MikoB: For some time on this forum, I have been telling people how prepared the vice president yemi osinbajo was, but not too many believed me, some even called me comedian because, they think osinbajo is a political novice, despite knowing fully well he is a PROFESSOR and a SAN for that matter, let me just believe either they are too young or they are just naive! Let me talk about the primaries coming up in apc, most people think Buhari is going to impose someone in the name of consensus, but I don't think so, there is a topic I created concerning why that will not work out in apc as of today, having said that many people also believe if apc primaries either direct or indirect that asiwaju tinubu will coast home to victory easily they have right to think that way, after all he is the jagaban, but let me burst you guys bubble, both direct or indirect form of primary whichever one the party adopts next month, osinbajo will win with landslide, I will highlight my reasons here, either you believe it or not tinubu does not have more than 7 states decided on his mandate, you might not believe this, it will be review in the coming weeks, let me give you a hint, the whole of ss and se states, no one is sure for him, both in delegates and direct primaries, and that is 11 states, in the South West, he has lagos, osun for a keep, ondo, ekiti are swing states, while ogun and oyo are for osinbajo. In the northern states asiwaju has, sokoto, kano for keep, with about other 3 which is 60:40 for him, and all others forget it. The only state important for osinbajo to have in sw is ogun state which he has gotten, because it will be a political suicidal if he does not. I know many people will say what about other aspirants, anyway I will not underate anyone, my permutation is in consideration if the battle go down between tinubu and osinbajo, Umahi will surely follow the presidency should incase he drops his ambition likewise Amaechi and yaya bello. Another reason osinbajo will win is if buhari gives him the power to use, like how he summoned the governors to a meeting, and asiwaju could only begged for the audience of the governors, with the permission of the president osinbajo can decide to invite adamu the apc chairman to his office, hell will not fall, if he uses his power as a VP the doubting Thomases will have different opinion for sure. Thanks This is the continuation of the topic above, as you can see I have not even finished the write up in the morning that we heard the VP has invited the senators to a meeting, this is what we call the respect and capacity of the seat of the VP. So back to the reasons why VP will win, 1)he has the power of incumbency, as long as his boss buhari allow him to use it, and we all know what that means. 2)all the states that have no apc governors I can bet you 80% of them are with the VP, that was why I gave example of oyo state structure control by late alao akala and teslim folarin in my previous post, and the structure is in favour of osinbajo, the one loyal to asiwaju lead by adelabu pekelemes lost out, you can all see the intrigues that happened in sokoto, anyway asiwaju faction les by the former governor of sokoto got it eventually through court. Asiwaju has not been able to penetrate the ss and the se regions, and these states account for the majority of states without apc governors, so you can do your mathematic yourself, don't tell me omo agege is for asiwaju, if you say that is as if you still believe dapo abiodun is for asiwaju, every information I am giving here will become clearer for you guys as time goes on. 3)the love people have for osinbajo, both politicians and ordinary people, even people for his opponent don't really have problem with him,so his acceptability is not in question, all these will count during the primary. 4)the president Buhari factor, as we all can see osinbajo is likely the candidate if buhari, and I can bet you Buhari will influence the direction where 80% of the governors will go, change is the only permanent thing in life, it might turn out tomorrow that buhari favourite might not be osinbajo, but as today I think it is Osinbajo, anyway time will tell. |

hisexcellency34: Outgoing governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi will any moment from now announce his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Also expected to join the race is former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who currently represents Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
A presidency source informed DAILY INDEPENDENT that both men have already informed President Muhammadu Buhari of their desire to contest and he gave them his blessings.
Our source said while Fayemi is banking on his status as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), former Minister of Mines and Steel Development and as Returning Officer of the 2014 APC presidential primary election which produced Buhari, Amosun is banking on his relationship with President Buhari since their days in the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP).
If both men declare, they will be joining the growing list of aspirants which include the current Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Kogi state counterpart, Yahaya Bello.
Others are Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation, Rochas Okorocha, former Imo state governor and Orji Uzor Kalu, former Abia State Governor.
Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is also rumoured to be interested in running on the platform of the APC but he is yet to open up on whether he will also join the race or not.
Although the APC is yet to zone the presidential ticket, there are indication it would zone it to the South which comprises the South-west, South-east and South-south geo-political zones.
The national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is from the Northern part of the country. https://independent.ng/2023-fayemi-amosun-set-to-declare-for-presidency/ Good development, they are welcome on board! |

