo I stand

Osinbajo for Nigeria president 2023.

We may need to revisit how Jonathan became a household name in 2010. Similar thing is playing out right now. Osinbajo has the touch to deliver victory for APC in the general election. The task is now how the leaders would ensure he win the primary.

To Tinubu supporters who think SW delegates is in the pocket of Tinubu, I see there limited understanding about the politics on ground.

We should remember that ex-legislators will be voting as delegates and the number of ex legislators are more than the current legislators. The sad thing is that Tinubu has a hand in everything that makes those legislators became ex, especially those from Lagos and this could be the right time for them to take back the pound of flesh. Politics is dynamic, In Tinubu strength lies his weaknesses. I won't reveal more than this for now

PRESS RELEASE

THE ACCUSATION THAT GOVERNOR DAVID NWEZE UMAHI OF EBONYI STATE AND THE PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL COME 2023 HAS DROPPED OUT FROM 2023 PRESIDENTIAL RACE IS A DEMOSTRATION OF FEAR OF THESE RUMOR MONGERS.

The attention of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Ebonyi State Chapter has been drawn to a faceless and mendacious publication accusing the APC Presidential aspirant and Executive Governor of Ebonyi State of dropping out from 2023 presidential race.

We would have ignored the senseless junk as it is coming from envious and mischievous opposition groups but for the purpose of clarity, we wish to State as follows:

1. That the amateur publication that the Executive Governor of Ebonyi of Ebonyi State and our Presidential hopeful come 2023, His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze

2. That these Political punks behind this rumor has demostrated their fear and inability to match the intimidating rising profile of Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi as it concerns 2023 Presidential race.

3. That it is very disheartening that these Political neophytes are not in tandem with what Nigerians yearn for instead of sorting ways into the heart of Nigerians, they resort to epileptic propaganda and lies in other to kill the love and acceptability of Nigerians on Engr David Nweze Umahi, which is not possible.

4. That we wish to State categorically clear that His Excellency, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi remains the best to pick the Presidential ticket of APC, and as such, this singular act is the fear of those posting this lie and propaganda.

5. That as APC family, we are solidly with our Presidential hopeful come 2023 and we call on all well meaning Nigerians to discard the gimmicks of the opposition elements and continue with their unwavering supports for Governor David Nweze Umahi as President come 2023.

Governor David Umahi has declared his intention to contest the Ebonyi South senatorial seat ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Mr Umahi, whose eight-year tenure as governor ends in 2023, was initially nursing a presidential ambition and had vowed to continue the policies of President Muhammadu Buhari if elected.

It is unclear the factors that informed the governor’s decision to abandon his presidential ambition as his spokesperson, Francis Nwaeze, had yet to respond to Peoples Gazette’s inquiry at the time of filing this report.
The sudden drop from the presidential race with other party heavyweights like vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, has raised eyebrow among major stakeholders.

The governor has been embroiled in a legal brawl with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Abuja division of the Federal High Court on March 8, sacked Mr Umahi and his deputy, Kelechi Igwe, from the Ebonyi governorship seat, after the PDP successfully argued that votes in Nigerian elections belonged to political parties and not candidates.

However, an appellate court in Enugu upheld Mr Umahi’s position as governor, stating that his defection was constitutional, albeit immoral.

In a matter of weeks you will understand, politics is local, especially primary elections.

You said he met with leaders of the legislatives, this are well known tinubu yes men.
Will you come back here and give respect when it's obvious dapo is with osinbajo?