Donshegxy10: Most of you are politically naive, osinbajo summoned governors AND 10 SHOWED UP, tinubu begged them and 14 showed up.
Osinbajo will not even win ogun delegates, is it not the same ogun state under dapo abiodun.
Osinbajo will be meeting apc senators today, by tomorrow please quote me and tell me how many people turn up, remember that when asiwaju met with the senators even pdp and apga senators showed up.
I know that in few weeks many of you will understand why they call asiwaju the greatest strategist of our time.
The fact today is that without tinubu structure apc cannot win the presidential election. Lolz, the problem with you guys is that you don't take your time before concluding on matters, ogun state is as good as 100% for osinbajo, oyo state apc recognised executive is late alao akala and senator teslim folarin faction, which is working for osinbajo, adelabu pekelemes is tinubu's faction and they lost out. I will come and expantiate better, when I am free after work. |

Politics › Re: To All Osinbajo Supporters.... by MikoB: 8:36am On Apr 12, 2022 |
helinues: Well, let me say welcome on board, I made my own intentions known about supporting Osinbajo for the 2023 precisely 2 years ago on this forum, it was a brief discussion actually.
In other to secure good victory for PYO, I have some suggestions and opinions
1. We don't have enemies The oppositions are not our enemies but just those who might not have been understanding our message or have entirely different opinions about 2023 race. They are not a threat, infact, they are still our brothers, sisters, uncles, father's, Mother's irrespective of religion or region. Engaging with them maturely is what can bring more people to our camp
2. It's time to give back to the community Some Nigerians have the mentality/perception of giving back to the community only when they are elected into political positions or any form of power. That's wrong, a little contribution from individuals would really change things. In any capacity you can, it's time to give back to the community. Not necessarily have to be about money, if you are in position of helping others, if you have a contact someone has been looking for, share it and make the difference
3. There is no need of petty groups Osinbajo this group,Osinbajo that group, Osinbajo those group are just a means of enriching the opportunists most especially when it involved donations., Ko necessary.Don't waste your money all in the name of donations, don't waste your time all in the name of attending online/offline meetings. Infact, fake groups would definitely emerge to scam people. Give directly to those around you.
4. The oppositions are not that tough Those who might be opposing Osibanjo's presidency are mostly those who need to be enlightened. With constructive arguments/submissions, we could still win some of them to our camp
5. Don't make lies to support your arguments Lying just to back who you are supporting is not necessary. Inconsistency is really important in winning more people to our camp. You don't have to lie to support your arguments cos people would burst your lies and that's not good for our camp.
6. Don't make your support only online Elections are not won online though winning people online is a plus, the real voters are in real life, extend your support to friends, families and colleagues. Tell them about PYO, spread the message of possible good things to happen to this country if he is elected.
PYO all the way #StarBoyLightningNigeria You are welcome bro! Your suggestions are noted! |

Validated: Atleast with the ward chaurman under his control, the ward cannot suspend nor expel him, which was what Oshomole suffered. As for structure, Isinbajo is NOT banking on SW APC, his support base is outside of Tinubu's SW APC. Right! Moreover the only governor he needs in sw is abiodun and he has gotten him, because that's his home state and not having your home state might be political suicidal. |

perambulator: you really are just full of shiit!!
You are clutching at straws because your bias is clouding your judgement or you are not an omoluabi! Osinbajo is likely contesting because he has backed himself into a corner and has no other option. he has alienated himself from his benefactor and so he probably figures he might as well contest. The president CANNOT afford to back him against Tinubu, he cannot win a primary and he will NOT be Nigeria's next president! He has now set himself up to be the fall guy if Tinubu doesnt get the presidency. I warned you weeks ago that it wont end well for him if he declares, now that he has made his move, he will return to his home in VGC as a traitor whatever happens. I told you weeks ago, he is in a lose-lose position, his face saving option was to have publicly withdrawn, now it's game on against the biggest political gladiator ever in the history of Nigeria. the stage is set and one of them is going to be humiliated....if not both. If it ends up being both then Osinbajo will be remembered as the greatest traitor in yoruba land more than Akintola or Fani Kayode Snr, probably second only to Afonja in yoruba history!!!
The yoruba nation is withing touching distance of the presidency, they will not forgive the yoruba man who sabotaged or attempted to sabotage it, if it doesnt happen. Future generations will refer to traitors as Osinbajo in the same way the name Afonja is used today!! You are young boy with no dignity to protect, can't you be responsible and talk politely for once? Try to be civil for once! |
Politics › Re: Nigerians Celebrate As Osinbajo Declares For 2023 Presidency by MikoB: 1:44pm On Apr 11, 2022 |
TheRareGem1: The internet was agog on Monday morning as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo declared his intentions to contest the 2023 presidency.
Osinbajo's stellar declaration which was via a pre-recorded video was aired simultaneously on many national television.
In speech, Prof. Osinbajo said there is need to complete what the Buhari administration has started which include radically transforming the security and intelligence architecture.
He also spoke about completing the reform of the justice system with focus on adequate remuneration and welfare of judicial personnel.
He harped on ensuring justice for all and the observance of rule of law as well as rapidly advancing our infrastructure development, especially power, roads, railways and broadband connectivity.
Reacting to Osinbajo's declaration, renowned journalist and lawyer, Richard Akinnola said, "Osinbajo’s innovative declaration today marks a tectonic shift of the paradigm. One, as a loyal and arguably the most cerebral Vice President in Nigeria’s history, Osinbajo has been laser-focused on his job. For instance, if Nigeria exited the COVID-inflicted recession earlier than the bookmakers forecasted, it is largely due to the creative leadership Osinbajo provided the Economic Sustenance Programme (ESP) initiated by President Buhari."
Similarly, Fejiro Johnson admired the approach Osinbajo used to declare. "In the digital age of technology and social media, metaverse, it makes perfect sense that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will make his declaration via the digital world. Not only would it garner massive mileage, but it would also reverberate across all traditional, digital and social media channels."
On social media, Nigerians used hashtags, OsinbajoDeclares and OsinbajoIsMyChoice to celebrate Osinbajo's declaration.
Commenting on the Vice President's declaration, Onowvo Omasoro Ali Ovie said, "I believe Osinbajo will be a good President for Nigerians and will go on a sweeping reform agenda to make our institutions work. Whenever he acted as President in the absence of Buhari, Nigerians of APC and PDP persuasion have always lauded his wits and leadership demonstration.
Sola Jimoh also had a say on the matter. "I’m in the Professor Yemi Osinbajo tent, in fact I’ll volunteer to work on his campaign should he be the nominee of the APC and in the event that he’s not, the APC still has my vote no matter who the nominee is.
Renowned lawyer and a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Arinola Awokoya wrote, "Professor Yemi Osinbajo's manifesto already purposefully stated in his declaration and it resonates with me. We must complete the regeneration of Nigeria and the revamp of our ethos," she wrote with the hashtag, #ISupportPYOWithMyChest.
Kikelomo Ademola says Osinbajo's Presidency bid will be a success. "The Odeshi 1! The man who refuses to be mocked by the cabals! Senior Advocate of the Masses has declared his intention to run as Nigeria President come 2023. It will be a success by God's grace. https://www.chronicle.ng/2022/04/nigerians-celebrate-as-osinbajo-declares-for-2023-presidency/ I am so happy today for his declaration because it also came the day of my son's birthday. perambulator: Shebi you said Osinbajo "summoning" Governors to his home is a sign he has Buhari's endorsement, what of Tinubu that "summoned" governors to another person's house is that a sign he has endorsement from God?
You really are clutching at straws. I have told you Osinbajo cannot win APC party primaries, even you have said that consensus will not work in APC because Tinubu will not back down for consensus. Osinbajo has not paid his dues and he has exposed himself as a treacherous man who betrayed his benefactor. he will go down in history as a traitor. The APC candidate will either be Amaechi or Tinubu. I restate it 100% Osinbajo will not be president of Nigeria because he will not get the ticket, if he is imposed the party will implode!!!
This is not presidency of Redeemed Camp. This is politics, you pay your dues! Now I can reply you, since there is no curse in this your comment, we are all here to gist share opinions we should not be cursing and abusing. Back to the topic. Osinbajo summoned them to his house, is different from tinubu went to meet them at their house, he never summoned! Like I said anybody can meet the governors if they do wish even Amaechi can meet them, but he can't summon to his house, you can never call a meeting as an assistant director in the office premises without the permission of your director, just a little illustration. murecool: There is something fascinating about the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his quick adaptation to dynamism and the current realities. It may be unusual, but he sets the pace each and everytime he makes a move.
This time it is a date with destiny, a courageous moment with a convincing power; that staying true to a long term dream of a better Nigeria where the numerical strength of the young generation can be transformed into development, wealth and stay as a unifier amidst the current situation.
Maybe we ain't used to virtual means of communication, but the pandemic has taught us in many ways to cut cost, especially with how Prof. Osinbajo effectively used the virtual meetings to reduce the stress of the members of the National Economic Council. He scored a first, proving that no matter what the situation may be: We move!
Many dust has been raised by people who where waiting for a glamorous declaration where billions of naira will be squandered. A declaration where public funds will be used to service some individuals. A declaration that will cause traffic and inconvenience commuters on a Monday morning.
But it is not business as usual; a new sheriff is coming. A new dawn is coming.
Just few hours after his declaration, approximately a million people have watched the the videos, a message well delivered, across all his social media platforms.
Welcome to a new dispensation, many miles away from the stone age. You are absolutely right |
